We finally moved out of Robson Place, a dark secret placed in the heart and soul of beautiful West End DT Vancouver. Building is plugged with Bedbugs, old carpet, terrible elevators and«colorful» tenants. There is no pre-screening before taking new tenants; we’ve lived surrounded by professional pod smokers and drunks. There’s people smoking in every single window and having loud fights, dirty elevators and halls. Complaining to management won’t help you; they avoid that kind of confrontation, after complaining several times without any results we realized we had to deal with the problem ourselves. Wilma, the building manager is a very rude woman with no management or people skills, on our move out day she came in aggressive and defensive, then proceed to scratch little corners of the house with a pen looking for«dirt»(which we had professionally clean) just to get a couple of extra dollars out of your pocket. Then when we confronted her she screamed at us, it was a horrible uncomfortable experience. For the record I have lived in 3 different Apartment complexes in the West End and I remain friends with previous building managers till this day. I know it is tempting because of how beautiful the West End is but by all means avoid living if what you really want is decent living.

Rating des Ortes: 1 Vancouver, Canada
Located in Vancouver’s fabulous West End, the building is now run down, suffers from bed bug issues(see Bed Bug Registry) and has some of the poorest, most lack-luster management one could ever imagine. Wilma and William Greenwood, the resident managers, are typically unavailable to help during their posted work hours and issues(leaky faucets, burnt out fans, broken thermostats) can take more than a year to fix. The resident managers are not discerning about the type of clientele they take and as a result the building has been overrun by parties — vomit in the hallways and elevators on a daily basis and random vandalism and destruction on a regular basis. Additionally, without fail, rent increase notices are put through your door. If you have other options, exhaust them. 777 Cardero is certainly not the place for you.
