Amazing shop. Love the atmosphere there. The people that were there were so welcoming. For a $ 16 cut it was just absolutely amazing. The guy hat cut me, Andrew was very professional about everything. He gave me exactly what I asked for. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to a friend. Thanks guys. Cheers

Great haircut at a fair price!
I have finally found this combination at last. I am tired of spending $ 40+ on a cut at different places in Vancouver, especially considering the results aren’t always stellar.
This place was just what I was looking for. Friendly barbers, comfortable, simple atmosphere — direct and to the point. At $ 16 for a men’s cut, I was very pleased.
Highly recommended!

I’ve been going to UpTwown for a year now and it’s the best. The guys are super friendly, they play awesome music and the price for a hair cut is what it should be. They all take great direction as to exactly what I want. I’m quite fussy about my hair and I’ve never had a bad cut at UpTown. I find a lot of places try too hard, cost too much, more often than not are unfriendly and don’t listen to what you are actually asking for. I recommend these guys to everyone.

I was on the West Coast for business and my Toronto barber recommended this place because a fellow Ottawa transplant recommended him. Glad I did. I had lunch at a burrito place across the street (see my other reviews) and stopped in here with a client to get lined up.
This place is very much a «barber shop» in that you come in, you sit down, you wait your turn, get your cut and you gtfo. I like that. There was no nonsense involved. Andrew was my barber and he asked me a few crucial questions and got right to work. The fade was on point, there was enough left on top to comb around and it didn’t look like a bowl cut. I appreciate a quick cut and an old school barber experience. Kudos to Andrew and the Uptown for taking care of me. I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone else heading to the west coast.

I think it’s impossible to get a decent haircut here. I’ve stopped in a few times over the years because it’s close to home and every time I’ve been disappointed with the result. I won’t be going back after this butcher job (photo attached). The fade was terrible as there was a noticeable line going around my head and the cut was totally uneven. The barber, Marco, didn’t take nearly enough time and didn’t pay nearly enough attention to detail. He’s a nice guy and I feel bad giving such a shitty review but dude has to step his game up. I had to get the cut fixed today, the barber spent more time fixing it than Marco did cutting it to begin with, which speaks volumes. I will never go back and would recommend avoiding this place until they get their shit together.

Got a great cut from the youngest barber there, Zoylo. He got my hair exactly as I pictured and asked for, in good time too. This barbershop is excellent for what you are paying, and the barbers are game to try more complicated requests, as well as your quick and easy trims/​buzz. I’ve been there several times, Marco is also solid.
