So cool. We dropped by before our movie at Vancity Theatre. $ 4.95 every item on the menu. I was a little concerned. As it turns out they make their profit on the liquor. ie: 12.95 for a long island ice tea. Anyway, I give them big points for good food and cleaver business sense. Really funky music and atmosphere. That area is really becoming eclectic and they are a great addition to the neighborhood. All the best!

The Hastings Warehouse location is my regular Wednesday lunch spot. Why? Wing Wednesday! 33 cents each with purchase of a beverage. I usually get a dozen salt and pepper wings with a side of blue cheese dip. YUM! I wanted to list the flavours but honestly I only get the salt and pepper. I’m a creature of habit The wait staff are always friendly and knowledgable. It’s a seat yourself kind of joint so don’t wait to be seated. The décor is different. It’s mix/matching, all over the place but very interesting. I know of at least one TV which way in the back of the restaurant. The music varies: rap, rock and roll, disco. The music is never too loud so a conversation is possible. It wouldn’t be a first date kind of place. For those who work in the area, this a great lunch spot. Food usually comes out quick and hot. I say you can order, enjoy your meal all within 45 minutes. Oh, the best part is most food items $ 4.95!

They completely messed up our order… Ordered a veggie burger, no cheese, no mayo, to go. Ended up with a veggie burger with both cheese and mayo, and they did not pack it to go. My boyfriend ordered a grapefruit drink which never came. Terrible experience.

I just found this place last week, and I will definitely be coming back! I think it gets super busy for good reason, the value is wicked and the music was awesome. They were playing old-school classics all night, with wicked retro music videos to go with it. Everything is five dollars, so you really can’t mess with that. That being said, you definitely get a few crackheads strolling in, but that just adds to the awesomeness. Not much more to say, but I will definitely be coming back because you really can’t beat this value!

Everything $ 4.95. So there is no way you can go wrong. Everything is so cheap. So ordered the Shirley Temple for $ 2.95 not too bad. There are some places that add so much ice but this place didn’t. Note: I didn’t even tell her to go easy on ice either. Awesome. Also if you order pop and you need a refill it will cost $ 0.75. Refills are not free. Had the yam fries and it was pretty good. I liked it a lot. Its so fresh. I mean you can tell they just fried it. This place can get pretty busy at times. Nice bar setting with lots of TV. The place is not big. So you might end up waiting at times. Not bad.

My friend and I saw this place while walking by one day. The thing that caught our eyes was the $ 4.95. Really??? In Vancouver??? That is unheard of! So yesterday we checked it out. The inside looks like a typical pub. We greeted nicely and we sat anywhere there was a table available. The tabletop we sat at had different coasters under the glass which was fun to look at. The chairs were old Naugahyde chairs. The waitress was very personable and throughout our time there she checked on us. We both ordered the grilled cheese with butternut squash soup. The grill cheese was very good. I’m not a fan of butternut squash but wanted to try it. Not for me. Too sweet and I’m not one for sweet«food». However, my friend enjoyed hers and said it was very good. For $ 4.95, you can’t beat it! Everything on the menu is $ 4.95 unless you have an add-on like bacon.

I wish I had good news but this location is such a disappointment to me. Lackluster staff, food and music. My frittatta was flat and cold. My friend’s bacon and eggs OK. Pretty hard to mess up eggs over easy. I’ll give it another try in 6 months. Get better please.

Pros: good food, free wifi, $ 4.95 menu, 7+ TVs showing the hockey game. Cons: MUSICISWAAAYTOOOOLOUD The food gets a solid 4stars but the music was so loud it made it difficult to enjoy the food. The speakers are up high on the wall … However, when the floor vibrates to the music … That’s a good indication that you might blow an ear drum. Most of the conversation was, «pardon me??» and, «what did you say??» and, «huh???» Based solely on the food we would come back. However … but because of the loud music and lack of service … I doubt we will.

I liked how we were able to choose our own seats and we came before the lunch rush. Everything on the menu is $ 4.95 which is amazing and there’s a decent amount of food with it. I got the beef baguette with au jus and I liked it but the au jus was a bit salty to my liking. Overall, the experience was great

Nosh and Nibble came here after a coffeehouse opening and I had the following: Honey Garlic Wings($ 3) Salt and Pepper Wings($ 2.50) Ginger Ale(~$ 2.25) Right away you can see that not all wings are made equal here; the Honey Garlic Wings cost 50 cents more than the Salt and Pepper Wings. The Honey Garlics came lathered in sauce. None of the wings looked that great on presentation but that’s not a big deal here. The chicken was quite dry on the inside so there was definitely a need for the sweet sauce to have made this work. The Salt and Pepper Wings were my preferred wings of the night. They weren’t as dry as the Honey Garlic and they were also 50 cents cheaper. Each bowl comes with about 10 wings and you just need to order a drink with your meal. Obviously cocktails are what they are aiming for but I’m more of a soda guy when it comes to downing wings by volume. The wings here get killed by places like Big Rock Urban but they’re also about half the price on Wednesdays.

Not the best in terms of the quality of the food, but if you’re looking for a decent meal for $ 5(canadian money) here is the place for you! They have a set menu for all meals priced at $ 5 and unless you are adding anything to set menu or substituting anything your price will remain that way. I ended up getting the thai noodle salad, it took a while for the food to actually come out of the oven so by the time we got our meals it didn’t really matter WHAT we were eating. Regardless — it was good food for a good price and we enjoyed some nice outdoor seating. If you’re staying at Cambie Hostel in Gastown like I was, this place is right next door!

Service is always compromised when you go out to a place with a 4.95 menu. Nonetheless, this is the spot for my colleagues and I to grab a bite without chewing a hole in our wallets! I ordered the beef dip sandwich this time and was slightly disappointed at how cold my baguette was. Then I noticed that there wasn’t really a heated landing for dishes that are parked for the rest of the table’s orders! The dip was also very very salty, occasionally unbearable. It was definitely a wise decision to pair it with a side salad! We also got to try the deep fried apple pie this time and its definitely a very sinful dessert. Be sure to share because its hard to finish if on your own! The apple pie filling of the treat was very processed and overwhelming if u didn’t get enough pie crust with it. Great place to get filled up quickly when you just want a quick bite with your friends!

Pros — decent food for $ 5 Cons — nothing spectacular The Works Burger 4⁄5 — pretty worth it if you’re looking for a mediocre burger. Crunchy Mac and Cheese 2⁄5 — bland and cold. Also wasn’t that crunchy :( Salt and pepper chicken wings — 2⁄5 — only good point about is was that was fully cooked. Décor — 3⁄5 Music — 3⁄5 Service — 4⁄5

If you’re paying less that $ 5 for a meal you should expect mediocre food. I come here every couple of weeks because it is close to my work. The burgers are frozen patties like most of the food there, but then again I don’t expect much from this place. The service however is terrible, we have to wait at least 10 minutes each time to even get a menu and the servers are not friendly at all if you’re under 30 years old. However as I said the food is cheap and it is not terrible so that’s why I go.

Been here a couple of times with coworkers and, sadly, each time I found the service slow and the food mediocre. It’s a good thing the food isn’t too expensive! First time I went I was thinking of ordering chicken wings because I’d been craving some for a while. My coworker advised against it because from his experience they were too small and didn’t have enough meat on them. I figured since my coworker is actually twice my size, he was just exaggerating and that the wings would be enough for a guy my size so I went ahead and ordered them anyway. When my chicken wings came, I knew I should’ve listened to my coworker. The wings were so small and puny(and a bit overcooked) that I was still really hungry afterwards. The second time I went, I ordered 3 tacos. I was so hungry so I ate the first 2, no problem. Then I went to eat the third but decided to put a bit more salsa inside it for more flavour. When I opened up the shell I saw a short, thick, black hair. My coworkers and I all instantly lost our appetites. I hate to think what I didn’t see in the first 2 tacos I quickly ate! The server was nice enough to take care of my bill for that instance, but it still gives me the chills thinking about it today. Long story short, I think I’ll skip The Warehouse next time and go somewhere else.

Sure, it’s a $ 4.95 menu, but you get tapas portions. For example, you get about 10 small wings(plus token«salad» of a short stick of limp carrot and a short stick of limp celery) for that price; or about five prawns on baguettes and smothered with token salad. So actually it is only slightly-cheaper eats because it will take probably two to four orders to add up to an entrée(depending on what you order). This is basically a drinking establishment where food is a snacking afterthought. Of the items we tried(salt and pepper wings; and garlic prawns), taste was okay. We went in at around 9:40PM and the kitchen was so slow I thought they forgot our order. Music videos were played louder than almost any pub or club I’ve ever been to. Don’t sit across the tables from the person you are trying to talk to since you will only smear food on your clothes as you repeatedly lean across to faintly hear what they are yelling at you. I think it is absolutely perfect that this place is just down the block from Wildebeest. Once you run out of money there and are still not full, you can wander down here and eat some more, cheaply on credit.

The entire menu is $ 5. You get what you pay for and its spot on. The beer variety here is fair and well priced. The $ 5 Turkey sandwich spares no expense. Cranberry bread, KD cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a thick slice of Turkey from the deli. The pickle was a nice touch. I like pickles. Its priced in accordance to what they give you. My friends side order soup was probably the only thing off the mark. I’m pretty sure they served her Ragu and called it a tomato soup. This place is worth the $ 5 for the cheap beer, food and the décor. 3 stars is exactly what this place is. And that’s not a bad thing. I’d come here again

I went here with two girlfriends because it was conveniently close to the vapour lounge and we were absolutely starving. After declining drinks and ordering an appetizer and 2 entrees each, our waitress left. And never came back. 20 mins after ordering our food I started trying to make eye contact with the waitress. I noticed that she was very attentive to the tables ordering drinks… and seemed to be completely ignoring our table. I tried to flag her down to ask for an update on the appetizers, however she was too busy checking her phone to see me waiving at her. 45 mins after placing our order, the waitress still hadnt even come by to refill our water glasses. Extremely low blood sugar at this point my friend grabbed the nearest waitress and asked her to take over our table as it seemed our waitress had forgotten us. She looked surprised, but said she would look into our orders. I saw her go up to our waitress and they both looked over at our table. Our food was promptly delivered to our table and our original waitress came by, put her hand on my friends shoulder, and in a syruppy sweet voice appologized for the food taking so long, they were really slammed at the moment. I gave this 2 stars for the pure fact that the food was actually really good and it was cheap. The service on the other hand, was an absolute joke.

* If you’re pinching pennies, this isn’t a bad place to grab a bite. * Burgers will get you the best bang for your fiver. * Appies overall are fun to share with others, but some portions are small. * Poutine is a bit too salty, but nothing a beer can’t fix. * My friends and I usually play drink roulette here; always a good time! * Whoever runs their background music is always on point. * Not for snobs.

3 stars average is deadon for this chill local hangout place. Their draw: every food item on the menu is $ 4.95, but you usually will spend more on drinks here because it’s a pub.(luckily I don’t drink at all). Aside from that, service is intentionally slow because they want you to linger and drink more. so if you come here for that $ 5 burger, don’t expect to get in and out within 15 min..(more like 1.5 hrs). If they are very slow, you might be able to get your food faster though.
