Before there was Subway, there was Mr.Sub. I will be honest that I was surprised that this place was still around with all the other major sub places. The nostalgic sign was comforting, however, not so much the food. Subs are okay, the customer service is really good. Price range is a little higher but better quality meat than the SW’s.

Oh wow, Mr. Sub. This chain was a huge part of my growing up, until Subway basically pulled the rug out from under them during the 1990s. Parking is available in the strip mall lot. The inside looks pretty plain, pretty dated(hello 1980s, with the«Garfield» font everywhere) and slightly beaten up. The 1 guy working there(he looked seriously bored) jumped to his feet when he saw me walking in. The place is usually quite deserted whenever I drive by, so I’m sure they’re just dying for customers here during off-hours. One thing I really like about this location is that they really let you pile on the toppings. Almost every Subway I go to fakes the motions when I ask for quadruple onions. Not Mr. Sub. I ended up taking half the container. Oh yes. This totally made my day. So why 3 stars? Honestly, the place is pricey, at $ 4.99+ for a 6″ sub. Some might say it’s in line with Subway, but I’d be back more often if they were in the $ 3 – 4 range. There is nothing wrong with the quality, though the bread could use a bit more time in the toaster. Wasn’t as crunchy as I would’ve liked. Subs here are decent for sure. Not sure how often I’d be back, but I will be for sure.

I actually think I liked Mr. Sub better than Subway. I tried it for lunch yesterday, as it is the closest thing to my office other than Bread Garden. I had a small veggie sub on whole wheat and a cup of cream of mushroom soup. It tasted nice and fresh and will be going there again… probably pretty often.
