Cool as it gets, delicious and down to earth. The owner is a very nice lady and she makes some gnarly coffee drinks. Get your bike fixed next door.

This place is awesome. I’m a regular here. The staff is great(though in fairness, I’ve only interacted with one of the owners’ wife — who is there on saturdays lately), the food is delicious and affordable, and they have great pastries/drinks/fresh smoothies available too. Whenever I’m feeling especially lazy and am hungry, I often find myself here grabbing one of their great sandwiches. The place is tiny, so don’t come with a whole bunch of people expecting to sit down. There’s 2 small tables(can hold 2 peeps each) and one counter that can hold 3 people. I’ve never had an issue sitting down to eat though.

Best little coffee house, great snacks, great atmosphere! The golden milk is delicious and everything else I’ve had to eat there was tasty(bagel, egg bun, grilled cheese) and priced right. Oh, and amazing smoothies also! Check this place out!

I was pleasantly surprised to find this café while going on an exploratory walk through Chinatown on a sunny day. I didn’t know that I wanted coffee, but it drew me in with it’s quaint store sign and simple interiors. I enjoyed sitting inside with my iced coffee. It comfortable and inviting and fits perfectly in the neighbourhood, which is exactly what I like in a café.

I saw this reviewed on the front page of Unilocal on January 10th and decided to book mark this for future reference. Hours are very limited up until 5 pm, therefore, this ended up being a weekend adventure. The place is very tiny, therefore, it’s a grab and go situation. It is easily missable if you’re not specifically looking for it, therefore, appreciate that there was a sandwich board. I had a breakfast sandwich and London Fog. Both were tasty. The prices were very reasonable. Zines for sale in the back.

There are many coffee joints in the neighborhood and this one is definitely the hardest to spot. But go in and you will find it’s worth a try. Rich quality coffees at prices way better than the trendy hipster coffee joints, and unique art on the walls, and a happy face behind the counter. Another customer couldn’t stop raving about the food especially the cauliflower wrap. Unfortunately it wasn’t offered at the time.

In a sea of gentrified coffee shops, this is the real deal. Great breakfast sandwich and cauliflower wrap, when on special.

This is such a great spot. The café is somewhat inconspicuous on the outside. Inside, it’s cozy, comfortable, with delicious food, quality coffee, and a great selection of magazines to read. I had a café misto. Highly recommended. I also had the BBQ tofu sandwich with daiya cheese subbed in. It was perfect. Warm soft bun, fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked smoked tofu, served with sliced apples. If I lived in Vancouver, I’d probably be making daily appearances.

Best breakfast egg sandwich in Vancouver. Both for price and taste. Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere. Smoothies are also delicious. It’s a true hidden gem.

This is a new, super cute little joint that just opened on Main(between Powell and Cordova). I, for one, welcome it to the neighbourhood! I live a couple blocks away and often find myself walking down this street in need of a coffee, and would always end up at Waves for lack of better options. I’m much happier to be able to support an independent business with quality drinks. I ordered an Americano to go, and it was quite good! Certainly better than the chain stores in the area. They have food as well, but I have not tried it. They serve a selection of cereals, wraps, and some other options. The motif is quite nice. it’s small, simple, with nice wood. The gentleman who served me(who I believe runs the place) was super nice and personable and went along with my stupid jokes. All around, thumbs up! I look forward to trying the food.
