Back in the second week of March of 2013, I had to vacate my unit by the 26th of the month because my unit was being sold. I needed someone to help me organize and pack my belongings while I looked for a new place. I went on Craiglist to try to find an organizer I used before. I clicked on an ad that I thought belonged to her. It wasn’t her but it was Heather. At first I was disappointed because this was not the person I hired before for professional organizing. When Heather came to my place and did an estimate, I was impressed with her professional presentation. Once the job started, Heather impressed me even more with her systematic and meticulous documentation of my items so she knew where to find a particular item and which box it was in. She is also knowledgeable in Feng Shui and explained layouts that would attract better energy and abundance. She gave me a very good rate for her services. She helped me arrange a mover who charged more reasonable rates, were efficient and careful with moving my things. She helped me unpack and organize things in the new place. What would have been a very stressful time was made much more endurable because of her planning, competence and creativity. I love how she organized my new place! I liked her work so much and had such confidence in her abilities that I hired her to design and make a meditation room for me. She carefully reviewed various colour schemes, layouts and items with me. She asked me what kind of budget I had for it. Of course, I wanted to keep it on the less costly side. She found some great items on Craigslist, things that by themselves were ordinary but when used in combination with something else they looked great! She explained why certain things would work well together. We went over the colour scheme for the room and the wall was repainted a colour that would work well with gray Vancouver weather but still create an upbeat and calm atmosphere. I’ve been so pleased with the result. I have a sanctuary that I can go to in my own home whenever I feel like it! I also showed pictures of my meditation room to friends and family and they thought she did a great job. Heather is great at turning ordinary items into something useful and special, like these inexpensive Canadian Tire stackable cabinets that I used for clothing became storage for books in my meditation room and didn’t detract from what we wanted to achieve with the room! Heather is a gifted interior designer and has wonderful creative vision. As I cannot envision things like she can, she was very patient with me and took the time to explain many things to me. She is a great organizer and on top of that, she is very professional, friendly, upbeat, flexible and easygoing. There were times that I did not like one of the options she gave me so she gave me some suggestions for me to look on my own. We discussed the items I found and whether they would work or not. At first I wasn’t sure about disagreeing with her because some designers may take it as an insult, but not Heather. When it came to delivery of the items for the meditation room, she gave me the option of picking them up myself to save on delivery costs. I highly recommend her services and I plan on continuing our relationship for other rooms in my suite. She also offers personal styling services.
