I’ve visited Skiis & Biikes a few times now to browse and purchase various items. A couple of weeks ago I popped in to find a new bike seat as my saddle was uncomfortable and I was experiencing lower back pain. Tom immediately came over to ask if I needed assistance. After explaining my situation, he suggested a particular seat and had the bike tech install it right then and there. Since then, no problems at all with my back… or butt! Today, we came back to the store to check out their sale on skis and boots. Again, Tom was there to provide us with assistance and his expertise on which skis and boots would suit us best. He took the time to ask us questions about our skill level and our needs/wants out of our skis and boots in order to ensure the best fit for us. Because of the level of service we receive here, we will be coming to Skiis & Biikes from now on to have our skis and bikes tuned-up! Tom was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and a big part of the reason we will continue to shop there.

This is my bike and ski shop. Fantastic customer service! So much better than the jerk off skaters on 4th. Friendly and helpful. It bothers me that they are listed as Ultra-high end. I get great deals here and if it is a couple bucks more its worth it for the no hassle customer service. I would go out of my way to buy from the Kits store. This is the best shop in the neighbourhood.

The people at Skiis and Biikes are very nice and don’t make you feel like you are not very bright if you do not know everything about bikes. This is currently a review of the bike store though, since I have never been there for ski season. Usually though, I find ski season is more laid back than bike season, but, then again, I am more of skier. I came in because I had to stay around and wait for my henna to dry before I could go back to Whistler. The woman there started answering some questions about hardtail bikes for me, then got one of her colleagues when my questions got a little detailed. This second woman was a wealth of knowledge about hardtail bikes and really took a lot of time explaining the different models and, actually why I would be better off with the cheaper one(I am a really short, small person). I really appreciated all her help and would suggest coming in this store if you need information bikes. They carry both Trek and Rocky Mountain models.

I want to like this place. It was recommended to me a couple years ago; went there, and had a nice experience with a nice young guy who got me set up with everything; didn’t have the bindings he suggested; but we got sorted out with something different and I’ve been happy with my purchase. But. Every time I go back, I either get someone who doesn’t seem to know anything about skis — or just attitude. I walked in on boxing week, cash in pocket to buy a pair of skis. They have sale stickers on everything — but there’s no actual sale; they’ve just listed the MSRP as a sale price and put a regular price $ 250 higher on the things. When someone finally helped us; as we were headed to the door, we said that we came to buy some skis — but the prices were just a lot higher than everywhere else. «We only carry high-end stuff.» Actually, you carry the exact same things as everyone else. Maybe my friend was harkening back to the good ol’ days before the takeover that everyone online seems to indicate was the beginning of the spiral downwards for this place. Free parking in the back, and they carry *some* high end products if you wanna look fantastic at Apres.

Has the reputation of one of the better boot fitters in the Metro Vancouver area. I went in on a Boxing Day and was not disappointed. Andrew spent a good hour with me and we went through 3 different boots from different companies before finding the ones that worked for me. I was happy to hear that they have a boot fit guarantee. If you are shopping for new ski gear I would give them a chance.

This is not the cheapest place in town but their excellent service and selection continue to impress me. I recently had to get a new bike because my old one was stolen and they were incredibly helpful with dealing with my insurance claim. Even more recently, I took my skis for a pre-season tune and the tech called me to tell me the base of my skis were shot(after 2 seasons). Rather than trying to evade responsibility, and without me having to complain about it, they took ownership and offered to replace my skis(they have done all the work on my skis over the past 2 years). Their taking ownership just reinforced my opinion of what a great shop this is and while it’s not«cheap», the value proposition is excellent.
