Don’t purchase anything from this store.
I was despreate for a cigar, didn’t want to drive downtown.
I called RJ Clarke for store hours, some rude creep answered the phone by saying «This better be good»
How can this place even conduct business with a bad attitude like that. They bascally chase of their customers. Last I seen they have little or no business.
TIP: Hire new staff, get some customer service skills loser

Went in after searching Unilocal for nearby Cigar stores, and found this beautiful little store! A fairly large selection to choose from, accompanied by some very good recommendations from the owner. He was super helpful and knowledgeable!
Will definitely be making frequent visits.

I came in looking for a specefic product & once again found this establishment not particulary sincere & helpful. I visited his store when he was in Gastown years ago & had the same experience. Something was just ‘not quite right’ about the particlar products I was purchasing… so hence I never returned, until just recently & found the same thing. Personally I prefer to deal with a merchant who is helpful & accomodating which results in a level of trust. I will not be returning to this store.

Went in here walking from my favorite Kosher deli in Van, Omnitsky, to the HSBC on the corner. Had a hankering for a wee cigar and the first thing that came to mind was the ubiquitous Prime Time, so I asked the guy behind the counter if he had any. Not surprisingly, considering the beautiful décor and first class products in the cases around the store, he didn’t have any Prime Times.
Instead, he asked me what my tastes were and recommended a cigarillo that he has custom rolled for the store. It was cheaper than a Prime Time, and a whole helluva lot better. I haven’t had a Prime Time since — I just can’t go back after tasting that delicious little thing.
RJ Clarke has exactly what I look for in an establishment: great product selection matched with above-​par service. A huge array of Cuban and other cigars and tobacco products alongside everything that goes with them and suits the cigar smoker like offerings from Mont Blanc and Dunhill.
If you’re looking for the real deal, visit this tiny store that’s been around like forever.
