Teknion Furniture Systems

Teknion is a Canadian manufacturer of workspace furniture and solutions. This showroom features most if not all their currently available products for the Canadian market. This showroom is located on the 4^th floor on 1090 Homer st. They share the floor with several other companies but the showroom floor is quite spacious.
As a showroom, many of their products are presented at the highest tier of customizability, but that does not mean the lesser versions are omitted. The staff will help you as best they can to realize your ideal solution to fruition and answer any questions or concerns about your workspace needs. This location is a manufacturer’s showroom, as such, they do not actually sell any product but will refer you to dealers/​retailers that stock their product.
The reason for my visit was to test a particular task chair that was introduced to me some 6 years ago. The chair, Contessa, is Teknion’s «Lamborghini» task chair as described by Jennifer, the sales coordinator helping me that day. The Contessa is comparable to other popular task chairs such as Herman Miller’s Aeron, Steelcase’s Leap, etc and comes in at a steep list price of $ 1500. On display were several other task chairs, sofas, and desk solutions that I was introduced to.
While Teknion’s products are workspace oriented and priced to escape the average consumer’s wallets, their products are of quality design and construction and presented in the utmost professionalism.
