The guy there is really friendly and has good advice for storing and prepping lobster. Guess the weight and get half off. A nice little shop for lobsters both fresh and frozen at various sizes. He says lobster gets shipped daily so call ahead to ensure you get what you want.

Went to check out«Lobster Only» after finding and reading the posts here. I was duly impressed with the great selection of lobster items, both fresh and frozen and the friendly proprietor we met who was not only informative but a true pleasure to talk to. Had no idea he had been here 19 years. Looking forward to the lobster sausages and making lobster bisque and oil tomorrow with the items now in my freezer. A few recipes I zeroed in on that I will soon be making:

The owner is friendly and helpful for sure. However, when I guess the weight of the lobster right, he did not give me the lobster for free. He just kept talking and ignored about what he promised. So, he is super good at selling but no integrity.

I love this place. It is the tiniest fresh/frozen lobster shop, in the most obscure location. Such a good deal for lobster. The secret is in the claw. Meat is more tender than the tail and it’s cheaper! The best part of this store is the cute little man that runs it. He’s quite the character.

$ 7 for a lobster tail with a Unilocal check-in? Don’t mind if I do! The owner is super friendly and really takes the time to explain how to prepare your lobster. For compete newbies like myself, I was really impressed. Will be back.

The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. I had never bought lobsters before let alone knowing how to cook them. I was very uncomfortable having to «kill» them myself so the owner cut them and prepare them for me. He also helped me pick the right size and he was not trying to oversell me larger lobsters. He helped me plan the special dinner for my partner and I was very grateful. The price is very reasonable and the lobsters tasted really good and fresh. I will definitely come back again. p. s. Before I left the store the owner gave me 2 empty lobster shells that he cleaned and sanitized. He said it was for good luck and I could put them for display in my house. It was extremely nice of him!

Came in to check it out and loved it! will definitely come back. We walked in not thinking we’d buy anything but walked out with 2 lobsters and lobster sausages. The man there was very funny and helpful. You get to guess the weight of your lobster and if you get it exact, it’s free! I’d defiantly come back and try the burgers and dumplings.

This is now the only place we will purchase lobster! Three tails, shelled, for $ 17. This little storefront is located on East Broadway, one block east of Kingsway. Blink and you will miss it. Little to no signage, look for a photo of a lobster in the window. Open from 1pm to 5pm Monday to Saturday, Sunday 2 to 4pm, and cash only; but worth it. We bought rib eye steaks at the neighbouring Buy-Low and feasted on home cooking. Yum! Good lobster!

I owe my better half a shout for finding Lobsters Only Seafood. It’s very easy to overlook this store while you’re driving by. In fact, I’ve been in the area many times before, but never noticed it. It’s worth going out of your regular routine of buying from the grocery store, or eating out at a restaurant. I’ve spent WAY too much money at the Asian grocery store, even when the lobster goes on sale: $ 7.99/lb, but the smallest lobster is at least 4 pounds. THEN you bring it home to cook, only to find that the meat shrunk to less than half its size – EPICFAIL and WASTE of money. We bought two lobsters from Nova Scotia weighing over 2 pounds each for $ 43. The manager/owner was amazingly friendly and helpful – someone you would love to come back and visit again. He also gave us cooking tips for the perfect lobster and he did not disappoint. The lobster shell was difficult to crack through with a cracker, so we used a meat tenderizer… great for stress relief as you pound away. A lobster shell that is as hard as a rock is a tell tale sign of a meaty lobster! And I have to say that this was the sweetest, meatiest lobster I’ve had. I come from a family who eats lobster often enough to make it a breakfast… and let me tell you that it’s difficult to get prime lobster. I have no idea why this place isn’t as well known because you cannot get better product for the price. Oh well… I guess that just leaves more tasty morsels for me.

This place is fantastic!!! Great selection of seafood at reasonable prices. The owner is incredibly helpful with tips for cooking. Also if you guess the wight of your purchase you get it free… I was only .01 of a lb off so he gave me $ 5 off. I would highly recommend this place… but remember CASHONLY

This review on behalf of my lovely boyfriend who decided to cook me lobster for my birthday. I didn’t actually go, myself. It was his first time buying or cooking lobster, and he found the fellow(owner?) very friendly and helpful. He gave cooking tips, and if you guess the weight of the lobster you get it free! We may just go back for the Dungeness crab. Very tasty crab/shrimp/lobster cakes too!
