We two tourists visited the library. Good location, within 5 minute walking distance of a SkyTrain station.
As tourists we were allowed to use the Wi-​Fi for internet access, as well as computer stations. One just needs to check in at the front desk to obtain access.
Beautiful building, with an attractive interior food court in the same building as the library.
Large selection of foreign language books. Plenty of computer stations. Though most were being used, we were able to find open computers with no wait.
Bathroom was clean.

Wow Vancouver Public Library you are HUUUUGGGGEEEE! and well the staff are super friendly… I was trying to track down this one book for a trip to Japan and it wasn’t where it should be (in the travel section). A nice staff member helped me search up and down all over the place, going through the return stacks for a good 20 minutes. When she couldn’t find it, she helped me find a few other books that seemed to have solid reviews for my trip! Great help!
