We had the bacon crusted poached eggs and the crab cake poached eggs breakfast. There was much anticipation and excitement for the dishes. The crab cake poached eggs were done almost right, but the bacon crusted poached eggs were not. One of the poached eggs on the crab was done hard boiled and the other two eggs on the bacon dish were both hard boiled. We discussed this the waitress but she«claimed» the eggs on the bacon cannot be soft because it is hard to do on the bacon crusted dish. I told her the last time we had this dish, it was in fact soft poached. She continued denying this and I reiterated my statement. We let it go because the dishes took so long to get to our table. Overall, this place is good but they do lack consistency. If it is a long line up, and you won’t know what quality you will actually get — it’s really not worth the wait. The place is super cute though.

Waited around 10 minutes for a table, another 35 min for the food. We ordered Crispy Bacon Crusted Poached Egg and Crab Cake Benny. Crispiest crunch!!! You bite the potatoes, the potatoes bite back! The food was well worth the wait.

Super cute place! Love the décor and styling. Came here for weekend brunch on a Saturday. Minimal wait. Had the blueberry Merlot tea and duck hash. The tea was presented in a very fancy way, with a special plate for the tea bag. My cup was chipped by the handle but it didn’t impact my ability to drink the tea so I didn’t mind. The duck hash was a pass. The duck was very salty and much of the fat/skin was left on the plate. My friend had the duck Johnny cakes and she said it was delicious. We also had pistachio macarons. These were a pass also. They were very hard and more like ginger snaps. Not sure if it was the time of day or that they are always like this. Cute place. Brunch is decent. Try French made baking if you want good macarons!

Excellent service. Huge portions and fast service. Coffees are 12ounce so if you like it strong ask for a double. Loved the cosy interior.

Yumm! I came here with my college buddies during the afternoon brunch rush and we were all very impressed by the amazing service and food. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict, the hash browns alone were just the right amounts crispy and salty, and the eggs Benedict was even better! Our waitress, though busy and stressed, was very attentive being super helpful about the food choices and checked on us often. All in all, everything was awesome. The only comment i could give is that the tables weren’t 100% clean, but you can’t expect everything to be perfect during busy times! Will definitely come back again, this is my new go-to brunch spot: D

Mediocre food and sub par service. Way better alternatives in the area. Also, the washroom was terrifying. I had a good experience with the food about a year ago, but it appears that something has changed. Good luck!

Thyme To Indulge is fantastic at brunch food. I have been to them multiple times and this past sunday was my most recent visit for my wedding anniversary. I used Thyme To Indulge last year for our wedding brunch meal and they were amazing. From the eggs benny to the pancake bombs to the appies, the food was quality with perfect portions. On this sunday, my wife and I came to Thyme for a sunday morning brunch. She ordered the Eggs Benidect and I orderd the Corned Beef Hash. The reason why I believe Thyme knows what they are doing is that the Hollandiase is light and frothy. Lots of places will make the hollandiase very thick and chunky almost(usually b/c they have done something wrong in prepping it e. g too much vinegar) but Thyme, it’s always perfect. The house made corned beef is light but flavourful, with a definite savouriness. The eggs were perfect with a nice runny yolk that is soaked up by the Kale and hash browns. My wifes eggs benedict is what I believe their perfect dish. From the portion size(not too much) to the quality of the hash browns and the eggs on the light toast, to the paprika hollandiase that is just mouth watering frothy to the star of the dish i feel, the Tomatos provencal. The breadcrumb/parmesan coating on these things make the tomatoes such a delight! Thyme, for their food, is just fantastic. The service is a little convoluted and disorganized, but really, do you go to a restaurant for the service or for the food?

We have a client who has a shop 4 doors down from this place. There were so many times that I wanted to try this place but I had never gotten the chance to. Finally, we got a chance to give this place a try. I got a the jerk chicken sandwich on a brioche bun and thought it was good but not great. It had way too much sauce on it and not enough chicken. I’m giving this place 3 stars for food + 1 star extra for the service. Our waitress gave us a few good laughs and was very friendly.

I live a stone’s throw away and have been waiting for them to open for ages. Dropped in for lunch and coffee today– coffee was great, a nice strong medium roast. I got the Pork Belly sandwich, with half fries and half salad side. The sandwich was okay, great flavors inside but I thought the bun was too much bread and despite being an excellent brioche made on location, left me tasting bun rather than the contents. The side salad was fantastic, with pecans and a zesty orange vinaigrette that was delicious. I also had a chocolate bread and butter pudding and another coffee to wrap it up, enjoying the friendly atmosphere and great weather. Good pastries to wrap it up. I’ll head back for another sandwich for sure to see how the others are.

Went on a Saturday morning and the place was nearly full. We got a spot by the window which was okay(I prefer tables) so if you want, try to get here early. The brunch was tasty, and the portions are great. Their tea bags have cute faux leaves on it and are shaped like tall narrow pyramids. I would go back again and again.

I ordered the pumpkin risotto for lunch today. It sucked that Thyme was out of mussels and fries, the server should’ve lets know before hand! The risotto was extremely rich and full of flavour. In fact, you could only taste the parmesan and the only traces of pumpkin were the itsy bitsy pieces and pumpkin seeds used for garnish. I was expecting something more… pumpkin-y? Nevertheless I was full. The service on the other hand was super slow. It took forever for our food to come out :(

Good if you are in the mood for a slow(with emphasis on SLOW) sunday brunch. We were in the mood for bennys, so we ordered both the crab cake and salmon ones. They plate in dainty little portions. Each little perfectly poached egg rested on a cute little square cut of toast with a nice amount of hollandaise on top(ie: not a soggy goopy mess). Golden yolk explosion goodness that we quickly mopped up with toast and potatoes. The food overall was quite good, and this place would have made the 4 star list… but I felt the need to minus a star for the slow, confused service.

Been meaning to drop by after bookmarking them eons ago. Though their Macarons looked tempting on that display case, their sandwiches looked promising. Jerk chicken with avocado, and a bit of a kick, sealed the deal for a return visit. But the real winner? Those parsley fries simply phenomenal, a bit greasy but what a crunch! Also a frig for meals to take home. Window action seating facing DQ though. Definitely date worthy, the Frenchy décor helps. Not for large groups. Friendly service. Amex good.

Visited for brunch again… The food was scrumptious as usual — but they no longer offer the croissant-donut vanilla cream-filled creation of goodness. So I had to drop a star. Sigh… Bring it back folks, please oh please bring it back :)

3.5 stars I have mixed feelings with this place. The little restaurant itself is super cute on Main street and off 13th avenue. They don’t have many tables here and I’m not sure if they take resos so be prepared to wait if you have a party larger than three. My girlfriends and I decided to meet here for brunch on a Sunday at 11:30am. We put our name in for a table for four and was told the wait would be 30 minutes. That’s not too bad as there is some space to stand near the door — albeit not sure how the table we were standing near felt as it could feel a little close. We never got any updates of how long the wait would be and we were eventually seated one hour later. I know it can be difficult to guestimate how long it would take… but we noticed the table we replaced(closest to the back entrance) had only ordered their food just before we arrived. During the wait time we decided what we would order anyway to share, so we ordered immediately once we were seated. We decided on the pancake bombs, duck hash, and crab cake benny. I ordered a earl grey tea latte and the teabags they use are super cute! The tops have a little wire in them wrapped with thread so it’s super cute to hang it on the side of your cup haha Anyway, food was pretty delicious. I really enjoyed the homefries that came with the benny. They were super crispy and nicely seasoned. I would recommend the crab cake benny if it’s your thing. Instead of the traditional English muffin they use focaccia bread which imo is not better or worse. The duck hash was good — a little too heavy for me so I didn’t have much. Pancake bombs were pretty nice and airy. The powdered sugar, maple syrup and small bit of jam inside the bomb made it light. Would recommend to share as I don’t know if I’d wanna eat the whole plate of it. Service needs to be upped, but food was very good. Service wasn’t terrible, maybe it’s just not their thing.

We originally had resos at Tuc Craft Kitchen for a Sunday brunch but one of my girlfriends suggested this place because the food was lighter and she’s kind of on a health kick. Loved this little café, it feels very french and humble. We were lucky to get in earlier around 11 and even though they were really busy they made a table for us towards the back in the hallway and got us seated right away. Server was very polite and she checked back regularly to see if we were ready to order. Even though they were busy they never conveyed that they wanted us to leave, and we didn’t feel rushed or anything. We ate and chatted for a while before leaving. Love that you can just go to the front to pay your bill instead of having to wait for the server to bring the bill over and then have to break down the bill by separate credit cards. I had The Benedict — poached eggs(I asked for over hard because I don’t like runny eggs) and the foccacia is not dry or stringy it was soft and moistened by the egg topping. The Parmesan potatoes were delicious but a little salty for me. They also sell some specialty teas and macaroons but I was too full to try anything else :) My boyfriend likes trying the different places on Main Street so we’ll be back here together

Great place for brunch! I love the cottage theme they have going on– so cute! They have an awesome brunch/lunch menu, I got their crab cake benny, and it was yummy! They also have a substantial selection of gourmet teas for you to have with your brunch! They even have macarons, and cronuts, which I didn’t get to try, but it looked amazing! They do catering too!

I feel a bit mixed about this place. Overall, the atmosphere of the place was bright, friendly, cozy and cute. Atmosphere: 4.5 stars Service: 4.5 stars Food: 3.5−4 stars Value: Decent, reasonable Went here for brunch this morning. The servers are friendly. As mentioned in a previous review from another Unilocaler, our server also had a little lapse, in which she brought our food over, but left us with no utensils to eat. Easily corrected though, we just waved her over and she apologized and brought some over. As for food, I ordered the vegan tofu hash and my partner ordered the crab cake Benedict. I thought that my partner’s crab cake benny had lots of flavour in it, including the Parmesan dusted potatoes. Yum. My vegan tofu hash was good, but personally, after ordering tofu hashes at other places, I felt like there could have been more flavour. In this dish’s defence though, I understand it’s vegan(I’m not vegan, but I do appreciate vegan and vegetarian dishes), so that’s why no egg, but an egg would have definitely given it some creaminess that would have tasted awesome. Another suggestion for this dish(that wouldn’t compromise the term vegan), I think if they added something with more crunch in it, it would have been more satisfying(like cauliflower). And maybe a sauce on the side(like a spicy sriracha) would have helped it in flavour profile. Overall it was a good dish, and felt healthy. The tea I ordered came nicely presented in a very cute way, however, for $ 2.95 tea, it just tasted ok to me. My partner and I agreed we would likely come back for brunch, though.

Thyme To Indulge started as a boutique gourmet catering company and has within the last year, opened a restaurant on Main Street. Their motto is quality over quantity while trying to use mostly local and seasonal ingredients. The Eggs Benedict was tasty with a tiny hint of dill, but I loved the sides of breakfast potatoes with parmesan more. The yolks were a tiny bit overcooked. The pancakes felt a little stiff and it could have been better. There are however, no booster seats or highchairs so you’ll have to hold your baby. Although, Thyme To Indulge didn’t seem very kid friendly, they tried to be as accommodating as possible, which was appreciated. We stayed for about 45 minutes, total time for seating, ordering, eating and paying.

There are many restaurants on Main Street are open for brunch! Thyme To Indulge is one of the popular restaurant that people are lining up out the door on weekends! It’s so cozy and only 10 tables in the dining room. We put down our name at the counter and waited for 30 mins for our table. They only have 2 waitresses and 1 staff at counter. My friend had Pork Belly BLT — super fatty pork belly with lettuce, tomato, sliced avocado, pickled cucumber. It’s not stood out and we had to take out pork belly and put it aside. Steak & Eggs — Small pieces of steak with sunny side up eggs and kale with a smoky chipotle hollandaise sauce. Steak was a bit rough and cold. Latte was great and milky. We had to go out to the counter to pay and no one check on us at all. We will return for brunch if no wait time on weekend.
