This was the first and last time I will go to this Opa. I ordered an Opa platter(pita, Greek salad, rice, potato, beef souvlaki, and tzatziki) and it was mediocre at best. Portions were smaller than a mall’s food court location offers, the beef was chewy and bland, the potato was a bit hard, and the tzatziki was the worst that I’ve ever had… It tasted like it was made with mayonnaise rather than Greek yogurt, kind of like a ranch sauce. It smelled really good so I was very disappointed, I won’t go again.

It’s okay. The guy that works there(owner maybe?) is super nice. But last night was the second time I’ve specifically gone there to get spanikopita and they’ve been out. I ended up going to Choices Market, buying a spanikopita and heating it up, again. I will go to the Pacific Centre location from now on as I’ve never had an issue there.

I’m not a fast food kind of person but I like Opa. They are always friendly, especially to our kids, fast and I appreciate seeing my food made to order. It’s super convenient to grab and go and enjoy lunch at Emory Barnes across the street.

The last several times I’ve been here, it’s the same two people in the store. I believe they are franchise owners, and I have to say, they are pretty rad. They do their best to remember their customers’ preferences, they’re friendly and welcoming, and they prepare food with a smile. The food is still fast food, but the service is much better than I previously wrote about. Rating increase in effect as of now.

Craving greek food, then don’t come here. I ordered the lamb souvlaki and it was disgusting. The meat looks like its in a form of dog food. The rice is heavily salted, and the Greek salad was about 2 bites. For the price they charge, it’s easier to walk to stephos and get more for your money. Regrets :(

This place is up and down at best, sometimes its good but ive also had very poor tasting food here. I don’t think i would ever go back after my last experience, there are much better greek restaurants in van.

I like their Gyro wraps but there is very little meat in it. It’s thinly sliced and they barely put 3 full slices in. They are so stingy with the protein! Just fill you up on cheap carbs.

This place is far too overpriced for«fast food» style Greek!(in this city you can find amazing inexpensive greek food and get a waitress & a glass of wine!) And the few time we have been its been hit & miss with quality. I’d head accross the street for«fast food» style Mexican first.

From time to time I like to venture over to Opa!, a little greek fast food chain that is to be found at many locations in and around Vancouver. For a fast food restaurant I find the quality of the food really good, they also seem to use pretty fresh ingredients which goes for their vegetables, meats and bread. The Pita bread is very delicious, especially when freshly toasted. I also noticed this particular store to be always clean — the exact opposite to many other establishments in this sector(you know who you are!). The pricing is very reasonable and I was never disappointed with what I received. Recommended! Cheers –S

EDIT(first review below) –this is the new review: Ok, so Feta cheese is now included in the price! Nice work guys! I was wrong about the staff — they are very friendly. It is definitely oilier than I would like, but whatever. I would add another star to my rating, BUT for the problem/issue of the containers/plates that they use(polystyrene?) — It isn’t the 80s any more, there is more economical packaging!(or maybe I am mis-informed?) The wraps are already wrapped in a bag/baking sheet — do they really need a polystyrene container as well? —- First/Old review: Slightly disappointing after visiting the Opa in the Pacific Centre — but at least they only charge 50 cents for feta instead of $ 1 at PC(I find $ 1 for a teaspoon of cheese ridiculous). Staff aren’t as friendly, or quick to serve/prepare food(as PC), and it seems more oily and the chicken isn’t as perfectly cooked and tender. But still satisfies my greek fix.

For quick Greek takeout really quite decent both taste and price-wise,

When I need a hit of garlic, I go to Opa! Nice to have a casual place to grab lunch to go in Yaletown. The staff are so nice, and always remember my usual order… even the omissions of onions and peppers please! I recommend that you have feta with your wrap. A flavour explosion in your mouth! :-)

Hands down, the best Greek food in Yaletown. Well, maybe the only Greek food in Yaletown, but I digress. The nice guy behind the counter always greets me with a smile. Not just that, but the customer service is pleasant for a ‘fast food’ eatery. I’m happy to eat an Opa! wrap at my desk at work. Wonder if my co-workers don’t mind the garlic. It helps when they get take-out from Opa! too.

I really like Opa! The staff here are friendly, and remember who you are. The service is quick(extremely quick if you phone ahead), and the prices are good. Sometimes the sauce on the wraps is just a huge dollop on top, and not throughout the wrap — but, hey, it’s still yummy! The fries, which I try to avoid(it’s tough), are crispy and fantastic!

Sometimes you just need a fast food fix. When the hankering hits I’m off to Opa. This is a small local chain(I’ve only tried this location and the one in YVR), but does a really good job for what it is. I’m a big fan of gyros. Yes, what is fast food without mystery meat!!! At Opa they slice it fresh, grill it to get it nicely warmed up without getting those overcooked portions that are common at many other places. They also freshly grill the pita so it is hot and crispy on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. They pop in some fresh veggies and place a dollop of tzatziki on top. So much more satisfying than the other fast food options out there, and the fresh veggies give me the mental satisfaction of convincing myself the mystery meat is healthy!
