Place is nice, items are quite overpriced but the thing that bugs me is how snobby the associates are. Went in twice, once to get samples and the second to pick up an order and maybe i don’t look rich enough to shop there, but they definitely made me feel like i am not good enough to be there and so i will never go back! thanks guys! your true colours will keep me from spending on overpriced furniture =)

Very nice 3.5 stars, just don’t expect good deals here for their high-end, contemporary design for home/kitchen designs. They’ve got their frames and glasses at the front, so you will see their Copenhagen cognac glasses for $ 100! Just 2 of them… they’re actually called bowls because they don’t have a normal stand/leg but looks like that toy, tip top, so never will tilt over. Corner location across fr West Marine. No amex but Union Pay ok. Friendly service.

The store is really cute indeed and they have a lot of interesting pieces but I just can’t justify paying 300 $ for a jug that is made in China(with no artist’s name attached to it). I would definitely spend that kind of money for something made by a local artist or a bigger item. I work half a block away from their store and I know it’s not the cheapest rent in the Lower Mainland but that kind of markup is unwarranted. My two cents :)

Everything in this store — the light fixtures, the furniture pieces, the quirky décor — suits me to a tee. And it comes with my expensive-taste-price-tag to boot. Not that that should deter you from visiting. The staff is friendly, and not pretentious and the quality of the pieces here appear to be worth it. The collections are bright, modern, eclectic and streamlined, and likely are suitable to many tastes. There are smaller items available that would make really beautiful hostess gifts, like candle holders and some serving aids. If you’ve got some extra cha-ching in your pocket, get spendy here. And you’ll be able to decorate your home with everything from the surreal sphinx-style serving trays to whimsical tiffany blue and walnut wooden sideboards. I could go on, but I’m going to assume that their collections change with the season… see you there this fall!

I work right across from Mint and decided to check it out the other day during a coffee break. Located where the old East India Carpets display room used to be, Mint is a furniture and interior design store that can rival some of the best South Granville and Yaletown have to offer. While the objects and furnishings that Mint offer are on the slick and colourful side, they carry a broad and creative collection that will appeal to a wide variety of personalities and domestic spaces. It is a fun place to wander through, even if you aren’t looking for a polka-dot mirror or a Surrealistic«melting» glass vase. As one of the most recent additions to the newly-established ‘Armoury District’ in Kits, Mint is a welcome addition to this emerging neighbourhood that is growing between Fir and Burrard, bordered by 4th Avenue. There are several business and land owners in this area, including the proprietors of East India Carpets, who are making a huge effort to transform this sleepy section of Vancouver into a hub for interior design and architectural services.
