Nick has upped his game. Bigger portions, great value, decent freshness.
It’s not amazing but for the price and neighborhood convenience, it’s a consistent fix.

Don’t let the prices fool you! If you’re looking for sushi, this is inexpensive AND tasty!

I originally came here because of the name.

I come here every Friday. The waitress there is very friendly, as well as the owner who says hello every time I walk in.
Food is nice and fresh, and prices very reasonable for the area.
Salmon and tuna combo is the best!

Sushi and rice taste good and high quality! Best place, in my opinion, to hang out with favorite ppl and enjoy sushi :) definitely recommend! I rarely go to Japanese restaurant in Vancouver nowadays because of their poor rice skills and poor quality of fish, but Nick sushi is up there in my personal ranking

Nick sushi is traditional Japanese sushi. Real sushi should have a nice filling to rice ratio and sushi rice that’s not overly acidic. Nicks sushi encompasses all of that and also provides friendly service! If you appreciate traditional style sushi then this is the place for you! Will be coming back again and again!

This is my boyfriend and my favourite sushi spot in Vancouver. Their sashimi is always super fresh and reasonably priced and their yam rolls are massive with lots of yam and avocado as opposed to some places who use, in my opinion, too much rice. The service is also wonderful and prompt.

Nicks is a great little place with GOOD QUALITY sushi and they have everything I like.

Medium-​low prices are appealing but the sashimi is served ice-​cold, and the chicken teriyaki tastes microwaved. Overall, place feels a bit exhausted.

Sorry to be a hater guys but umm… I think I’ll pass on this place. First time we’ve ordered here, they delivered but it took 1 hour (gasp) and the food wasn’t worth the wait. Worst of all, they put iceberg lettuce in my dynamite roll. Can you say filler???
Sorry…won’t be a returning customer. ;(

With a name like this, not sure what to make of it lol.
Average sushi, and for its area, to be expected in terms of price yet not overly. Had a roll before that I can’t recall as breathtaking but it’s just ok.
Not date worthy, as it’s not really meant to be gorgeous inside whatsoever lol.
Limited parking on 4^th, even the side streets are for residents only.

Food is great and is not too over priced. They don’t put too much rice on their rolls which I prefer and even better with brown rice option.

The location is convenient and the staff is very friendly. The food was even very quick and looked delicious. Unfortunately it wasn’t as good as it looked. Everything was just a little too greasy. I wouldn’t rule out coming back for another try, I’d just steer clear of the fried items next time.

My hairdresser Bonnie, who has her shop right next door, gets food from them on a regular basis and swears by the place, so after my haircut I thought I’d pop in and give it a try.
It is a very clean, friendly Korean family-​owned restaurant, with 5 — 2 seat tables and a bit of a counter. There is a HUGE menu with photos on the wall to help with your selection process.
Prices seem may be a little high for the city as a whole but are in line for this part of town. I ordered one of their $ 8.95 special rolls, the «Moshi Moshi», for lunch. The spicy tuna and wild salmon tasted very fresh and had a good texture. The roll was nicely wrapped and was the perfect size for my meal. I can guarantee it would not be a sufficient size for my husband or someone with a heartier appetite.
As much as I liked Nick Sushi, I still prefer Hitoe which is located about 3 – 4 blocks west. It is however a decent option for when I am finished right next door.

I love this sushi place. Its a small little venue, but the staff is super friendly. The prices are cheap for west 4^th too. Try some of the designer rolls especially the one with the blueberry syrup on it. Sounds weird, but taste great.

Recommend by a coffee customer, and did a follow up search on Unilocal… thought it’s time I give it a try. I’ve always ordered Chirashi sushi at different sushi house as a bench mark for comparison. At $ 11.95, the Chirashi is a steal. I will definitely return. Sashimi choice is very decent. I got wild salmon instead of cheap farm salmon (keep in mind it’s only a $ 11.95 order). Presentation is very appetizing. Owner is very friendly. A gem in the Kits neighborhood. THUMBS UP!

As I enjoy trying new thing I was extremely disappointed by the quality of food and the obnoxious prices… I paid 16 bucks just to be hungry afterward. I do not recommend this place for people who want to leave full… Warning stay away from 5 dollar BBQ eel roll… NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

The sushi is always fresh and the staff is very friendly! I do work nearby and so I order lunch from them at least 3 times a week but not because I have to. The restaurant is small but that’s what’s nice about it.

Anyway, this local sushi spot offers a large variety of sushi (with pictures!) for a reasonable price and large portions and super friendly wait staff.
