Light the Store

This place is a true ten in our city. Yes, some of the lamps are
expensive –but you have selection and distinctive designs that
are seen no where else.
I have purchased lamps and light fixtures from this company for
years in their previous locations — and here on 41^st. I agree with the
lady who said «if they don’s have it, they will order it for you.»
While sometimes the service people are a little «detached» — they get
the job done– and you get a lamp that’s a keeper.

Went to buy a high quality light from an experienced professional — walked out after he told me the price was 900.00 then went into the back room to make a phone call to come back to tell me he made a mistake. The price was now 1000.00! This shop should be bankrupt soon, so keep your eyes out for going out of business sales.

I was recommended this store to check out by chance. Although they didn’t have specifically what I needed, the person whom assistant me was more than helpful in guiding me in the right direction. I came all the way from Surrey that day, based on this chance to get said item. I didn’t find the visit a waste since good customer service in general is hard to find.

I haven’t met the manager or owner but I doubt they would be
any better — what kind of person would hire idiots like these anyway?!
He must not care too much they are losing business for him.

Why, you may ask (or not… realistically you probably don’t care) is this food-​obsessed Unilocaler taking time out of her busy eating schedule to review a lighting store? The answer is quite simple, Light the Store helped me out when I was in a bind and in return, I hope to spread the word on this great specialty lighting store.
The situation is that my parents called me up at 1:00PM a day before I left for my cabin (where they had already settled in for Christmas in a few days) to tell me that they needed me to pick up a few things. The problem was that one of these things was a specialty light bulb that my father had accidentally broken while changing it for a burnt out one in the kitchen. Um… okay. So where do I find this particular rare light bulb in the next 24 hours? I figured I could probably just pick it up from any of the hardware stores in the city… but I was horribly mistaken. I called up practically every hardware store and lighting store within a 1 hours drive of my house and came up empty handed. Then I stumbled upon Light the Store.
They, like everyone else on planet earth, did not have the bulb in stoke; however, they did promise to freight it in to the store by the next morning at 7am at almost no cost to me! Amazing, they were friendly, efficient, and went out of their way to help me with something that probably garnered them almost zero-​profit (I mean I was buying a single light bulb). When I went in to the store the next morning they handed over my purchase, made a bit of friendly small talk and sent me on my way.
So, if you are looking for some lights or lighting products, please give Light the Store a try… if they don’t have it, they will get it: D
