Greatest place to visit on Thursdays. This little club is not really a club at all. Its a games night, but who am I to judge. oh wait, that’s what this site is all about. At first site: The«club» has a really romantic ambiance. For a ping pong night to have a candle lit lounge and jenga, it kind of surprises you, but in a good way. So my pals and I go in, meet Jeremy, the bartender/host and ask what it’s all about. This guy who’s probably in his late 20’s/early 30’s say to us «My buddy and I wanted to bring Ping Pong to Vancouver.» I had to respond ’cause it just didn’t seem right, so I asked«You mean to tell me that there’s no other place to play Ping Pong in Vancouver?» Jeremy smiled and said«There are plenty of places to play in the city, you have the Vancouver Table Tennis Club that is mostly for league play(and no drinking), there’s an occasional night at the Biltmore, there are other legions on Commercial I think that have 1 table, or you can play in someone’s garage, basement or balcony.» Jeremy was really charming, he had this way about him that made you want to hang out, learn more about Kitsilano and before we knew it we had numbers to great restaurants nearby, cold beers in our hands and we were signing up to play for an hour of Ping Pong. This place is really loads of fun. The music was a funky playlist of soul, hip hop and… well, funk. I really like this place and wish there were more spots like it. Totally going back, and bringing more friends next time.
