I went to Le Château because I knew I could easily find a big black belt at a cheap price. I need it for a one-time event, so I figured I would not invest too much time or money looking for the belt. 5 stars service — the lady who helped me look for the belt was super nice and helpful. She asked about my dress(color, style, material) and what I was thinking about and directed me to the best options. She was great! I was very surprised by the service and attention I received. 1 star quality & style — The quality of the clothing is low and the prices were not that cheap. 1 star location — the location is awesome, hence I have no idea what a Le Château is doing there… it seems misplaced compared to all the other unique, independent, & local shops in the area.

My heart breaks a little every time I walk by this Le Château… such a beautiful building on an amazing shopping destination street… and they let a Le Château some how weasel it’s way onto the street… I would seriously like to talk to someone about that. is there like a board of people that decide what’s best of a neighborhood? They really should have done some research ’cause I’m pretty sure that the Kits crowd do not shop at Le Crapeau… they should stick to suburban malls and the prairies. The Clothes are terrible. I used to buy a few pieces back in my clubbing days. they did have the best raving gear. but it was always a wear and through out item… if you even try to wash something it generally never looks the same again… and as the years go buy the quality gets worse yet the price gets higher… I am am sad to say they are a Canadian company… thankfully we have many others that are far superior and Le Château is not the basis of a Canadian clothing store… Oh.and the service… HA…that’s really all I can say…

I’ve seen this store around town in several locations, but I had never been inside. Today I finally went in to browse. I thought the dresses in here would be around sixty bucks. Whoa– was I wrong! Most of the price tags I saw were hovering over one hundred dollars. Not the store for me. I thought this would be an average«mall-type» store, but these prices really set it apart. Not sure if the quality is magnificent enough to justify this.

Le Château wins points here for building choice alone. The building is one of the few heritage spots in Kitsilano and it is fun to walk through the bright open space. The actual stock in the store is the same you’d find in stores from Haliifax through to Montréal: mini dresses pinned tight on miniature-waisted mannequins. The accessories section can be fun and often you can find a good deal or two. But mostly, just go to see the building.
