Great spicy beef noodle soup unfortunately the milk tea was less than expected for the price stick to the basic green tea. The food was good but for bubble tea I would seek alternatives. I would definitely go here to eat again.

four of us ordered: three bowls of beef noodle, house style, spicy and clean soup. very authentic taiwan beef noodle. we also had beef pancake, fried dumpling, fried tofu and a 3in1 side dish. exactly what we remembered ten years ago!

Pretty decent soup that doesn’t really stand out among others, but it’s great if you’re in the area.

I remembered beef noodles used to be way cheaper? Now a small bowl of small beef noodles is 8.50 $ wow. We came here on Sunday for lunch, the place is mostly full, sometimes you might need to park elsewhere if it gets busier on weekdays. Quality is good but there’s only 4 pieces of beef in a bowl of noodles and a piece of it was pure tendon which I don’t eat. Service is A-ok. I find it a bit pricey because I probably won’t pay over 8 $ for a bowl of noodles. I know they’ve had renos before but they can probably have nicer floors.

What a pleasant surprise. This place is as good as the best beef noodle places in Los Angeles. I particularly like their tapa-style dishes. Highly recommended!

Spicy beef noodles exceeded expectations. The onion pancake beef wrap was par. The sesame chicken rice was underwhelming in terms of portion size, presentation and overall taste. The broth was good, but everything else including the chicken was bland. I will come again but strictly for beef noodles. Tea was refilled frequently.

RIPOFF!!! AFirst time in Vancouver with family, end of long day sight seeing and just wanted a quick filling noodle soup bcos it was a cold day. Found this place on Unilocal but missed the CASH only part until we got to restaurant. We asked if they accept US dollars, and yes, but NOEXCHANGE rate, 1:1 only! We were shocked at their behavior, talk about a rip off, it’s just WRONG. It’s not about the 25% ex rate but rather the principle of it. These people are opportunists and rip people off … Needless to say we didn’t stay and can’t imagine how the food can possibly b any good if they cook with the same characteristics.

Went to this place the other day for lunch. We ordered soup, pan fried dumplings and the fried chicken and beef rolls. Everything was good but the spicy beef noodle soup was excellent. Loved the broth and the thick pieces of beef. They got our food to us pretty quick which was a bonus. The downside is that this place is CASH only. Update* — I’ve never heard so much slurping in my life.

The worst pork chop on rice I ever had in this town, big mistake to order rice dish at the noodle place.

Rolled in here half an hour before closing. Only white guy in the place — good sign. It’s too bad they don’t have beer, but dang those noodles are good! Both the beef noodle soup and the dan dan noodles were stellar. Perfectly textured noodles, intensely savory sauces, great portions, and low prices. I definitely recommend this place if you find yourself in a noodle moodle.

Came here two days in a row for their spicy beef noodle. Very authentic and they give you as much extra suan chai(pickled veggies) as you want for your noodle. The service was really good, they kept refilling my tea everytime I had drank only a few sips out of my cup. The noodle texture is firm and springy, the broth is delicious and actually spicy, and the beef is flavourful and tender.

This was my go-to place for beef noodles even though it’s not really that good. The location is just convenient for a certain periodic errand. Although fairly quick, the service is laughably atrocious. I swear, their job ad for servers must have said, «You must be a cold-hearted, passive-aggressive b*tch and revel in annoying your customers.» I felt like I had landed in a karmic punishment cycle while I ate there. Anyway, the food is not bad. It’s not great, but not bad. Cheap enough and I feel full after. I think they should probably raise their prices so that they can get paid a bit more and not make the diners feel bad for dining there.

I wanted to have causal and quick dinner on Friday night. I picked Taiwan Beef Noodles house on Granville St for supper. What a mistake! Of coz, I never expect good service in any Chinese restaurants especially casual one! We got seated and tea served right the way, and another waitress came over and tried to take the order for us. We told her few more minutes please and she rolled her eyes on us then walked away! The food was horrible! Super MSG! We had appetizers combo — spicy pig ears, marinated beef stripe and marinated dry tofu! Extremely salty and tasted alike the same! Beef brisket noodles — Tender beef brisket but salty broth. Wonton in chili oil — Wonton was too soft and not spicy at all. Beef wrapped roll — The beef tasted like jerky which so dry and chewy! I definitely go somewhere else when I craving for Taiwanese food.

Authentic and delicious Taiwanese food! We ordered the Xiaolongbao and the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Both were absolutely heartwarming– tasted like the kind that our Taiwanese friends make when we visit their home. In particular, the beef broth was rich and flavorful. I can heartily recommend the thick noodles, which were long and chewy. The interior was clean, and the service was friendly and quick. If Taiwanese food is your thing, look no further!

The server was extremely rude. Feels like they r in a rush to go somewhere. Just throw our food on the table. Doesn’t even say thank you. The rice I order has side of vegetable, and it taste sour and weird. The server told me it was traditional mainland china cold dish. O btw! Our side dish are cold or should I say frozen. I wouldn’t come back again. It’s horrible.

Come here for the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup. obvi! :) But seriously, don’t mess around with the other dishes, as this is the one you want to fill up on. Rich, full-flavored broth that isn’t full of MSG. or at least it doesn’t taste like it lol. The noodles are thick and do a great job soaking up the great flavor! And let’s talk about the beef here. it’s soooo soft it will melt in your mouth. no chewing required :) Delicious! :) Cash Only

Excellent food!!! Must get the beef noodle soup because it’s one of the most authentic ones you can find in north America. The pork ears and steamed dumplings are so good too! Service is horrible. Every time I go there, I throw a b-fit afterwards because the waiters take forever to give me change… Once a girl asked«do you need change?» when I gave her a $ 100 bill. The meal added up to $ 29. Why, yes… Of course you deserve a $ 71 tip! Anyways, they also forgot to put a plate underneath the bamboo dumpling steamers so the soup dripped all over the table. Why I am giving them 4 stars again??! Oh… Right… Food is completely worth it!

A Taiwanese friend brought me here, around 2003. I’ve been coming off and on since. Not frequently, but it’s been one of the regular fall-back places in the area. After a few times, I noticed that the soup didn’t have much flavour, but the really delicious impression of the first time kept lingering, so I would come back every so often to try to prove to myself that the weak taste was just a fluke. After a few times of that, I was happy when I went back yesterday and the soup had deep taste! Maybe a bit too salty, even, but definitely in the Good bracket. Our usual items are: + #A10: Snow Cabbage and Pork, Thick Noodle + #A-something: Pork and miso-type thing(no soup), Thick Noodle + #A-something: Hot and Sour Soup, Thick Noodle The Thick Noodle is flat, and has always been good and chewy. I find the Thin Noodle not chewy enough. The Green Onion Pancakes are a bit too oily for me(though not necessarily just here), so I haven’t tried them lately. They also have some steamed things, potstickers, and pig snout. A few years ago, they had the fluffy shaved ice with fruit and condensed milk. Not sure if they still do. The fillingness per dollar is great. The reason it’s not a 5-star is the service. The servers were paying attention to the mother and daughter at the table next to me(taking order, refilling tea), but wouldn’t bother peeking over at me. I mean, they might as well just make one trip instead of two… I had to flag them down every time. Also, I’m not sure if I’m supposed to pay at my table. I left the cash on the tray for a pretty long time(considering the store was basically empty), then gave up and went up to the cashier to pay. Weird thing: It was really hot yesterday, so I was half-impressed when the tea they gave me was not hot. I wondered why they didn’t make it actually cold, though. However, the tea they refilled after my meal was hot! I guess the first batch was just left out to cool, probably by neglect! CASHONLY, as expected.
