I was looking for a place to get lash extensions. Did lots of research and found this place on Unilocal — it had great reviews so I decided to call that morning and make an appointment for that same day, in hopes that there was an opening. No surprise… they were fully booked, so I asked if they can call me if anyone cancels last minute and I was told that they will if there is an opening but that everyone who was scheduled to come that day had already confirmed.
Just my luck, I get a call back from them late afternoon telling me that someone had canceled an hour before the appointment and was wondering if I was still interested in taking it. I said YES.
I got there and the spa was cute and clean. Then I met MARIA and she is a very nice lady. I asked her how long she had been doing lashes and she explained to me how she started in lash extensions and also the process of how she does it. (SIDE NOTE: She is one of the pioneers of lash extension in Vancouver and has been doing it since 2001.) So hearing that gave me complete confidence to trust her.
Well I am SO HAPPY I got it done from her. She was professional and it was so relaxing that I caught myself falling asleep several times during the process. She did a GREAT job.

Found this lil place while out for a walk in Marpole. I decided to take a chance and schedule a relaxation massage. When I first met Maria, I remember thinking «well…so much for a deep relaxation massage». She’s a small gentle soul who rocks her looks in high heels.
After an hour of bliss, I came out of there surprised. She used enough deep pressure to not only satisfy me (which is tough to do because i like really deep) but leave bruises! I laughed later that night when I discovered them. Serves me right for judging a book by its cover.
Maria is always attentive and asks how I am and listens to what I want (more gentle or whatever). She’s all about customer service and makes me feel welcomed everytime. I’ve been seeing her monthly for over a year now. I’m looking forawrd to many more.
The shop is clean and tidy with two treatment rooms and two pedicure chairs in the back. The treatment rooms are open at the top so you can hear others. During the summer the air conditioner kicks on. When someone is in treatment, the girls whisper and let other incoming patrons know people are in session. I’ve learned to tune most things out so the talking or busy street outside doesn’t bother me. I focus on the music and slip into zen.
I’ve had one facial there and I can’t say if I liked it or not simply because I haven’t been that into facials. I’m looking forward to trying other treatments but my body craves the massage.
Very accommodating, street parking and neighbourhood parking. Takes credit cards.
Overall, I feel safe and welcomed when coming here. I Maria!

Went for eyelash extensions. Maria was so pleasant & patient as she glued one eyelash at a time. Also went for microdermabrasion, but not really my thing.

Reliable, clean and the type of service that makes you feel like you’re at home. I’ve been coming here regularly for brow waxes and more «indulgent» treatments (pedicures, facials, etc) and Claire pretty much saved my eyebrows from total destruction by another wack-​job day spa in my hometown.
They always find time to get me in, even though I have the terrible habit of calling same-​day to get an appointment.
If you’re shy about any type of treatment, they’ll make you feel really comfortable too, which is super nice.

I wish Nuestro was closer to my house. I used to go all the time when I worked nearby, and still make the drive over sometimes.
It’s a cute, nicely decorated spa, owner operated (love Maria).
I have had eyelash extensions (inexpensive and beautiful). Note that they don’t last as long if it is hot and humid.
I have had great manicures and pedicures.
Maria does a great brazilian wax. She breaks the wax stick in half and uses each half only once to avoid possible cross contamination.
No hesitation recommending Nuestro.

I had my eyelashes done in early November, and lasted until the end of January.
The esthetician spent 2 hours on my eyelashes ensuring that every lash was taken care of. The lashes stayed on and unlike other places, I was able to shower and wash my face when I got home. I wear eye makeup and am not the best when it comes to taking care of my lashes, so I was surprised they lasted 3 months. They were the longest lashes I’ve ever had and didn’t even clump. I almost forgot what my lashes looked like before they were done. Service was great and felt so comfortable there the whole time. Definitely will be back :)

I can not say enough nice things about Maria and Claire. Two wonderful ladies, superb treatments and so friendly & nice. I love coming to this spa.
I just had my first set of mink eyelash extensions put in, and they are AMAZING! I love them, I can’t believe how different I look. Maria is very gentle putting them on, and she is very professional. I can’t even feel them, they look so natural, sexy, and ultra glam! She’s been doing lashes since 2001, so, lots of experience over the newbies at places like Noir Lash lounge. She was telling me that some of her clients actually shower with swimming goggles on to prolong their lashes up to 2 – 3 months! I thought that was funny… although now I think I might give that a try ;)

A lady told me to come here for manicures and I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical. The location is a beautiful one in Marpole and the spa is a small little shop. I LOVED IT! I made my first appointment for my grandmother and I treated her to a mani-​pedi. It’s safe to say Grandma Lee loved it and she raved about her nails afterwards. Maria was her consultant/​spa specialist and although Grandma Lee doesn’t speak English very well, she said she had a great time chatting with Maria. And Maria was extremely accommodating with my grandmother as she had a massage appointment an hour immediately after.
I then made another appointment for myself for eyebrow waxing. Another woman by the name of Claire helped me for this one. She was very friendly and very precise. I SWEAR I felt extremely at ease with her. Eye brows are a girl’s important feature, no? And it’s been approximately a week now and I STILL LOVE MY BROWS!
And guess what? I’m making an appointment for a manicure today. :) I’m never one to do so, but these women made me feel like family and I swear I have now found a place to feel almost like home.

Maria and Claire are by far the best aestheticians in Vancouver! I used to be a «coupon“er jumping from one salon to the next. After receiving excellent service and great value at Nuestro, I come to see Maria and Claire almost every month now! I love these girls!!!

I have gone here a few times for waxing and quite like it. The staff are super friendly and the location is clean and tidy. The spa is quite small, so if you’re looking for a fancy-​schmancy kind of place this is not for you.
They have a great after-​wax lotion that has tea tree oil in it (good for me since I tend to break out after waxing!). I do find that some hairs/​spots are often missed, but it’s not usually very much or very noticeable. That being said, I find most spas end up missing some bits here or there. The staff here certainly spend time going over their work, looking for rogue hairs, so I think it has more to do with lighting than anything else.

Used my Indulge Living coupon on brazilian waxing. The ladies here are really nice, but I wouldn’t go back here for brazilian waxing because:
1) They double dip on the wax sticks — they only used one stick the whole time.
2) There are SO MANY hair left after that I went home and wax parts of it myself. It was not dark as they have 4 florescent lights on the ceiling. It’s brighter than broad daylight! She checked it over and tweezed the stray hairs and said it’s all clean.
Was not impressed and will not go back.

Small place. Friendly staff. Looks tidy. Nothing extravant but pretty good service.

Cute little neighbourhood day spa. Owned and operated by a friendly owner and one staff. The place is very small, but it is clean and they have all the equipment needed.
Mani and pedi set is $ 45 and massage ranges from $ 40 for hour an hour. There is also parking on the side streets.

I got my eye lash extension here twice. I was very happy with the result. It didn’t last as long as I liked though.
The place is very small, but it is clean and organized. The lady who did my eyelashes was very sweet and we had good conversations.
The extension cost me about 45 bucks + tax +tip which is cheaper than downtown joints like Noir Lash Lounge. They charge $ 60 for a full set.
