I have two of Martha Sturdy’s paintings as well as some resin platters and vases. I also have two of her steel coffee tables which are sleek and elegant. Yes, I’m a huge fan of her minimalist, timeless look and large scale — believe it or not it looks amazing in my Vancouver ‘character home’ (a home that’s over 20 years old for you Easterners!).

But here in Vancouver, we’re lucky to be able to see her work in her West 2^nd Avenue studio/​gallery (an appointment is required)! Inspired by a passion for life and uncomplicated living, Sturdy’s work includes materials like casting resin, leather, steel, and brass, and every piece is unique.
