Great gift shop and stopping point for food to go. In the park. Good quiches, sausage rolls, and banana loaf. Not too expensive, something for everyone, and tasty. A nice lunch and plenty of space all around you for a real nice picnic.

Visiting Stanley Park and stop into the shop — excellent selection of reasonable priced first nation art and gifts. Extremely friendly and knowledgable staff. The owner went out of her way to help four tired out-of-towners get back to their hotel — excellent experience.

I’m note sure why this is rated so low. I thought that the totems were amazing. They are awesome representation of many of the art forms of the native tribes of BC and the Pacific Northwest. Each totem has it’s own story and is highly unique and different than any I’ve ever seen. They are all kept is wonderful shape even though they are exposed to the elements on a daily basis which may harm the vibrant paints of the totems. Even the surrounding area or «park» is well kept with benches to sit on and a little informational area, also with chairs and benches, to learn about the nations of indigenous peoples and how they have moved through and around BC. To view the totems and walk around and gain some culture is free. It was a great place for kids to learn as well as adults. Each totem has a placard directly in front of it that details what each totem represents and what each of the figures of the totems is. It also tells a little story about the tribe that the totem represents and how it was commissioned. I did also take a gander at the store. Everything in the store seemed to be genuinely made by a First Nations tribe, hence the price tag. Most of the items were a little spendy, so I opted to get post cards. Although, everything was very well crafted or painted and I would have been more than happy to take home some of the items if they weren’t so pricey. I would definitely say this is a place to see within Stanley Park, so check it out… even if it’s a brief stop.

Legends of the Moon is part of Vancouver Park Board Building that Faces Stanley Park Indigenous /Native /Indian; Narrative Ceremonial Poles exhibit. This building provides restroom services for large area of the park. I have always wondered why there is No Outside Drinking fountain for park visitors and residents to use. I did find drinking fountain inside the men room which I less then desirable to use then outdoor drinking which is well needed in that location. Hopefully some park board members or staff are reading Unilocal reviews

Footsteps away from the Totem Poles exhibit in Stanley Park was this tourist trap. Naturally groups of folks wandered in to check out this gift shop which had t-shirts, postcards, magnets and more. They even had a café inside that offered coffees, teas and desserts. Restrooms were conveniently located adjacent to the front entrance. I got a little miniature hand-painted totem pole along with some shirts and other souvenirs for the girls. After we chomped on some ice cream onward ho…
