0⁄5 stars. They had the ability to accept credit cards but refused to. Defiantly not coming back.

I’ve been to quite a few barber shops in the West Point grey area, and this one is consistently my favorite. The staff there don’t talk much, but they have very strict attention to detail. If you don’t know what you want, they have good suggestions and also have some posters on the wall of cuts they offer. They will cut your hair exactly like how you see in the poster. For students it will come out to 13.50, with ‘starving student’ tip it will end up being $ 15. Not too bad for a nearby barber that will get the job done.

I was greeted by a smiling middle eastern woman who said she would cut my hair very good and quick… After my crappy Experience at Dominion Barbers… Trust me it was horrid I was Leary about even cutting my hair altogether lol! She sat me down and asked me what I wanted and had no problems following direction. I had a really quick and good cut for $ 15 …after tax and tip $ 20. That’s my idea of a inexpensive and good cut! Why can’t all barbers be this good!

This is the second barbershop I have visited in Vancouver. The décor of the store is quite old-fashioned but in a charming and reassuring way. The hairdressers are not chatty but are attentive listeners if the customer is in the mood for a conversation. The haircut is just what I wanted, fast and nicely done. Although this may not say such since I am a young male and am not very demanding when it comes to haircut. The two mains reasons that brought me to the Sasamat Barber’s are its inexpensive cost($ 15 for an adult) and its proximity to UBC. Definitely worth a look at if you are a UBC student, I think you get a discount and it costs only $ 13 – 14(pre-tax).
