I was in the area running errands one afternoon and walked by this place so decided to try it for lunch. They have good lunch combos to choose from at discounted prices. If you order a lunch item you can also add a bubble tea at a lower price. I opted for the beef noodle soup and the Taiwanese chicken nuggets with a honey green tea. The food arrived fairly quickly. The beef noodle had good flavor and the meat was very tender. Not the best beef noodle I’ve had but definitely worth a try. The nuggets were good too. Honey green tea had too much ice in it though. Décor is fairly modern and seating was comfortable. Overall, a good experience. Service was quick and friendly. I’d definitely come back if I was in the area again to try some other items.

Action is louder than words. I have been more than 28 times. Hmmmm. Lunch sets are my favorite. Dinner time you have more choices. However, not a big fan of their bubble teas for some reason. Otherwise, excellent value for food and great service.

The server… her attitude… she really has an attitude. I am here the 2nd time and she is still the same. I feel sorry for the owner. Zero customer service.

Fantastic curry! The rest of the menu is pretty fantastic, also but you need to go after their curry to get the full experience.

This is a gem and relatively new addition to Kits dinning experience. We tried out for the very first time: impressed by their good service, modern and comfortable ambient, excellent variety of dishes for both vegetarians or not, love their good selection of drinks/bubble tea and fresh fruit smoothies and desserts. And the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions that you get. We had hotpot dishes on a rainy cold night, with rice and a bubble tea the bill came to under $ 18. Lunch special set is $ 7.99 and with the option of bubble tea for $ 2. We will certainly come here again, real soon.

This review is for their bubble tea only. Their almond milk tea is good, plenty of almond flavour. Their taro milk tea with pearl was disappointing as it was quite grainy. The bubbles are a bit hard in the center but chewy on the outside. They have some good promotions for food and lunch specials that I will probably come back to try and update my review.

Their curry dish is really good, highly recommend. Also the Thai fried rice was really good as well. We’ve been here twice and so far everything we tried is excellent. Great flavour, good portion. This restaurant become my usual place.

Good lunch option. Got the beef noodle, bubble tea. The noodles were a bit small though and soup was too salty. Service was prompt, and typical of Asian restaurants. Nothing special here but also nothing to really complain about. I guess it’s a good option tho, only place in the area for that kinda food though!

bubble milk tea is ok… people are constantly come in for bubble tea. however I guess you can’t change sugar, sweet, ice, and other fill-in than bubbles. I asked for a lot bubbles but they gave me a regular one, and indicated me this is a lot bubble one. I also tried basil beef fried rice. it’s so so. Could Someone say something about the dessert? The waffles look like good on picture. Overall, this is not a traditional Taiwanese restaurant, sadly

We had dinner here last night after finding them on Groupon. Our server was very friendly and made some great suggestions. We had the pork jowl which was AMAZING, the prawn moon cake and the green curry. The flavour profiles were beautifully balanced; they’ve really got a very talented chef. I also tried a mango beer, not expecting much, and it was lovely! We will definitely be coming back!

At the Richmond Night Market(the official one with the cartoony ducks, near the River Rock Casino), Thai One Asian Fusion is booth F19, calling themselves«Thai High», with a small selection of their menu. Moon Prawn Cake($ 6) — They use the restaurant picture, which is sort of misleading. The actual size of the«cake» is about six inches in diameter and maybe a bit more than a quarter inch thick. — Very thin pancakes(like business card paper thin) of some sort sandwiches prawns together. — You get a lot of prawns. Little bit of filler just to paste the prawns together. No cheating here. — Because there’s so much prawn, there’s a nice sweetness to it that I definitely recommend you not use the sweet sauce that comes with it first. — For $ 6, this is just an appetizer portion. — Plain, but tasty. Get this if you really like prawns. Otherwise you might feel«cheated» by its plainness. Crispy Spicy Chicken($ 6) — When it just comes out hot and fresh, the skin is very crispy — sometimes too crispy to pierce with a toothpick! — Generous with the watery, flavourful sauce. — Nice, moist, chicken. Thai One /Thai High serves up really tasty appetizer portions at the Richmond Night Market for a pretty decent price.

Just finished having dinner here tonight with my S.O. and two children. We ordered Chef Hsu spring rolls, red curry chicken(which came with fried shrimp toast points. YUM), an order of chicken skewers, pad thai, and the hand made moon prawn cake. –Spring rolls had ample filling of chicken and prawns. 3 large pieces cut on a bias. Not at all greasy. –Red curry chicken was done well with lots of meat and vegetables inside. Loved the prawn toasts that came with it. –Chicken skewers came 4 per order. Was marinated in turmeric and spices which I believe was either oven baked or done under a salamander. Perfectly cooked. The dipping sauce was really good. –Pad Thai noodles were not the ketchupy/tamarind base that I normally eat at thai restaurants. It was more of a shrimp paste /dried shrimp seasoning than anything. Was very different but in a delicious way. –Hand made moon prawn cake was hands down the most interesting and tasty dish tonight. I believe they used«dried yuba or soy been sheet»(I may be wrong) and filled it with prawn paste and deep fried. Great crunchy texture on the outside with a tender yet chewy filling on the inside. Servers were very friendly and efficient. They would often fill our water glasses just as we emptied them. The décor was very modern and well designed. Ambience was also very nice. Definitely date worthy. If you want to try something a little different than your usual Thai food, this place would be it! We will be back!

Went here for lunch today with my husband. We both had the lunch special which came with a free bubble tea drink. My hubby had the chicken green curry and I had the pork Jowl. The meal came with seafood salad, green salad, shrimp toast on mash potato, and deep-fried squid. The green curry was fabulous with lots of vegetables and nice heat. I had the pork jowl which was very moist and tender. Awesome Décor, nice vibe in the background. Definitely worth coming back to.

I was very pleased with the restaurant’s interior design. Modern but subtle, clean and sharp looking but still cozy. Zen-like music pleasantly plays in the background without disturbing the diners. It seems like almost every detail of this place was well thought of; from the walls, chairs, to their cutlery. Even their napkins were made of out of a different material, like a silky japanese paper. The washroom was very clean with a décor that flows well with the atmosphere of the dining area. One issue though, was the hot water. Apparently there was none. Hopefully that gets fixed. My wife and I came in just after the lunch rush hour was over. We were served mint water, and were given nicely bound menus. We ordered two of their lunch specials, the Pork Jowl and the Chicken in Grains of Paradise, which were around $ 15. First that came out was the pork. It was on a long boat-like plate. On one end was an arrangement of several thin slices of the barbecued pork garnished with spices and citrus zest. Meat was tender and very flavourful. It came with a dipping sauce that was a little sweet, spicy and citrusy. On the opposite end was the green salad and green papaya salad. The green salad had a dressing close to a ginger-sesame vinaigrette. Sweet, salty, tangy, delicious. The papaya shreds were firm and it’s sauce had just enough spice to give that extra kick. In the middle were pieces of deep fried battered boneless chicken, that were crunchy and juicy, and two pieces of shrimp tempura, two pieces bread sticks, that were all stuck on a mound of mashed potato. The shrimp was lightly battered, crunchy, with a firm and moist center. I really enjoyed the peanut blended dipping sauce that it came with. The chicken in grains was nicely battered. Crunchy on the outside and juicy in the inside. You can taste the marinate in every bite. Both lunch specials included the salads, the appys and plenty of steamed rice. We were both very satisfied with out orders but the two platters were more than enough for the two of us to finish. We brought home two to-go boxes of leftovers. Service was courteous. Food came out at a decent time, although there were only a few tables occupied at the time we ordered. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food that they serve. Despite the awful parking situation in Vancouver, we would still love to visit this place again.

I really like Thai food and I found this place when we were picking up ice cream from Rain or Shine. This place is definitely different from your typical Thai restaurant. It looks very nice, the ambience is great and the staff are super friendly. A clean restaurant is always a huge bonus for me. Thai One was super clean. Their bathroom however had really cold water when I was washing my hands and did not warm up. Must have been a plumbing issue. Here’s what we ordered: 1. Basil beef fried rice 2. Coconut red curry with chicken 3. And a tropical paradise drink Everything was perfect. The drink tasted amazing. I cant wait to go back and try their other drinks. You can definitely pickup the Taiwanese style with what they’re trying to do. The beef basil dish was fresh with really good quality meat. Other places put a few pieces of meat and lots of egg. Not Thai One. The coconut chicken dish was also another amazing dish. I have no complaints there. The sauce was perfect with plenty of chicken. Again, other places put lots of sauce and no meat.

The atmosphere here is very nice and relaxed, not too formal but just formal enough. The red and green curries are rich in flavour and are everything you could want in a Thai curry dish. They also come with delicious bread that is deep fried and seasoned with different seafoods. Very satisfied overall. If you are looking for Thai food especially if you are craving curry, we won’t be missing out missing out if you did not eat here. A must try.

AWESOME thai/taiwanese fusion food! Cute play-on-words name too. Stylish look and lots of great options on the menu. I went with a group of 6 and had the prawn moon cake, green curry chicken, papaya salad, citrus beef, pad thai, drunken prawns, «Grains of Paradise» chicken and chicken satay. All was great, but my favourites were the Grains of Paradise(the sauce was SO good) and the green curry. Everything tasted fresh and spicy, just the way I like it, and we were all very full by the time we left. I saw that they do lunch specials, takeaway and happy hour as well. I understand that this is a newer place that opening within the past couple months, and I hope they do really well. I will definitely be back.

Me and my girlfriend came into this place hoping we’d have a great meal. The place is beautifully designed. All the details are amazing. We ordered the Long Beans w/Shrimp Paste and the Pad Thai. BOTH dishes had smalls rocks in them which almost broke my teeth. The manager or owner acknowledged that this has happened before to another customer but only gave us 10% off our bill. Not that I wasn’t willing to pay $ 30 for my meal, but it’s just courtesy if something like this happens to give the meal for free. I can only recommend trying this place if they change their Shrimp Paste which contained the rocks. I’ll go back once I’m promised this is not going to be a problem anymore… Happy eating! ~Mike
