Fantastic coffee and great staff. I come here and while away a few hours with a good book regularly. Quite pricey but a lovely spot on East Hastings.

Turned to Unilocal to find a coffee place to meet a friend. The map based search features are always wonderful and when coupled with the many reviews of friendly Unilocalers who have visited: it makes my decision making so easy. Both of us enjoyed the space and our pour-overs. Everything was the right temperature: great care was taken to brew and serve our coffee hot and the little metal cream jug was frosty cold. ;-) Decent amount of seating and a selection of regular, gluten-free, and vegan treats are available. Early impressions are good; will have to spend more time to know if this going to be a long-lasting and meaningful friendship. I will be back! :)

Good coffee shop, just really annoying to see so many single solitary people at a 4 person table with their lap top drinking a glass of water or one cup of coffee!

It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but it was nice to return. The feel is kinda hipster-vintage. What I especially like about this coffee spot is that they serve and sell Stumptown Coffee. I know it’s not local, but it’s from one of my favorite American foodie cities, Portland. Today, I ordered an Americano, and it didn’t disappoint. It was complimentary since I bought a bag of their ‘Hair Bender’ beans. I recommend this spot if you want to sip on delicious coffee while reading a book, gazing out the window or conversing with mates.

The baristas are so kind! The place is also very cosy and cute. The coffee is also good; the only down side is that there’s only tables for 2 so if you’re with 3 or 4 or even more people you’ll all have to squish together. I do recommend this place if you’re into coffee and cute coffee shops.

Love this place, they make my favorite coffee(iced vanilla latte with almond milk) to perfection. The coffee here is amazing, baked goods and sandwiches delicious and great décor and ambiance. There’s a magical little garden space outback to sip drinks in during the warmer months.

Finally was able to stop by here this morning with the boyfriend, and I was not disappointed. The décor is fantastic, it’s so reminiscent of a train station and they’ve made excellent use of the space. There’s a long wall of booths that would be a great spot to get a bit of work done or catch up with a friend over coffee. They have a magnificent coffee bar with an extensive list of espresso and pour-overs. Seems like it gets busy later in the morning, so get there early if you want to enjoy the atmosphere without the bustle. I had a dirty chai with almond milk and I highly recommend it!

Quite the little coffee shop. I really like this place. I have seen many photos of it and have been trying to find this 1920s pub meets vintage train meets vancouver main st hipster style. I love the feeling when you walk in. The open concept with the wooden tables and chairs/benches gives it a really homely and rustic feeling. The backyard rustic garden as they call it, is really cute and becoming. It is a perfect place for a photoshoot:) I love the counter. It is the best. Watching the guys make concoctions for us and doing it in style, w delicious pastries/cookies and the décor. It is the ceiling that sells it the most– the greenhouse effect window panels as the ceiling using natural light and their little old school Einstein like bulbs finish the touch perfectly. And the drinks? they didn’t have london fog but he still made on w a little heart for me. So sweet! I love this place. Highly recommend it. Will be back again. Great to meet up w friends, go on a first date, study, have an interview, puts you at ease and starts making you creative!

Great place for some premium coffee and snacks! I have been here twice already. I tried the latte and latte macchiato on separate visits. Coffee is definitely the star! The baked goods are tasty as well. However, the baked goods are not covered so I saw a fly crawling over the muffins and cookies during one visit. The pumpkin spice muffin tasted very festive for the fall season. I tried a cranberry turkey sandwich on my last visit and it was decent. Overall, I would order coffee and baked goods(if I do not mind critters) again rather than the sandwiches. Service was fast. The girl working at the cash was great at explaining the types of coffees and making recommendations.

Love! Wow, the coffee was really good! And, the folks here know how to prepare it perfectly. On the last day visiting the area, I wanted something outside of downtown Vancouver and a little off the beaten path. This was the place. They brew Stumptown coffee which drew me there in the 1st place as it’s one of my personal favorites back home in the States. The coffee was strong/bold, which I prefer. Tried one of the Morning Glory muffins which didn’t disappoint. To top off the experience, the owner was so personable. The interior is creative, unique and inviting. I didn’t know there was a «secret» garden in the back, would have loved to check it out — so maybe next time I visit Vancouver. :) If I were a local, I’d be here often. This is the place to come if you love really really good coffee(and great vibes).

Special they serve cold brew in here, in van there is not much place serve cold crew, last time i had a cold crew was at stumptown coffee in NY back in march. Friendly place, just love the way they decorate this place. And they also have a secret garden at the back of their shop.

4.5 This place has very skilled baristas. Just watch them. They know what they’re doing. They get the little things right where a lot of coffee joints in town fail to do. –preheated cups — check –pre-wetted paper filters — check –controlled water temperature — check –sqeeky clean glassware — check Their drinks are carefully crafted using Stumptown beans(one of my favourite roasters). They also have cold brew on a nitrogen tap(only of few places around town).

One of my favourite coffee shop I’ve been to recently. Love the location, unexpected & full of surprises. Staff was friendly Outdoor garden is tremendous(my eyes were full of hearts when I realized they got the back end as their outdoor seats & decorated a garden) would be very nice and chill ac in the summer time. Can’t wait to spend some time here again on my next visit. Their coffee beans are unforgettable, had their latte macchiato. Not sure what they put in it, but I guess the shop + friendly staff + great macchiato = dat full of pleasure & joy! Bravo & please keep up this fantastic shop!

I give 5*s for coffee quality — ONLY choose the siphon! It’s so good, you don’t even need milk or sugar! Plus watching them make it is like high school chemistry class(check out pic I posted)! But I give no stars for the amount of hipster wannabes and crap music. I feel like I’m in Portland circa 2012 here. The music was good once, but the manager/owner(guessing) left, and it turned into somebody’s d-bag brother’s annoying repetitive zero-effort house music all too quickly. It’d be fine if it were softly playing in the background, but it’s hard to talk over the volume. So far, all of the treats and one panini I had were great. No complaints. If you’re dairy-free or a celiac, not a lot of food choices. My first time here, I ordered a chai tea, and it was like the barista dumped the entire container of tea masala in my cup. It was so nasty! Just stick with coffee… seriously. The décor is super cool! I love the light bulbs, the ceiling, and the amazing coffee/glass gadget display behind the counter. I wish it was called«Platform 9 ¾», it brings out my supernerd. Conclusion: I come for the coffee & company(my good friend). Maybe a treat. Not good for first dates, unless you’re stuck in Season 1 of Portlandia. PS, the garden out back is a good place to avoid the 0*s!

Really interesting café! Definitely a good spot for the coffee connoisseur, they have excellent pour over and syphon coffee. It was nice to see Stumptown coffee on the menu after a recent trip to Portland! Not a lot of emphasis on food or treats, no events or performances, etc. This is a café that is serious about coffee and coffee only.

I have bookmarked Platform 7 for a long time, I finally got a chance to check it out on my day off! I really have high expectation of it. Of coz, they didn’t disappoint me. When we walked in, I found the interior quite unique and designed as an old European style train station. I would say the baristas were friendly and definitely know how to make the coffee properly! I totally fell in love with Guatemala, it have full flavour of plum, dark chocolate, orange and etc… just like champagne flavour. The mocha was great too! After the first time there alr1eady thinking to come back next time with my friend. It’s so delicious and no wonders they hit the spot! It’s worth to wait and the cost.

Platform 7 Coffee Vancouver on Hastings serves hand crafted pour over coffee, siphon, Chemex, cold brew and tasting flight. The interior resembles a London train station. Like that, customer rushes in as the bus stops and the place is filled with chatter. Booth seats, cement walls, lit high ceilings. Compared to the minimalist design of other recent décor trends: Matchstick Coffee, Elysian Coffee; the inside of Platform 7 is quite warm. Platform 7 serves tasting flights of imported coffee like Revolver and cold brew coffee like Blue Bottle San Francisco. My favorite thing about Platform 7 is that they use Stumptown Coffee Roaster coffee beans. Platform 7 Coffee Vancouver Menu Pour Over $ 3.25−5.50 Cold Brew $ 4.00 French Press $ 3.25−5.00 Martini Style $ 4.50 Siphon $ 5.00 Shakerato $ 3.50 Iced Coffee $ 3.25−5.00 Tasting Flight $ 9.00 We enjoy Platform 7 for the enjoyment of a pour over service with your choice of coffee beans. My choice is the Stumptown Coffee Indonesian Bies Penantan. Indonesian’s high altitude of 1200 – 1600 meters, tropical climate and rich soil of the Pacific Islands creates the nutty and herbal characteristics of this coffee blend. The tasting notes includes clove, fernet and white pepper, creamy cola and prune sweetened by brown sugar. A coffee at Platform 7 is meant to be enjoyed and not hurried. Sometimes I like to find myself here to create content for the week but often am left without an electrical outlet. So instead, I rather come here to catch up with a friend. Then head next door for 2 for $ 10 tacos at Tacofino Comissionary or across the street for a spicy hot bowl of phở at Mr. Red Café.

GREAT looking spot. 5 stars for interior appearance. Why would you get a to-go coffee, when you can linger in the train station? 2 stars for my coffee. I had an Americano and it was bitter, and lacked any hint of crema. I can make a much better shot of espresso at home.
