So happy I gave waffle gone wild a try! It’s a cozy little place, with just a few tables. If you live in the area or go to UBC this is a great treat to pick up on your way. The kitchen is right in the front of the shop, and everything is made fresh and right to order. The waffles themselves are quite delicious. Slightly sweet, crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, but the savoury toppings are what really make this place special. The okonomiyaki was amazing. It tastes like the Japanese squid balls you get at the night market but with a sweet, slightly crispy base. It was served with apples, cucumber and potato salad. I can’t wait to come back and try the other savoury waffles! I also had the strawberry and dark chocolate sweet waffle. This was good but I think the savoury waffles are the real winners here!

Think of something to treat yourself? Check out this little café. My mood swings quickly after eating their waffle. The waffle was not too sweet and seemed light by calories. The chocolate volcano with berries was good. It was decorated nicely on presentation.

Cute little place in a busy block of Kitsilano. It is a little haven to stop by for a nice little snack after an afternoon of walking around the area. The service is incredible. The food not only looks good, but the selection makes you want to order everything on the menu. The price is at about the same level as the other waffle shops but you don’t get the usual flavors. Will definitely come back when I get cravings!

Wonderful little shop! The service is amazing and the waffles are delicious. We had the strawberry heaven deluxe and it was all levels of awesome. We thought it was a chain but it’s not. I highly recommend this place! They even have Tea forté!

Cute little place on a cute street in Kitsilano. Went here with a couple friends to get some dessert after having lunch. These waffles are more on the average side based on size and the toppings are quite space usually depending on what you order. I ordered the strawberry Nutella and I found myself eating most of the waffle plain bc there wasn’t enough. Also, it is a little troublesome that they drizzle the chocolate sauce on the plate under the waffle. Not nearly enough for the waffle and, again, you find yourself needing more of it. However, I do believe that they have other more expensive more extravagant waffles that seem to have more toppings so I’ll be sure to come back and try those out. Nevertheless, this is a super cute place to have good waffles with a variety of very good toppings(they even have savoury!) at decent prices. They also have great staff and a great and friendly atmosphere.

Very tasty! I had the strawberry deluxe, the most expensive waffles on their menu. Lots of strawberries and whip cream, but I was still hungry after eating it. Portions a little too small for the price.

This is a great place to stop for dessert. This cozy tiny shop serves mainly Belgium waffles, tea and smoothies. Seating is very limited fitting about 12 people at most inside. There are two small tables outside. Very sweet and friendly staff. My husband ordered the banana with nutella waffle and I ordered the chocolate volcano waffle. Our desserts took a little long but there were only two workers and they were freshly making each waffle. It was worth the wait because my dish was delicious. My waffle was soft, warm with a slight crunch. The presentation was also amazing! Almost too pretty to eat! The waffle, vanilla ice cream, the house made mocha whipped cream, strawberries and the chocolate toppings balance very well. The whipped cream was very light, fluffy and not overly sweet. This is definitely worth the stop!

The waffles are good but quite small. One order is sufficient for one but not for sharing. Overall, the waffles is fluffy, toppings are not too sweet. Personally, I prefer waffles with a bit of a crunch factor but the one I ordered did not have such factor.

I’ve been here since day 1. Waffle Gone Wild is a homestyle café. Waffles are consistently delicious and huge compared to other cafes. I noticed the price has increased over the past few years, but it’s not a big deal. I’m just visiting less often. Recently, there is usually just 1 worker in the shop, so be aware that your order will come slowly. It gets very crowded during weekend mornings. I have made many memories here over the years and always come by every season. They have the best chai latte by far, which perfectly pairs with their Belgian liege waffle.

Overpriced for waffles and bananas and strawberries. Customer service was decent with no complaints. There’s just somrthing about the place that could be improved, but it seems like it is not being done. A business should always strive for improvement and to attract more customers. This place needs that uniqueness to it, otherwise it is the same as any other waffle shop. Also, the customer service can be improved in tiny ways. For example, a jar of free mints or samples of different dishes. I wish the best for this company, but it is hard to come back to when $ 8.75 was a costly first time eating food.

We went to waffles gone wild on Canada day! One of the few places open. I ordered the eggs Benny waffle. Pretty tasty! The egg was cooked perfectly, it came with a side of greens. Definitely enjoyed it. The waffle was a Belgian style so sweet rather than savoury but I was pleasantly surprised because it wasn’t too sweet.

Waffle Gone Wild is a small café on West Broadway at Kits area. It serves freshly made Belgium waffles of two varieties, either sweet or savory, as well as an array of drinks(Smoothies/Coffee/bubble teas) We went there for afternoon snack after haircut. When you first walk in the door, you are greeted by the friendly staff and the owners. The atmosphere is pretty relax and comfy. All of their waffles are fresh and handmade every day! Banana split — The portion was huge and cute presentation. Chocolate Volcano — the waffle bit soft and mediocre. Mango and coconut smoothies — A bit too sweet(artificial flavour) may be… Matcha Latte — Commercial green tea powder latte. It’s a bit better than instant green tea coffee. My hubby asked me kind of confused to have waffles as afternoon snack instead of breakfast. I told him that never mind and we can have waffles as dessert!

It’s the best waffle place in Vancouver. I’ve never reviewed anything on Unilocal and here I am! They have smoothie, bubble tea, super good waffle, tea… All my favs! Came here with my boyfriend. I had a Japanese Okonomiyaki and he had a Fruit Heaven. We both loved it! Must come!

My husband and I ended up in this place just because it was the only place available in Kits for having a quick meal Saturday 9pm and we absolutely loved it! I planned to order a regular sweet waffle with maybe chocolate and banana, but when the adorable staff gave us the menu… WOW! So many different options! I tried«Waffle okonomiyaki» and«Apple & cheese» and both didn’t disappoint me. Of course the Okonomiyaki has more unique flavor but the waffle with cheese, apple and salad was very tasty too. Location is also great, but it may be a bit hard to park the car depending on the hour. I plan to return there very soon and try their sweet waffles. Actually they just got a new regular customer. :D

This is a cute little shop with some outdoor seating which is great for days like today. It is otherwise a very small place with only a few tables. We shared a fruity heaven(special creations) and a matcha waffle. The fruity waffle was topped with vanilla ice cream, berry compote, strawberries, and bananas on the side with some whipped cream. I really enjoyed the berry compote, while the waffle was nothing special. The perfect bite would consist of waffle, berry compote, and some ice cream. The matcha waffle lacked real matcha flavor, which was disappointing because all of the matcha flavored desserts I had had up to that point in Vancouver had strong matcha flavor. I probably would not return, but it is a good place to check out if you are craving Belgian waffles.

Quaint little waffle place tucked away on W. Broadway. Parking is a bit awful here. Look on the side streets. The place is quite cozy, with a few tables tucked behind the kitchen area. There is also a small patio out front, with a single table. Staff were friendly. The waffles do take a bit longer to make, as it looks like they customize them on the spot. No frozen stuff here. Pricing is reasonable, but there are options that can easily drive up the price. For the deluxe experience, one is looking for $ 12 or so. I had the creamy potato waffle. It was quite good, though I’m not sure if the potato salad was made in house. It came with a nice little salad(balsamic vinegar), which was quite good. The edges of the waffle were nice and lumpy, as they were made by hand and weren’t of the Eggo variety. The place is good for a snack or a date, but the dish was definitely a bit smaller than I expected. Something to keep in mind. The place has won some awards(hung on the wall), and it’s easy to see why. I would definitely be back. Recommended.

WGW is such a happy place! Friendly service, cute place, and great waffles! It is a waffle lover’s paradise, with so many types, both sweet and savory! Some of them are rather experimental. I opted for the creamy potato waffle, which is kinda like a waffle potato sandwich, and an iced tea. They specialize in Belgian Liege waffles, which is probably why they can keep the prices that they do, because otherwise it a tad pricey, for the portions they serve. I might go there to try out the more exotic dishes(Okonomiyaki waffles anyone?), but probably not for the more regular options. Pro tip: You can ask to mix up the iced tea flavors. Because sometimes you feel like strawberry AND lemonade and you can’t choose just one.

Sehr leckere Waffeln mit herzhaften oder süßen Belägen. Ich hatte die Schinken-Käse-Waffel, dazu gibts ein bisschen Salat. Auch der Kaffee schmeckt sehr gut! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Every detail in here is comforting and delicious. The waffles are not super sweet and amazingly fluffy. The California waffle with soft waffle, cucumber, imitation crab and Japanese mayo sauce sound really weird but tastes amazing!!! Also the lychee green tea was brewed with the perfect sweetness and with full aroma of delicious lychee. Definitely one of the best service and yummy waffle place I would visit time to time!
