All I have to say is «Albacore Sashimi»!!! Holy Crap this stuff was the best friggin’ albacore sashimi I have ever, ever eaten. Remeber that commercial… it tastes like it’s got butter inside… this is butter. It was soooo fresh and sooooo soft and it melted in my mouth faster than an M & M in my hand. This stuffs the bomb. I also had volcano roll(not sure on the name) and it was great. Spicy, tasty, with lots of different textures. They have a decent sake menu. Decent atmosphere, while I usually sit at the sushi bar I didn’t this time due to being a part of a large party so we sat at the window and checked out all the people on their way to the clubs. I actually enjoyed staring out the window at all the men in their Friday’s best and the ladies in their mini skirts in freezing cold weather. Cool place. TRYTHEALBACORESASHIMI!

This spot is a clean, well kept sushi spot hidden in the low-traffic zone that is north Granville Street. I’ve eaten here just the once, when all of the power went out down town due to a BC Hydro fire or something. This block, however, was still lit. It’s in pretty close proximity to the main BC Hydro building and I got a good scoop on things because a couple of people who had a fair bit of inside knowledge were eating at a nearby table. I tried the dynamite roll(because it’s just so difficult to resist!) and was pleased with its crunch and freshness. Sushi Café stands out for the sparkling seating area, and is yet another option for good cheap sushi.
