One word: BAD!
Had haircuts many times but the hairdresser’s technique always not stable, sometimes good sometimes bad it seems depends on his mood, it’ll be your disaster if he’s moody on that day!
Won’t go back again!

I had chosen to try out Mousse salon because of the amazing reviews on Unilocal.I normally get half or full head of highlights along with a cut, which usually means I will be in the salon for a few hours. While my highlights and cut turned out okay, I found the staff to be a bit quiet for my personal taste. I normally enjoy salons where the staff try to get to know you, and will talk to you throughout the time you are there. If you do not like stylists that talk to you, you will probably enjoy this salon. It may have been a one time thing, but still I expected a better experience, and unfortunately won’t be returning.

Please go see the lovely and amazingly talented Bernadette if you get a chance. She is without a doubt the most accommodating, versatile, and attentive stylist I have been to in years. I have a certain head of hair that isn’t common, so most salons would send me home with some butchered version of what I had hoped to get, but Bernadette has nailed it every time. I will be coming back for a long time. I shouldn’t forget to mention that her goose-​bump inducing, warm water head massages will melt you into a puddle of goo goo eyed bliss. As for the salon itself, everybody is friendly and the vibe is warm. I enjoy going there. It’s free of pretentious prima donna stylists that show up to work with dark bags of last nights cocaine frenzy hanging under their eyes ;)

I went to Mousse on a total whim when my old salon became too pricey and I just couldn’t justify $ 300 for a hair cut and partial highlights. I’m happy to say I’ve found a much better stylist at a way more affordable rate at Mousse. My stylist is Bernadette and she completely rocks. I’ve tried a few different cuts and she always seems to get it right.

What the heck??? I tried to call to make an appointment and this woman HUNG UP ON ME. I tried to call back, and they wouldn’t pick up the phone. What is wrong with these people? Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

I’ve been going to Mousse Salon since their inception. Donald is my hair stylist and he is the BEST! He will not recommend a color if he doesn’t think my hair is healthy enough to take the treatment. It’s a shame someone has had a bad experience; perhaps they should reflect on their hair quality when they entered the salon. The hair stylist can only do so much if you go in with damaged hair! If you don’t take the advice of your hair stylist there is really no one to blame but yourself.

All of my favourite hairdressers have moved away in recent years, so the hunt was on for a new one. I found Katie after stopping a girl I saw with awesome wavy hair and asking her who the heck cut it. Not only did the girl recommend Katie, she gave me Katie’s business card.
I finally got to bring this wacky head of hair of mine to Katie and I quickly could see that the other girl’s great hair was no fluke — Katie knows what she is doing. I appreciated that she wasn’t condescending during the consultation despite the fact that I looked like complete crap, and that she gave me lots of options to consider as well as fun styling suggestions during the haircut session. The end result was a big improvement and hopefully the start of much better hair days for me :) I’d highly recommend Katie, and am happy to say she gets how to cut wavy hair — alleluia!

I have been going to William at Mousse since the first day they opened. He is by far the best hairstylist I have ever had. William is great because he takes the time to understand the «look» you are going for and then give his own thoughts about what options are available and what he thinks might look good, and then leaves you with the final say on what you ultimately want done.
He is always friendly and helpful and keeps up to date on the latest hair trends. I would highly recommend

Great service, talented staff, Kits-​style without the pretentiousness!
I have been getting my hair cut by Donald for a few years now. With experience in some of Vancouver’s most well-​known salons, Donald is a master at designing hairstyles best suited to each client’s lifestyle, needs, and public image. Too many times in the past, I’ve been victim to a stylist who has his/​her own opinions on what clients want — sometimes to very dissatisfactory results. I never have to worry about that with Donald.
I love the products Mousse uses in-​house. And I also love the free street parking located directly outside the salon. Donald, the salon’s location, services, and affordable pricing make it easy to go back time and again.

They say that all you need in life is a great accountant and lawyer. They forgot to add that you also need a great hairstylist!
I go to Donald at Mousse and he is an amazing stylist.
A seasoned professional with years of experience, he listens to my needs and how I want to look and then he delivers every single time. Donald is multitalented: he is an expert color technician, he gives me a great cut, and for special occasions, he does amazing styling. I’ve been seeing Donald for about a year and half now and he is consistent in his customer service and services. Highly recommended.

Beautiful salon that I would highly recommend to anyone! I get my hair done by Donald who is also owner of the salon, and I will never go to anyone else!!! I’ve never found a hairdresser that does such amazing blonde highlights. And if you’re a blonde, you know that can be hard to find. He has taken the time to learn what is best for my hair and remembers each time I come in. Along with his color expertise, he always gives me a great haircut as well! I have referred a few of my friends to see Donald and they have all been thrilled! I continue to refer new people I meet to see Donald whenever I get the chance.
Also the salon is located in a great spot with lots of parking!

Great hair dresser I have been going to «William» co. owner of Mousse for 9 years and have followed him to a number of different salons. He always does a great job. Have recommended him to a number of friends. He always has great ideas and I trust him 100% with my hair! Even when I was away at University I found myself flying back to get my hair done w/​William he is just that good!

Mousse is AWESOME. Co-​owner Donald Chu is very skilled — an absolute expert. My hair looks fantastic every time. And he’s charming and fun — can’t beat that. $$ on the higher side, but you get what you pay for. Definite recommendation.

Melissa cuts my hair and has been for over 10 years. She is a total wiz with cutting and colour and because of her I get compliments on my hair daily. If you are looking for an amazing stylist try Melissa and you will not be disappointed. She will also make you feel comfortable and tell you hilariously entertaining stories.

I came in and got a haircut from Donald. Wow was it entertaining! We chatted first on how I would like my hair done, Donald recommended a few styles, went with it and i look absolutely fantastic. He taught me how to style and add product to my hair too, to give that trendy look.
My gf loved my new look. Awesome experience! Salon looked Great!

I got my hair cut done by William and it looked great!
He listened to my «needs» and provided his professional opinion. He made my hair very natural, so that when it grows out i would keep it easily.
I’d definitely recommend the Ionic Straightening for curly hair ladies, it made my headache go away and no need to straighten my hair everyday!
