Came here to pick up some items for a meat and cheese board. I bought the prosciutto(150mg), German salami(150mg), brie(block), smoked gouda(100mg), a box of red olives from Italy, a box of pickled red vegetables(100mg only $ 1.50), and a jar of artichoke hearts — all for $ 38, not bad at all. Everything was delicious and made for the perfect meat and cheese board. Reasonably priced and a great selection of cured meats(not the biggest selection of cheeses though.)

The photo speaks for itself. Dishonesty at its best. Tried to contact and no reply over a week later.

After reading the reviews, decided to check it out Ordered the mortadella Been back twice since, once again for the mortadella, and another time for the Prosciutto Good friendly service, unpretentious, solid place Recommend for a sandwich shop And yes, the mortadella sandwich is very good!

Small family run European café cum grocery store on Burrard st just off Davie. The café is very reasonable and you get a good bang for your buck. The sandwiches are cheap and the portions are generous. I like the breakfast sandwiches, The Ukrainian burger and the sausage sandwich. The couple who run this place are very friendly. The also have a wide selection of sausages, cold cuts & Cheese. They are open from 8am to 6pm on weekdays and they close at 5pm on weekends. Food: Good Service :Friendly Ambiance: Casual Worth the price: Yes

I absolutely love this place. The owner is very nice and gave attentive service for a deli where he asked exactly how I wanted my perogies and meatballs. I grew up in a Ukrainian town, so the food was very nostalgic and up to par with my standards. My husband got a sandwich which was excellent as well. After going there a few times they have started to recognize us and began giving us little treats like a nice Ukrainian chocolates. I definitely recommend this place not just because of the customized good food, but because lovely mom and pop shop that give you the warm fuzzy feeling of supporting a local business.

Popped in here for a take out dinner. Ordered the perogies; the person taking my order asked if I wanted bacon so I went with bacon and onions. Now when I ordered bacon I was expecting a few small cut up pieces, I got 5 huge strips of bacon! The perogies were delicious, as was my friends sandwich. I will definitely be coming back.

We used Sandwich Express to cater our wedding ceremony. We were very impressed with what Sandwich Express delivered. The food was beautiful and very delicious! the presentation was magnificent. This company was very professional and easy to deal with. They are very flexible and willing to adjust they’re menu to cater to your needs. Everything we ordered was a big hit especially the salmon locks and the four season salad. This company is quite affordable and depending on location they offer free delivery! We are very happy we went with sandwich express for our event and recommend them for anyone else! Drop in to see them and ask for Boris!

I was dogsitting in this neighbourhood and on the search for cheap eats in the vicinity and so I stopped in based on the Unilocal reviews. I stopped in with a friend and we shared the large perogies with meatballs. It’s a very healthy portion and we were both so full after lunch… also hitting food coma pretty severely, haha. The perogies were big and fresh and while I’ve never had them served this way, the meatballs and sauce went really well. If I happen to be nearby in the future, I’d love to try the $ 3.50 mortadella sandwich. I also noticed that the deli items are well priced and I would definitely consider dropping in here before heading to a friend’s place to bring some nice cheeses and meats. I wouldn’t say that I’m quite a fan of the place(thus the three-star rating)…service was fine but I didn’t find myself as charmed as other reviewers. In the end, the value of our meal was good when split between the two of us but it didn’t blow my mind. I hope to have opportunities to return but I don’t think I’ll crave the food.

I can’t think of any other place in town where you can get a sandwich for $ 3.50(incl tax!). And it’s a big sandwich, totally satisfying. I came in for the sandwich special, but I’ll probably be back for the other deli stuff.

* Tempting * I had time for a very quick lunch and was passing by what looked like a fairly typical deli. I popped in for a quick sandwich, but was almost distracted by the more comprehensive menu which included treats like cabbage rolls, schnitzel, goulash, and perogies. Damn, if I only had time! In any case, I grabbed a quick mortadella triple decker sandwich on wheat for a very reasonable $ 3.50(tax included!). It hit the spot for a quick bite with very fresh(yet commercial) bread, fresh veggies, and a reasonable amount of mortadella. Satisfying quick snack: But I’ll definitely be back with more time to spend to try the Eastern European specialties they also offer for those with a bit more time. Can’t wait to try!

I am always charmed by places that sell European snacks and cookies. Walking in it’s like a museum of unique cookies and treats. The shop guy was really sweet and nice. There is a certain charm that I find lacks and misses from most sandwich shops.

Holy Dynamo Kyiv! This place I walked by numerous times and also got their two-for-one sando coupon in the mail but never used. I finally did and i love the Ukrainian couple who run the place. The sandwiches are good but better are the prices of the deli meats and cheeses. Plus you can’t beat the coffee and tea prices. Stop by to sip, sit and enjoy the place. Plus the goofy«cabbage rolls and coffee, mm, mm, good» Shmenge-like Ukrainian women on the sandwich board on the street is worth a photo op. When I have time I’m going to go through what else they have

walking through downtown Vancouver on a recent trip, I stumbled into this Ukranian deli quite by accident. a very happy accident, though, indeed. this place is AMAZING! fresh food and TREMENDOUS perogies. i’m a foodie and live in NYC so this a major statement. have Galina make you a triple decker with both ham and mortadella. tell her the guy from NYC sent ya! truly truly great. and wicked cheap!
