Sad, pathetic place… sat next to an ad for garage flooring! Lots of poker magazines to read. Orange cranberry muffin had a tangerine coloured inside and appeared to be dotted with a red food colouring –no cranberries in sight. Tasted a lot like flavoured Wonderbread. Asked for it warmed up, no plate or anything else offered AND it was still wrapped in the plastic. Fellow running the place was very nice but spent most of his time out the back door or inside on his cell phone. The coffee was fabulous though, but I won’t be back.

* Bitter * — Bitter grumpy service(sorry for daring to come in while you were watching a game on TV) — Bitter sludgy espresso Photo: This place left a bitter taste in my mouth figuratively and literally!

I was so excited to see Brandy at The Roasted Bean today, she’s the cafes amazing owner, whom I swear is telepathic, cause I had been missing her delicious wraps all week when suddenly she comes up to me and says, «Hey, how are you doing?! I’ve got an extra half of this BLTC wrap, would you like to give it a try?» Would I ever! As if Chuck Norris appeared and performed a roundhouse kick to my tastebuds! I am so happy! The BLTC wrap. I like to think of it as the ‘Brandy Loves to Take Care’ of you wrap. I ordered a Mango smoothie for my sister and a Raspberry smoothie for myself and kept sneaking sips from both. So good! Mental Note: I realized this is the only café in the area that seems to make fruit and coffee smoothies. Brandy whipped up this beautiful salad like it was nothing when I asked if she had anything without Wheat as my sister might be Celiac,(which means her body doesn’t digest gluten). Such amazing service! I even got a chance to sample one of her soups– oh dear heavens, it was really good. There’s a big flat screen tv here to chill out and beautiful atmosphere. Great space for friends, I can’t wait to have a boardgame night here!

Love this new addition to the neighbourhood. The breakfast croissant ROCKS, the Barrista/Owner is friendly and open. The prices are good and my son loves the cookies.

Gosh! The soup here KNOCKEDMYSOCKSOFF!!! Absolutely hearty, deeericious, and fresh tasting. The sample of coffee I had was smooth and tasty too. I can’t wait to come try more! The décor: classy– it really stands out in this neighborhood(and I live here)! The Barista is the owner, a sassy lass named Brandy(her hubby’s name is Gus). Super friendly! I can’t wait to come back… Oh! And the panini’s are only $ 5.50… not bad not bad!
