Everything we had here (I can’t recall exactly) was AMAZING and WAY cheaper than if we were to get something along the same lines in the states. The wait staff were super friendly and helpful figuring out our plan of attack on Vancouver.

Sidecars food is really amazing and impressed our entire group. The server was super friendly and helpful and the room is very unique. The 1920s décor is very cool and old photos of show girls and gangsters are displayed on digital screens and continually are changing. Menu is priced very affordablely but the quality is amazing. Chicken bites, lamb lollipops, fresh made potato chips were really unique and delicious. Everyone loved there entrees amd some had room for Sidecars signature donuts! They are a must have!

Four stars for the nice waiter :) I also haven’t forgotten the baked Brie and Garlic appetizer. Convenient location for the pre-​Granville scene, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a full fledged romantic date type of restaurant. Food exceeded my expectations actually, I didn’t expect a restaurant here (it is right beside the club Cabana so I thought it was an extension of the club. Enough liqour here and decent looking (male) staff (no bias).

For a night out downtown with the girls this place is poppin! Live DJ in the restaurant. Good vibes. Good food.

Jarred from Cabana hooked us ladies up with dinner & VIP reservations next door at Cabana 25+ lounge. Very smooth getting in. Really felt like Vegas service.
Pretty impressed

We had a wonderful dinner at Sidecar on the weekend. The atmosphere was great, very casual, with good music. Tapas food was awesome especially chicken, meatballs and the squid! Staff were fun & easy going — especially our server Brett and the resident DJ Walter (who kindly invited us to the party room next door but we had other plans later). Beer was good, try a shot or two, but if you’re looking for a wide wine selection, this isn’t the place. Will definitely be back!

This was a great little spot for dinner! The service was top notch, bar tender felt like an old friend and the food was reasonably priced. I enjoyed dinner, the serving was more than generous. The décor was interesting enough to spark conversation without being gaudy. Overall I will definitely be visiting again for a night of drinks and good music!

I honestly think every neighbourhood especially ones with a touch of sadness needs such an alive, funky, great staff and down right most delicious curry I’ve had in a long time. It was a complete surprise to me to see this great restaurant giving out free tastings of their deliciousness yesterday. And people be jealous I just recently got a transfer promotion right next door to this place. Yumm don’t miss out get ur but here and eat.

The dishes are really big I can’t even finish it. The price is reasonable. I got the chicken burger the Fries were over done

This little hole in the wall in the somewhat icky part of downtown Granville street is a real gem!
Great ambiance/​décor, and very friendly, albeit a tad slow service.
The bottles of wine were reasonably priced and the appetizers were really delicious.
This is a great little spot to stop at for drinks and a bite before a big night out — or — just spend your evening here. You won’t be disappointed.

Food and atmosphere top notch. Delicious, and interesting cocktails. Good service, too. One of those places you immediately know you made the right choice, going there. Looking for a cool place for dinner while in Vancouver, you can’t go wrong here. We got several apps, and shared. Get the super delicious sweet and spicy chicken bites and anything else that looks good! We’ll definitely return.

Great spot all around. Cool room, good food, good tunes. Doesn’t hurt that its filled with beautiful people! Definitely a rare find on granville.

Omg!!! Atmosphere… Amazing!!! Staff… Great!!! Food… Absolutely mind blowing!!! First trip to Vancouver B.C. And I love this place! If you want different, but great food, friendly staff, and amazing unique mixed music, then come here. Tuna and Tabouli as an appetizer, the triple chop burger (wild boar, veal, and chuck) as an entrée… So good! I also tried the pierogis, which was to die for as well. My wife got the New York spaghetti and meat balls and it was so delicious, and our best friend got the lamb shank with mushroom risotto… Omg… All their food was so good, we left with full stomachs, left overs, and we’re ready for more. If you come to Vancouver, then please come here. I promise you will not be disappointed and you will be craving more!!!

Pretty chill place to go to for the weekend on the Granville street.
Place is pretty narrow, but large enough. Went here with some friends for drinks and the price wasn’t bad. The cocktail Fleur de Lys is one of my favourites !!

Wow! We went here for the $ 28 Dine Out menu and were very impressed. The service was attentive but not overly so, the atmosphere was fine and the food… The sablefish was incredible. I will be back for this sablefish. Buttery and perfectly prepared, plus tempura portobellos and kale salad with smoked pair dressing? Amazing, and a very generous portion. I really appreciate a great Dine Out experience because I know not all restaurant staff are on board with the Dine Out Experience — a busy night with a lower tip percentage — but Sidecar made us feel like the main event. We also didn’t order alcohol as we were both getting over colds, and we didn’t feel judged or looked down upon for this. In fact, our server made some great suggestions on what cocktails would be good ‘virgins’.

Dropped in here for some drinks during a business trip to Vancouver. I didn’t eat (though after reading the reviews, I wish I had!). Just drinks and more drinks. The bartenders are friendly, the music is at the right level and the doorman (big huge black guy) was simply awesome. Good overall vibe. Afterward — we went next door to the club for more drinks (I can’t remember the name of it) so make sure you check that one out (they’re connected inside) if you’re here on a Friday or Saturday night

Stopped here after wandering Granville Street for a while. Has a cool vibe. We sat at the bar where the staff was rockin-​and-​rollin on a busy night. Very, very cute bartender helped us out. Manager on duty seemed like a DB but he didn’t get in the way a lot. The food was awesome. Meatballs were a bit cool but tasty, spicy shrimp were great, and the lamb lollipops were out of this world. They are trying pretty hard to be a fashionable bar and would do much better to focus on core mixing skills, not being flashy, and tightening up he food a bit. Overall, a pretty cool place to eat and drink.

Been to sidecar numerous time and if you haven’t gone yet, it’s a definite must! They’re tuna and tabouli and the perrogies are amazing!!! Perfect place to go for a nice dinner or even somewhere to have some appetizers and drinks before hitting the clubs. Friendly staff, great experienced bartenders. Definitely need to check this place out !

Sidecar has hands down the best perogies in town. I get them every time I go. The kale salad is a winner too. That’s my usual food combo. When I’m extra hungry I get the spaghetti and meatballs. So good too. Sidecar is a cozy warm room, great for catching up with friends while sipping on the tasty craft cocktails but the foods yummy too. Try it! The staff are hot and not stuck up. Win win. Good place to be.

Ok so I had to update my review as they updated their menu. HOLY AMAZEBALLS! I had the duck confit gnocchi and it was delicious, just thinking about it makes me drool. I wish the skin on my duck had been a bit crispier but it by no means made me like the meal any less. The flavors, the spices oy… My boyfriend had the beef tenderloin and it was soooo good, cooked perfectly and there’s a Stilton cheese mousse that comes on it and I just kept stealing bites of. Kudos the chef! I definitely want to try the carbonara next time!
I would give 5 stars if the service was a bit better, it wasn’t terrible or anything but not great either!
