Don’t believe the hype. Nothing special and overpriced. I heard about this when it was referred to as $ 2.85 burger and it was receiving a lot of hype. I looked forward to going down there to try it out. Firstly they raised their prices. It’s close to $ 5 to get a cheeseburger now, so it’s not a great deal. Second, it’s nothing special. Really not a whole lot better than your typical fast food place. I also ordered fries, which were LITERALLY the smallest fries I have ever seen. I think I got about 8 fries out of it. It’s a baby sized portion. I believe it was over $ 2 too. Sooo… it’s not a great portion, the price is not great, and you get to sit in the rain to eat your food. Not recommended.

Wak Wak Burger is the new name for the old $ 2.85 burger truck on Granville Street in downtown and now they have an expanded menu! However, they did raise their prices.(Their original burger is now $ 3.42 and their cheese burger is now $ 4.39) Additional options include: Menchi Burger Kobe Burger Chicken Burger Rice Burger Unfortunately, the kobe, chicken, and rice burgers were not ready yet so I decided to try their menchi katsu burger. This burger is really unique as it uses a deep fried meat patty rather than a traditional ground beef patty. Overall, I do enjoy their burgers a lot since they give you plenty of fresh veggies and their buns are both soft and lightly crisp.
