I used to love this place. My last visit, the staff(younger fellow with brown curly hair and glasses) was awfully rude. The woman working with him also dark hair was even worse. It was saturday, June 11,2016. I went every 2 – 3 weeks for 2 yrs, as of now, will not be returning.

This is a great pizza place. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for authentic Italian pizza. There are several different options, ranging from vegetarian, salmon to prosciutto, etc. This was my second time here, and I will continue to come back. The service is friendly & efficient. It’s the type of place you order at the counter from the ready-made pizzas set before you. You can mix slices from different pizzas or just go with one. They have small and large slices. It’s also very reasonably priced. I got 2 fair sized pieces for $ 10. The pizza is fresh and the crust is amazing. It’s truly Italian style, baked in a charcoal oven. It’s tough to find a pizza place in Vancouver that can match it. I had the salmon spinach pizza & the artichoke fennel, which was my favorite. I’ve also had the tomato bocconcini one. Good stuff!

Great pizzas, all the pizzas were really fresh! Our favorite was the Vancouver cold pizza that was very refreshing! The service was great, very friendly staff, which kept checking in to see how the pizzas were. We ordered a bunch(7) 3in pizzas to share among 3 they were kind to cut it in to 3’s so we could share and be able to try more variety. Price is reasonable, for the quality and freshness. Worth trying if you’re in the area!

Except for the price, I would have given it five stars. Excellent pizza but they recently increased the prices on their already overblown priced pizza by what seems to be another 50%. For pizza the size of a large slice — which I can get for $ 2.00 at some places — I paid almost $ 9.00(including tax, but not tip). That’s it for me; last time I’ll go there!

You won’t find pizza like this anywhere else in Vancouver. There’s a lot different about this place, and a lot to like. The pizza is made in a long strip, the slices are rectangular chunks, the crust is very thin and crisp, and the toppings on offer are far from the standards offered up by Pizza Hut or Fresh Slice. Who needs tomato sauce when you have flavourful and spicy sausage? I only wish the prices were better, or that they’d allow you to haggle a little if you wanted to, say, take a couple of their little end pieces. As it is, Trilussa remains a rare treat.

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! Went in just before closing last night and the owner took care of us like we were old friends instead of shooing us out the door as many places will unfortunately do. So nice to have great food and feel welcome and not like a dollar sign. Owner is a fantastic man in my opinion and we will be back again and again and again!

1 star for 1HORRIBLYRUDE staff member and 5 stars for the pizza quality. I am a loyal and frequent Trilussa customer. Almost always, the staff at Trilussa are lovely and polite, exhibiting great customer service, however yesterday when I went to Trilussa, the employee there was EXTREMELY rude and had a horrible attitude problem. I went to Trilussa around 5:45 pm on April 28th where there were two employees. A taller male Asian employee who is kind and polite and a female Caucasian employee with dark hair that was tied back. I ordered a 6 inch meat pizza and 3 inch margarita pizza and told her it was«for here». I began talking to my brother and she raised her voice in an extremely rude manner stating«FORHEREORWHAT» and rolled her eyes. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and at that time, for fear she might spit in my food I didn’t say anything. She then rolled her eyes after not even bringing the pizza to us. She has been rude on multiple occasions so this is my last straw. It seems as if she hates her job and if so, she shouldn’t be working there any longer. I’ve already contacted management to ensure this is dealt with. It’s a shame that such a great place with other great staff and good pizza would allow such behaviour to continue. I had no doubts that employee would spit in my food if I had confronted her.

Came here excited to eat the great pizza and enjoy the beautiful bathroom, as mentioned by previous Unilocal reviews. The verdict? Great pizza. Would definitely come back for the pizza. The bathroom was very mediocre though. Nothing special. Only 2.5 stars. But, i review based on food, not bathrooms, so 5 stars.

Always good. This is not the pizza you are used to. It is not round. It is long rectangular and sold in 3 inch sections. Not necessarily any cheese or sauce but always a lot more flavors. Some of them are even sold cold, like the Caprese with salad fresh tomatoes and bocachinni on top. I’ve never been disappointed in the food here. I am only giving 4 stars because sometimes the service is less than stellar. The water jug is left empty or the tables aren’t bussed. Also on this occasion, they didn’t have some of the regular drinks available.

Really enjoyed a late lunch at this Bistro styled pizzeria. We shared a Vancouver which was a thin crust pizza topped with thinly shaved pieces of smoked salmon lox over a bed of Organic salad. The toppings were right to the edge(which I love). Sauce was standout without overpowering the flavour of the lox. I didn’t realized it was served cold but I added a tasty bowl of tomato basil soup to balance my taste buds and my need for some warmth. Italian San Pellegrino soda to finish. Service was fast and efficient for a Easter Saturday long weekend. Can’t wait to come back for lunch and taste other menu items.

Yummy pizza, with a variety flavors, in whatever size slices you want! It’s a pretty casual, order-at-the-counter place with seating for maybe 20 people, max. We tried the smoked salmon as well as the bleu cheese with pear. Both were fantastic. They’re made on thin crust dough, but were well cooked. The slices of smoked salmon are thin and cold, placed delicately atop fresh mixed greens on the cooked pizza. I found the pear bits on the blue cheese one very sweet and pretty chunky. They had maybe 6 or 7 other flavors offered, together with a strawberry and nutella dessert option. The service was very friendly. The crowd was light on a Thursday evening, though I did witness 2 or 3 other customers come through for to-go orders. I’d definitely recommend trying this place.

Considering the great reviews I’ve seen for this place, I have to say that I was underwhelmed by what we got. I suppose that if you enjoy the thin, crispy, hard flat bread crusts, then you might enjoy their pizza. Even then, their toppings were not particularly creative nor tasty.(We had the sausage, as well as prosciutto.) Their pizza was by no means bad, but I’ve had more affordable and delicious pizza elsewhere. The staff were great though!

It was –2°C outside so we decided to seek refuge in this pizza shop. We tried two pizzas: the Vancouver(smoked salmon with organic salad served cold) and a Gorgonzola and Pear pizza served hot. Both were amazing in appearance and taste. I will definitely come again to sample the other pizzas at some point. In terms of price, it is a bit shocking to pay $ 8 for a 5 inch long pizza when $ 2 pizza shops are abundant all over Vancouver. But, Trilussa is definitely about quality over quantity.

It’s nice to walk into a pizzeria and hear Italian being spoken. And heck, the«Ciao bella!» when you leave certainly adds to the ambiance. But at the end of the day, what makes this place special is the fresh, fresh, fresh pizza. In no particular order… 1. Spicy tomato, garlic. chili flake… happiness. 2.(Caprese) the one topped with the tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and arugula? Lunch heaven. 3.(Milano) Proscuitto… or the Sopressata, doesn’t matter. Just noms. 4.(Trevi) Spicy Pesto… again, omnomnom 5. The one with the happy little sausage balls. Drool. Garbatella, me thinks? I wonder if they make the sausage in house because the texture is sublime 6.(Vancouver) Smoked salmon on arugula… it’s like Rome and Vancouver came together, in pizza form. Super yum but outshone by some other goodies in my book 7. Rosemary Bread(which I’ve always known as Bianca) Simple happiness 8.(Attilio) Mushrooms and mozza… for me, needed something 9. Trastevere — Pancetta. Pecorino. Perfection And they have daily specials that are available on a day to day basis. I’ve clearly been there enough to form this enthusiastic YAY! I AM A FAN! Why no as good as it gets? No fresh basil. Why are we using dried on the margherita? Fresh basil abounds… let’s use it… please?

Chewy was craving some pizza and found this little joint hidden on Main Street. It blends in well with the neighbourhood and can easily be missed. The décor is simple and food is ordered at the counter and delivered to your table. Chewy called it a no-fuss pizza café. We ordered a large(7″) Trastevere and regular(5″) Vancouver pizza roma and a Paris panini on a whole wheat bun. The Trastevere just came out of the oven when we arrived, the Vancouver was made fresh, even though they had slices on the counter– great service! The Trastevere was amazing. The dough was thin, crispy and there was a thick layer of premium cheese with fresh tasting pancetta. The Vancouver was OK. It was served cold and simply tasted like lox and greens on a thin piece of chewy dough. It’s didn’t have the crisp the Trastevere had. The filling in the Paris panini was delicious– very flavorful and fresh. However, the whole wheat bun was quite hard and dry. I’d come back just for the Trastevere and to try other hot pizzas but stay away from the panini and Vancouver pizza roma. A regular size pizza roma would satisfy but we’d pay the extra $ 2 to get the large size– it’s worth it.

We come here so much. I don’t know why its taken me so long to write a review! This place is great for lunch, dinner, a quick snack, breakfast, brunch, take out, leftovers, …in other words anytime! I’m a pretty picky pizza person and will not eat any old leftover pizza… but let’s just say no pizza from this establishment ever makes it to that point in our house. My go-to pizzas are the caprese and vancouver. — Caprese: tomato, bocconcini and organic salad. This pizza shows up looking like you ordered a salad by accident, but trust me… its no accident(even my very carnivorous hubby loves it). — Vancouver: salmon and organic salad. This pizza is exactly as advertized. Slices of cold smoked salmon on a bed of greens… and it works. However, if you do get this, I’d try asking the friendly staff if they can make you a fresh one. I love having it when the salmon is still a bit chilled, not room temp in the serving area. just a personal preference :) With my rating, I was genuinely torn… Its a solid 5* place when the owner is around, but I’d have to take off a star today(though truly I’d only take off half a * if Unilocal allowed) for service as the staff seemed hesitant to make us a fresh caprese pizza when we requested(there was only one piece left, and it was only 8:20ish…they close at 9pm). Perhaps this might be a staff store policy, but its never the case when the owner ia around. This is no ordinary pizza by the slice place, no triangular goopy messes here, only Roman pizza. What is a Roman pizza? I guess you’ll have to try it :)

Came here at least a year ago and wasn’t impressed. Well the other day I decided to try it again and I’ve been back four times in 2 weeks. The price point may be a little high but the pizza is worth it. Its really good right when you get it but does get a little chewy if you let it get cold. This is the perfect place if you want to grab a quick bite and also want something thats quality. A couple of the staff are a little grumpy and another barely speaks above a whisper.

If I wanted such mediocre pizza I would have gone to megabite — or fresh slice — or any other of the generic fast food joints all over NA. Walking in after a long commute in pouring rain, we were overwhelmed by the number of families with their small children. Colouring book scattered on the floor and the noise that comes with small children. If this doesn’t sound like a good time to you then beware. I wouldn’t mind the noise and chaos at all if the pizza was truly as good as the reviews claim. The pizza here has been raved about. Some reviews have even claimed this was better than the pizza they had in Rome. 106 reviews and 4.5 stars sounded quite promising. We ordered the Margherita and Milano pizza, a lentil soup and salad. And a cappuccino. The cappuccino was mediocre. The lentil soup was served to us as what looked like some canned brown slop. I’m not saying it was canned but it looked like it. If it wasn’t canned then the beans must have been over cooked because they were mushy. It was entirely flavourless unless a powdery and overwhelming undertone of cayenne pepper counts for flavour. The salad consisted of mixed lettuce(the kind you can buy at a grocery store in a box), thickly sliced tomatoes(2 slices to be precise) and store bought Italian dressing. The pizza. It was primarily dough. Barely any sauce. What little of the sauce I could taste was entirely flavourless. There was one piece of prosciutto on the entire thing. The cheese tasted stale(probably because all the pizzas were sitting on the counter waiting to be reheated). The strongest aftertaste I left with was slightly burnt, reheated dough. The customer service was terrible. They were negligent but I don’t blame them as they seemed really overwhelmed. $ 30 later — This place goes down in my list of TOP5 Most Overrated Food Joints in BC. It also goes on my list of TOP3 Worst Food Experience ever. Better than Rome, indeed. Just the thought of that makes me want to give up on life.

Some of the best Roma Style pizza in Vancouver. Few tables. Nice display of the pizza fresh made dough everyday. Alex says the«Best in Van» I’m never disappointed. Cappuccino is ok. But the pizza is amazing. The variety and combinations never end. From Magarita to west coast smoked salmon to potato with peso. Just be sure to get one that comes straight from the oven if its not a cold pizza. Free wifi –wheelchair accessible
