I ordered a bed from this location recently. Sales agent was supposed to call me with delivery details etc. When I never heard from her I called the store and asked the sales person to look up my order. He proceeded to tell me I could expect my bed MIDFEBRUARY. I was absolutely shocked. He had the original salesperson who took my order call me back.(ordering the bed was a gong show within itself) Well, she called me. Was rude. Had an attitude. I said I was never contacted by her, and was never told it would take almost THREE months to get a bed. Rather than taking ownership of what happened, she was blaming ME! Said she had told me everything. So I ask her why Im so shocked? When I asked for her name, she gave me a fake name to boot!!! Unprofessional for such a large company.

awful service ever… They were really nice when I purchase the furnitures. But they never updated me about the delivery so I had to keep call them. I first started to call them 4 weeks after I purchase the furnitures. they just keep saying that I need to wait, they weren’t even sure where is my furnitures. They told me they’re going to call me back in an hour after they check but they never called me back. Now they said they didn’t call me back because they wasn’t able to get any information. I think they could have call me to tell that so I didn’t wait for the call all day. And the representative(I think it was Katie) was talking really fast and talking like she was annoyed. That made me more upset. I spend over $ 7000 and the service that I got from them wasn’t worth at all. I will never ever buy anything from this company. Also never recommend to my friends.

Had a great experience with Katie at the Vancouver store after a horrific experience dealing with Restoration Hardware. Would shop here again.

The prices are lower in the states, therefore, I am totally guilty of buying across the US, however, I do come here for local last minute decent gifts. I was invited last minute to a house warming and of course didn’t have time to cross the border(plus no real need to unless I am buying grocery and gas), therefore, picked up some reasonably priced items from here. I have shopped at the pottery barn kids before last year for gifts, therefore, I am familiar with the company. They were having a sale on seasonal items, therefore, grabbed some holiday stuff and some nice candles and plates for my friend.

I have to say that the staff here could be a little friendlier… Just spent $ 500 on things that would have been a third of the amount at let’s say, Ikea. They’re probably all made in the same Chinese factory. Major irritations when I got home and unwrapped my purchases. One item was totally crooked. Akin to something my child would make in their kindergarten class. A serving bowl had blue markings which seem permanent. Why didn’t the sales girl notice this when she was wrapping it up? A table runner at $ 70 was damaged even fresh out of the plastic bag. And a serving set for $ 100 shouldn’t be marked up even before they’re used. All in all, not worth the trouble or the money. Thanks but no thanks.

Beautiful store. Prices are very reasonable. Just in there yesterday and its all about the ocean. Smells great. My friends are registered there for the bridal thing and it makes me want to get married… almost. Maybe just working there would be easier. Its weird but it seems like the prices are actually lower than they were a year ago. Love it!!!

How can one justify the prices for most things at the Pottery Barn? Its absurd! $ 900 for a coffee table! On top of that we waitied 10 miutes to pay while some lady had a conversation with the clerk about a serving spoon she was buying! What has this world come to?

We have a saying in our house. You don’t want your home to look«too Pottery Barn» … meaning that if you go overboard here(or at Restoration Hardware for that matter) your home will have a pleasant but homogenous and generic sort-of feel to it. Feel free to disagree with my point here if you like… We have bought a lot of stuff at PB Kids and although the prices are much lower in the US on the bigger items it’s a nice alternative to driving to Seattle to stock up on kids furniture. BTW — Great staff at PB Kids on Granville street…

I’m a contemporary gal at heart so Pottery Barn generally doesn’t do it for me. I’ve picked up a few décor items over the years — I totally love their seasonal items. Good quality and very tasteful… one of my fave stops for Christmas décor. In terms of quality, my experience has been mixed. I’ve bought toys from Pottery Barn Kids that were exclusives and very well made. Décor items are generally good quality. Linens are OK. Kitchen items are so-so — I’ve had to return a number of items due to chipping, even right after opening a gift box! Customer service is great at this location.

Few things in Pottery Barn are all that original, but they have a lot of classic, quality pieces to set your kitchen table. They have decorative candles coming out the wa-zoo, every shape of glass you can imagine and enough picture frames to uniquely display your entire family album. They’re a gift shop and they know it, so Christmas is their time to shine. Buyers for Pottery Barn have put a lot of thought into quality gifts to suit different budgets and having male/female appeal. They have lots of wine-related stuff, from fancy corkscrews to shiny silver coolers for your New Years champers. It’s a big shop with lots of room to move around and they always have interesting displays. A great idea factory if you’re looking for a new way to set the table for a special occasion. And the gift registry for weddings is pretty popular.

Well, I kinda go back and fourth about Pottery Barn. I remember when I was an international student living in the US and I always enjoyed going to Pottery Barn for their eclectic retro style, but then as time moved on their style became to fussy for me, and a little toooo country… so I stopped going. However on the odd chance I go in there now, I feel their assortment is getting a lot better. Don’t get me wrong a ton of their stuff still makes the modernist go… ewwwwww, but every once in awhile my eyebrow goes up and I think… hmm that may work in my space. One such occasion is a couple of days ago I found myself making a purchase… the most awesome pair of salt and pepper shakers ever… they are ceramic logs, and one of them has a squirrel on it. An excellent addition to place atop my Saarinen table this thanksgiving.
