I was looking for a bike rack and they had plenty of options on display. I picked the thule aero 2, took it home and realized it was not a good fit for my bikes. Came back to the shop and they found a platform rack that was better and replaced it with no extra charge in less than an hour. The service was excellent, the team is very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this shop if you are looking for good quality products at a competitive price and excellent service.

Kicking some tires now with golf season coming up, as well as biking which i’ll vow to use my brand new bike fr 2 years ago lol. A bit of a sticker shock but to be expected, the one I want is $ 1100+, with the mounting system and easy click system to add and remove. Like the triple locking system for the bad guys. Lifetime warranty here. Cool that they accept trade-ins. Hitches too, handy for easy access. Gord pretty helpful.

I called the Coquitlam location looking for a rack to fit my factory rails. I was told that Yakima has discontinued production for my rail system because it’s dangerous and only holds 70 lbs. they wanted me to remove this rack so they could drill in to my roof and install their own rail.(This puts curtain airbags at risk) I called Yakima and they said I was given false information they make a system and it’s good for up to 165 lbs with the OEM rails from Chrysler. So — rack attack wants to lie to me and put the safety of my vehicle and family in jeopardy to make a few extra dollars on installation? I’ll NEVER buy anything from you EVER!

RackAttack consistently charges more than MSRP so come prepared knowing the manufacturer list price from their website and be sure to ask RackAttack to price match. Service is questionable depending on who you get to help you but it seems like their product recommendations are based on what they have in stock and ready to install. These guys used to be much better and competitive but it seems like now it’s all about the sale… Too bad.

Needing racks for our Honda Element to help get us outside with our gear we ended up here more than once. Each time, after a short wait in line to speak with a knowledgeable staff member — it’s a very busy shop — we were able to get up to speed on options for the gear we wanted to take with us. They are really good at taking the time to learn what it is you need to carry, then at discussing the alternative solutions they offer. Bought custom fit bars, ski box, bike rack & two sets of kayak racks — first set manual loading, second set hydraulic assist — not cheap but worth the peace of mind at freeway speeds! Installed by appointment as promised. Even took trade-ins as we moved up to better racks.

I recently purchased a hitch from Rack Attack for my Audi. Not knowing much about it, I asked them what the difference was between the official Audi hitch vs. an aftermarket hitch and was told only the price — everything else was the same. After I had the hitch installed, I noticed that it sits 4−5″ below the bottom edge of the bumper. I asked them if all hitches are meant to sit this low and they said they’re all like that. After buying a rack I realized that it was very difficult to get a fold up rack to work well with the hitch since the hitch was positioned so low and forward. I started to do a bit of research on line and found that the official Audi hitch was completely different than the one they recommended. The official hitch actually sits within the bumper, and there is a removable panel in the bumper designed for this purpose. This would position the hitch position both more rearward as well as higher than the aftermarket one. Instead of having a crossbar with receiver welded to it clearly visible under the bumper, the genuine hitch blends into the car easily. On top of that, the genuine hitch installation integrates with the cars computer. The cars electronic stability control(ESP) takes into account when you’re towing something. So in the end, I paid $ 600 including installation for something that I was told was the same as everything else available on the market, the same as the genuine Audi product when if fact they couldn’t be more different. Not impressed. I will probably have to pay someone to remove my hitch now before I can install the real thing.

Terrible service! I arrived 5 mins before the store opened and they let another customer in but wouldn’t let me in. Go to the Coquitlam store where they actually care about their customers.

Bought a Saris 1078 Rack from them some years ago even though it was more expensive than other models because the sales guy said you get a «lifetime warranty» with it which is true. However I brought it in recently with a clearly defective part(worth like $ 4.00) and a guy named Graham McDonald there said they«don’t really sell Saris anymore» as I looked at the brand new Saris racks with price tags in front of us. Then he corrected himself and said«well, we do sell Saris but not as much as Thule». Huh? Then he said unconvincingly that he would take my number and call Saris to see about getting the part. When asked when he might know he said«I have no idea» and then tried to make himself busy. I don’t normally post on these types of sites but I felt compelled after this incident. I will never buy from these jerks again.
