This is a spot mainly for playing board games or mahjong with friends — I wouldn’t come here just for the bubble tea if that’s what you’re looking for. It is mainly catered towards the Cantonese/Mandarin speaking, so make sure to at least go with a friend who speaks the language! It is an interesting concept where you pay to spend time playing games by the hour or all you can play(worth it if you play over a certain number of hours). Their games consist of a big selection of board games at the front and about 3 mahjong tables in the back. The place is a bit small and it can get noisy when people are shouting over who won what game, but it does make you feel at home and service is friendly.

I ordered a slush here, and when I got it, it was literally not drinkable: instead of a slush, it was just chunks of ice and flavored syrup. If I’d tried to eat it with a spoon I’d probably lose a tooth. It took a long time to get to me, too, so I’m assuming they need a better blender(one that can actually make slush drinks). There is literally a better option directly across the street, and any number of them a few blocks west. You can do better!

Is this actually a bubbletea place? A board games place? I have no idea, because the person at the counter failed to communicate that to us. I don’t even think she wanted our business when I said that we were there for bubbletea(despite the place having the words«bubble tea» in their store name??) because she looked hesitant in letting us sit… So we left! It wasn’t even busy, given that we went in on a Monday at 11pm. How can the server seem to be confused about what services they offer? And not speak any English at all? Ridiculous. Avoid at all costs.

Pricing: The pricing is reasonable as they charge $ 3/hour per person to play board games or $ 12/per person for all you can drink and play. We chose the $ 12/person AYCDP and thought it was fair as we drank our share of bubble tea drinks and played about 3 hours to make it worthwhile.(Note: prepare for a sugar high after multiple drinks) Drinks: Bubble Tea(bbt) selection was decent and overall tasted good enough. My friends complained that some were too sweet however. Also one my honey dew slush drinks didn’t tasted bland so the flavouring was sometimes inconsistent. The pricing of each drink range from $ 4 – 6 and is comparable with other bbt places around town. They charge $ 0.50 for extra add ins such as pearls, coconut jelly, etc. The place didn’t seem to have food for sale though. Board games: The selection of board games here are quite good. They had games like dixit, cha cha chicken, risk, uno, battleship. clue, small world, mad gab, monopoly, puerto rico and various chinese games to name a few. While the variety was solid they could include some of the newer games out there to update themselves. They also have 2 majong tables at the back, a large screen tv for movies and free wi-fi. Service: The service was pretty efficient as orders and drinks came within expected waiting times. Also the waiter was friendly enough. Ambience: With about 6 large tables and comfy couches the arrangement was quite well setup for board games. Overall the place is sort of small but we were able to play right away and it was not crowded.
