First, I apologize for mixing up Winthrope Contact Lens and Roberts & Browns. They share the same space. Secondly, Garry Winthrope did a great job at fitting my contacts and hence, the extra star. I do not mind paying $ 300+ for the contacts(and this was many years ago) but a level of post-sale service is expected. Usually, I do not bother bringing in 1 ripped contact lens because yes, it could have been me. However, 3 ripped contact lenses in a row caused me to question if that group had some sort of defect. When I brought back the contact lenses, I unfortunately did not get a chance to speak to Garry because he was busy. Instead, I spoke to Ivan who proceeded to lecture me on how to insert contact lenses properly and how nails can rip lenses, Just because I’m female doesn’t automatically mean I have long nails and I had been wearing contacts for at least 7 years! Please don’t lecture your customers or accuse them of ripping the lenses. It wasn’t much for you to replace them with sample lenses and you would have had a return customer. What infuriated me was his patronizing tone of voice. That one experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I haven’t been back.
