Wow, not impressed with white spot’s food anymore. We ordered the legendary burger and gravy and everything tasted terrible. The burger was flavourless, the sauce non-existent, the sunflower seeds in the coleslaw were stale and the gravy had an odd aftertaste. The service was also not the best. Our waiter wasn’t unfriendly but also wasn’t very attentive either. The hostess, bless her heart, asked if my 5 month old son needed a highchair and kids menu. I said no he isn’t quite there yet. Then she brought us a pirate colouring pack with crayons. Sweet but my baby isn’t quite there yet. Won’t be going back. I’ll stick to the white spot on the ferries thanks!

Terrible service. Long waits for no reason. Food could’ve been better. We went for a family dinner at 8pm. There was a line but didn’t have to be if the turnover was quicker. There were 4 tables left not cleaned for a good 10 to 15 minutes. Lots of servers/waiters bustling around… but noone to clean up the tables. We get seated 15 minutes later. The host takes us to our table. We’re ready to order but noone comes to ask us if we wanted water for a good 10 mins. We had to stop a server to take our order. Poor service. Poor management. The floor manager was walking around, talking on the phone to who knows. Not doing a great job of managing the floor. The servers and bussers didn’t seem to care, bunched in a corner chit chatting. I love white spot. But will not be eating here ever again.

Hello, hello~ This place is Bizzz-e. Busy. I’d recommend putting your name down, going shopping for a bit, then coming back here and then your table will be ready. Unless you get here when the restaurant first opens. I ordered a legendary burger from here. :) It hits the spot. The sauce in their burger is great and I want to learn how so I can make it and put it on my own bbq burger. The staff is helpful and kind~ Good classic family restaurant. I wish they would let adults order the pirate pack.

Incompetent waiters. Told me to go left when my party was inside. Ended up walking a perimeter of the restaurant until I found my friend hidden directly on the other side of which the waiter told me to go. Also, you will wait a long time for your food. I do not come here to enjoy food, simply to survive.

Food was ok, I think everyone knows what White Spot tastes like. They really need to improve the cleanliness of this location though. In the bathroom, there was literally a pool of urine from the urinal to the sink, so gross. And the cutlery was also not clean, and there was food bits all over the floor. The place seemed understaffed, there was a 15 minute wait, and half the tables were empty. This seems to be a pervasive problem with White Spots. Saturday is a busy day, should staff appropriately.

White Spot is no more my White Spot of memory Milk shake was a joke. Not what it used to be. Maybe two oz extra in the tin cup. Why bother. White Spot continues to erode. Nobody in there — probably because they have lost their way. I respect and loved the original Spot but oh where have you gone. Remember the Cheescake used to be great cream cheese flavor — but no more. Triple O not so much OOO any more. Clam Chowder tastes like from a can. Milkshakes now out of a machine not even mixed in the steel cup anymore. Chicken Pickens where did you go. Car service — sold out the Condo developments. Good bye White Spot it’s been nice but you have gone gone gone.

Service was just OK, not very friendly or happy. Waited a long time for a table, they said they called our name but we didnt hear it. Goat cheese flat bread was fantastic but shrimp flatbread tasted fishy. Good caesar salad and blueberry lemonade. Clam chowder is manhattan red yuck not new england white.

Came to White Spot(Oakridge) to meet a friend for brunch. I don’t have a car this week so I thought this location would be great cuz it’s right on the Skytrain line. I arrived at 945 and was surprised there was a line up already. The hostess said it would be a 10 to 15 mins wait. True to form I was seated in 10 mins. I ordered the Nats Big Breakfast. The food was ok la! Nothing great… 3 stars. The eggs were a bit over cooked and rubbery. I have to say that the service level at this White Spot has had an atrocious reputation! But my current experience has been very positive! Our waitress came by at least twice to fill up our coffee mugs. She was friendly and courtesy. Even the restaurant manager was walking around attending to his customers. He came by once to see if we needed anything! Big improvement from the last few times I’ve been here! ½ star extra for the service level. I would rate this place 3.5 stars.

Solid 3.5 stars, I used to come here more often when Chikani(?) used to work here, but had heard she moved over to West Broadway location, great service by the way, used to bring unlimited Triple O sauce, but I digress. It’s a crazy busy location, connected to the mall, and the only true sit-down restaurant for the offices upstairs. Always long lineups during the lunch/dinner. Parking isn’t just the problem, but the maze of doors to get to the right floor; if you’ve found the elevators, then you’re in the clear. I try to ask for the booth seating far up by the wall, it’s on a raised platform too, and much more discrete to hold business meetings, as there are no tables beside you other than the booths beside you. Monty Mushroom is my deal, and the chocolate milkshakes are good here, sometimes even the leftovers in the silver tin is almost half full. Washrooms are clean. I believe the right side can be blocked off for functions, and a good window view by 41st Ave. Did a BNI years ago.

Why even bother asking what time to pick up an order when it’s never on time?! Have consistently had to wait 5 – 20 minutes past the time the food was supposed to be ready. With a short lunch break, this is not ideal.

Went here with my family to celebrate my brothers’ graduation. This White Spot is in a good location since customers who shop at Oakridge Mall usually come here for lunch or dinner. We had to wait for our seats approx. 10 minutes. We ordered White Spot’s famous Fish and Chips, Fettucini Alfredo with Salmon, Baby Back Ribs. For dessert we had a Sundae and we wanted to try their new Mini Dutch Apple tart. We had to wait for around 30– 45 minutes for our dish to come. The dishes were really well done. I love the Mini Dutch Apple tart, it was sweet and crunchy with full of flavour. Will definitely go back some time!

I really don’t understand how this place is managed. Out of all the times I’ve eaten here, the service is horrendous. I have to wait literally 30 – 45 min for food to arrive even during non peak hours when restaurant is not even a quarter full. I love white spot but this location has got to have the worst service in the lower mainland.

This location is right in Oakridge mall. I have been here a few time when I’ve had a craving. I am a big fan of the chain, however, on the customer service side this has to be the worse White Spot that I’ve ever encountered. At this location the food isn’t prepared with the awesomeness of the other locations which is naturally disappointing. The waitress acted as though asking for a bottle of ketchup was a chore for her. She acted as though I asked her for the world.

Love the White Spot, but prefer other locations, we were hungry and stopped here for a healthy option. Service was not great, not sure if our server was slammed or not interested in anything more than a 10% tip. White Spot food is consistent and they do a great job but I’m not a fan of this location.

FIRSTIMPRESSION This was my first visit to the White Spot in the Oakridge Shopping Centre. I arrived during the dinner hour, so I wasn’t surprised there was a line up to get in. My wait was a little under fifteen minutes. FOOD I ordered the«Spot’s Zoo Sticks”(breaded zucchini) as an appetizer and the 2 piece halibut and chips as the main course. The zoo sticks were slightly overcooked and dry(see photo), but actually tasted much better than they looked. The halibut and chips were visually disappointing. The fish pieces were ridiculously small, especially when compared to the White Spot’s menu photo(see photo). I knew it was a bit of a risk ordering something from the menu that wasn’t a hamburger; my bad. That being said, the fish was firm, flaky and had a subtle taste. The chips on the other hand tasted like the leftovers found floating in the deep fryer. Seriously, how hard is it to make a presentable chip? On the plus side there weren’t that many on the plate(but you can get never-ending fries for the asking). SERVICE The zoo sticks appetizer arrived followed less than five minutes later by my fish and chips. I commented to the server that he had just delivered my appetizer, but he did not respond. I had to decide whether to have my meal hot or the zoo sticks hot. I hate making life and death decisions. White Spot might want to train their servers to time the delivery of the different courses. Unfortunately, the server was slow in clearing away empty plates and it took multiple requests before extra napkins arrived(For the record my wife is the sloppy eater, not me). RECOMMENDATION The restaurant was very noisy and it wasn’t easy to carry on a conversation, so it is perfect for married couples. Service needs to be better. The food is good despite portion issues. The prices are too high for the food served. I would suggest sticking to hamburgers if you don’t want to be disappointed.

I walked out with a ‘huh’ feeling, as I remembered that their burgers were better, and it just didn’t materialize in that manner in my stomach. Being the only true restaruant in Oakridge does help this place ‘big-time’! Every lunch I see a pack of people either sitting, or standing around waiting for their names to be called so they can have a seat. I never thought White Spot’s business was that good, but this location has always seen some good business. Either get here early, or get here later and don’t come during primetime lunch hour. I had the signature burger while meeting up a friend for some business conversation. When the burger arrived, it looked really ‘plain-Jane’. Was it the lighting in the room, was it missing some garnishing? was the plate to big, and the burger to small. Something about this burger looked — flat. It just lost attractiveness, and looked a little bigger than a burger you would order at McDonald’s for less than a buck. They did load the plate with fries, to compensate for the burger, I think. I finished the burger, and most of the fries, and was not feeling too good afterwards(the words bloated wanted to be belched out!). This meal didn’t have the juicy goodness of the last White Spot burger I had at one of their smaller Triple-O’s locations. I do give this place credit, as they can always keep a line, and how no one else has been able to open a true sit down restaurant in Oakridge to go and compete with these guys! Next time I want one of their signature burgers, I think I will go to Triple-O’s… or maybe another location to dodge the crazy lines.

So after my last White Spot ordeal I had vowed to never go to a White Spot again. Fast forward to less than a month later, and I find myself sitting in another White Spot, fuming at my Ultimate Frisbee team and their stupid voting system. Thankfully, the service here was ten thousand times better than at the other place, and the food here was better as well. Our server was amazing — she put up with all 11 of us rowdy, sweaty people and checked up on us often. My chicken pot pie was by far the best order out of everyone’s meals(the thing is massive), and the server even brought out extra fries for everyone since the kitchen was closing. Overall, a much better than than I expected. Perhaps not all White Spots are evil?
