Great small little hidden place for awesome sushi. They do a pretty good job in customer service but sometimes, it’s just busy and service can be slow but overall highly recommended.

Although we just order pick up, the customer service was awesome. We had a bit complications with the interaction machine but they were very accommodating. Definitely will return

Average. Sushi rice was quite plain didn’t taste any seasoning that you expect usually get with sushi rice. Portion were okay, price was very good, but I would rather go somewhere else next time.

This place is a hidden gem. My daughters and I started off wanting Vietnamese noodle soup for dinner. But I wanted to pick up a Sub for my son first. So we pulled into the parking lot and one daughter saw this restaraunt and suggested trying Sushiful instead of Phở. I am glad we did! The price is competitive. Ingredients are fresh. Portion /serving size are okay and most importantly it all tastes GREAT!

This place is not a hidden gem. While it does have its charm, the décor can use quite a bit of work. Unfortunately they include way too much rice in the donburi and not enough teriyaki salmon; tiny morsels that look like they were spit up by a bunny. The BC Rolls here are just california rolls with not-crispy-enough smoked salmon skin. If the server(who was sniffling as she possibly had a cold … which I probably caught from her) would come over without being asked or a begrudging look on her face… alas, if the service was better, my rating would have improved thricefold. #Pass

I have been here a couple times about 6 months apart. The reason is I’m hoping it will get better. I was brought the incorrect items. They forgot the miso soup altogether. Look around at the floor, tables, and even the soy containers… the place is filthy. I was given frozen fish on a tuna nigiri and told to «eat it last, it’s frozen». Not a lot of fish used in their rolls. Overall a disappointment.

When we went, we had a waitress who seemed rather disinterested in our presence and even ordered us to another table so she could clean up. Shortly thereafter she just walked out of the restaurant. The two cooks were very apologetic and explained that she was not feeling well. I suspect that she was on her first day at work and quit right then and there. In any case, the food is good quality. The sashimi was fresh and generously portioned. We also ordered the Dragon rolls and tuna tataki. Thoroughly enjoyed the food even though the place is small and more of a take out place than formal dining place. Went recently(half a year after last time) and the quality and quantity has gone down by at least 50%. The rolls were loosely rolled and has shrunk compared to our last time. We spent a similar amount of money as last time and left hungry to find another place to eat! Service us still not that great as the current waiter was disinterested in US and we had to keep after him to get beverages. Don’t plan to go back.

Just an average sushi with good portion of rice and stuffing. The price is low but party tray comes separately which was quite odd. Maybe there was no actual party tray to bring? Also sushi rice wasn’t seasoned at all. I didn’t feel any vinegar and sugar in the rice. The staff here are quite friendly. The restaurant is owned by Korean so they have Korean shaved ice(fruit bingsoo) for the dessert menu. One thing I noticed about this place is they don’t sell tempuras here. They’re still in the process to get permits. Therefore they pretty much sell Sushi, Donburi and no tempura. Not sure if I’ll like this place on my next visit.

This place is not a hidden gem. Very slow service even when there is only 3 out of 7 tables that is being attended. The only reason they get two stars is because they are very nice people working there. Food is acceptable — not the best sushi; my rolls were messy and rice was not sticking to the seaweed. Special rolls are as small regular rolls just lots of sauce added. They dont have tempura, its always showing«tempura permit in progress» for the last 2 months. This place is not a good place when you are rushed or have plans right after. I will not come back to this place unless they improve. Sushi town /sushi california is still way better. Updated: I ordered a party tray and they put all the sushi in boxes instead of a tray and when I asked can I get it in a tray — he said $ 1 extra charge! PARTYTRAY means you get it in a TRAY not boxes. Wow — definitely not coming back eventhough they ended up giving me the tray. And I was the only customer/order there — took them 25 minutes to get it done.

The quality has significantly dropped and both food and service hadn’t been up to par since then. Probably won’t go back unless I hear some improvement.

Fast service, excellent rolls and nigiri with prices you just can’t beat. My first test run order of this tiny sushi place a couple minutes walk from home and work consisted of tuna, salmon and ebi nigiri and an assortment of rolls, negitoro, house, chopped scallop, smoked salmon, and tuna tataki. Nigiri was fresh, generously cut and lovely. The rolls were all exceptional and the standouts to me tonight were the tuna tataki roll with freshly seared tuna draped over the top finished with green onions and the delicate chopped scallop roll, just perfectly balanced and oh so good. The other rolls were great, the negitoro roll was the best I’ve had to date. So a new loyal customer has been born. Thanks Sushiful. I’m more than Sushiful and so are my buddies :) We will be back soon! I’m so glad you are in my neighborhood!

This was a weeknight catch of affordable sushi hidden on Kingsway, Burnaby. It’s an intimate size dining area with probably about 10 seats, take-out seemed common. The staff members seem to be young, and our waiter was a little inexperienced but makes up for it with his attentiveness. Although service was trailing longer than I’d expected the food turned out reasonable, portion-wise, and the taste was well enough. The bento box was packed with chicken teriyaki cutlet over rice and stir-fried bean sprouts, side of california roll, salad and sashimi. I thought the salad was too drenched, but the chicken had a nice grilled flavor. On the side, there was tamago and inari nigiri, pork gyoza and yam tempura roll. Our special roll tonight was the Green Dragon roll. Their business hours are seven days a week open until 10PM. I would recommend this place for those looking for good portions with friendly service for that evening growl.

I came here randomly one night many months ago. I was hungry, and it was cold and late. I thought I would take a chance. Two guys run this place, they are here all the time and they are great. Friendly, helpful, kind and most importantly, can make great sushi. This is where I come for rolls, and they make great ones. Crunch roll is where it’s at for me. This is when I want my white man sushi combo a, when I want to not be adventurous and just eat the simple maki I crave. For that they deliver. I am only not giving 5 stars because they are supposed to get a new licence that will allow deep fried items to be served, when that happens, I know they will do a great job, and I will give them 5 stars.

Sushiful is honestly one of the BEST restaurants in Vancouver. Service, food, prices are all beyond amazing and even after gaining popularity and getting busier, it has kept up! The rolls are the same price/style as sushi town and sushi garden but made with more care. They also have a whole bunch of special rolls that are only 7 – 8 dollars but are presented beautifully and taste amazing. The 2 guys that own the place are also the nicest guys and really care about their customers. As much as i wanna tell you to not go to avoid future lineups, these guys deserve many many visitors but a warning, it is TINY. Maybe 20 people MAX.

Pretty good sushi place! I was looking on Unilocal for a place to grab dinner, and I saw that this place had few, but good ratings. I ordered the spicy salmon sashimi and the rainbow roll. The total came out to about $ 15(I had a half order of the spicy salmon sashimi which you can request at 60% of the cost). The owners are two Japanese guys, which is pretty rare for a Japanese restaurant in Vancouver. It seems that they’re usually owned by Korean or Chinese people. For a small place, the food was pretty good! The spicy sashimi had large chunks in it, unlike many other places that just use the tail ends and tiny pieces. The fish was fresh, and the rainbow roll had 5 different types of seafood on it, which made it look great in addition to tasty. The only issue I had was that the service was rather slow for take-out. Then again, it’s only a two-man show and there were several orders ahead of me. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for dinner!

Maybe it was an off day, or maybe I don’t yet know why this place is great… but a friend I grabbed some lunch take-out from here recently and we were less than impressed. The place itself was busy — they had three out of five tables filled and people coming in and out for take-out as well. The menu had a fair bit of variety, but I always go with fish on the first try of a new place. So I ordered a salmon sashimi($ 9) and a Fuji Mountain Roll($ 8). My friend picked up a Mangodise roll($ 7) and a Fuji Mountain Roll as well. So lemme break it down for you: — Mangodise roll: Shrimp tempura with mango slices on top, and tobiko — Fuji Mountain roll: Cali Roll on the bottom with chopped scallop, tempura bits, and tobiko on top The good: — the Fuji Mountain roll is pretty good. It’s stacked nicely so it looks like a mountain and overall is tasty — the salmon sashimi was good. The fish was fresh, and the portion size was good The bad: — the Mangodise roll looked pretty wimpy in comparison and was a bit of a letdown in terms of flavour — I didn’t have enough wasabi to go around. The Fuiji Mountain roll doesn’t come with any, and the pile that was gien in the sashimi container really over covered half of my fish. — We each got one packet of soy sauce. For our two dishes. It was bizarre. I know some people don’t like soy sauce, but I’m not one of those people. I was shaking the bag to see if I missed anything when I pulled all the items out. It confused me. Overall the place has potential, but I think I’ll give it another month before going back to see if they can work out their kinks. Welcome to the neighbourhood!

Vancouver has no shortage of decent neighbourhood sushi joints, but SUSHIful stands head and shoulders above their nearby competitors based on reasonable prices but high quality ingredients. The tuna in particular is outstanding, and the olive oil tadaki makes for an interesting change from a regular tataki. The beau is particularly fond of their chopped scallop roll. SUSHIful is still waiting on their full kitchen license, so hot items are limited for the time being; the sushi more than makes up for it.
