A pretty solid eggs Benny. I had the ham one and it was delicious albeit a little messy(okay a LOT messy) especially when eating sitting at my desk at the office. Not the cheapest but it’s so tasty that I doubt anyone cares. Yum.

Amazingly good breakfast sandwiches! If you live for breakfast, three times a day like me! This place is heaven!

A unique street food concept. Was right close to our hotel and was one of the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Service was great too. Friendly and bubbly. Wait was maybe 10 mins but there were at least 4 other people in front of us. Oh and you have to try the truffle lemon hashbrown skewer. Amazing.

THISPLACEISINCREDIBLE!!! You know when you read great reviews and see a photo that makes your mouth water… and then… you are let down. Not the case here. YOUWON’T BEDISAPPOINTED. Their egg sandwiches are perfection. The egg is poached perfectly with tender ham or crunchy bacon, both amazingly flavorful. Fresh grated white cheddar cheese completes the picture with everything placed on a crispy-on-the-outside yet soft-on-the-inside english muffin. They instruct you to gently push the sandwich together so the egg breaks and doesn’t explode, potentially causing a messy disaster. Each bite allows all the complementary flavors to shine and just melts in your mouth. SOGOOD. BUTWAIT… there’s more. There is an item called the truffle hashbrown that comes on a stick. Sure we’ll try it. WHOA! This is not for the meek. The hashbrown is actually many chunks of potatoes that have been somehow infused with truffle oil and either roasted or fried or whatever… cooked just right. OMG! It’s like a symphony in your mouth. We went over a week ago and are still talking about how wonderful this breakfast was and how we wish we could go back again and again. Run don’t walk and check it out.

Yolks serves a traditional homestyle waffle, only it’s more dense than its fluffier comrades. The dense dough and subtle syrup made this waffle decent, but it still cannot rival a liege waffle.

I’ve always wanted to go to Yolk’s to try their chicken and waffles but have never had the chance since I’m never in the area around brunch time. I’m glad I finally got to go today at the Food Truck Fest! Waffles were thick and have deep holes which are perfect for keeping the gravy and/or maple syrup in. Slightly crunchy on the outside, which is just the way I like my waffles. There was more fried chicken than could fit in the sandwich which I thought was great. Extra chicken is always good! It came out a bit overcooked on the outside with the breading almost black in places, but thankfully the inside was still nice and soft and juicy. The only downside in my opinion is the price. At $ 11.75 for two quarters of a waffle and maybe a full chicken breast it was a bit pricey. Perhaps because everything is organic etc? I can get twice as much food for less money from another sit-down place. It ended up being a very filling meal but I don’t think it was exceptional enough for me to go out of my way again and pay that much for it. I might still come back though to try their eggs as I imagine that that’s what they specialize in.

Hands down the best meal I had in Vancouver. The«hash browns»(they were really fried potato chunks) on a stick were a little odd at first, but grew on me. What a great way to serve breakfast potatoes on the go! The«spicy» ketchup was fun too. And the sandwich was heavenly. Perfectly poached egg, creamy hollandaise, and the mushroom and arugula were the perfect complement. I generally think food trucks are a trendy way to trick people into spending a lot of money for street food that should be cheap. This is no exception, but… well… I’ll make an exception to eat here.

The first time I went to Yolk’s, there were about 4 people in line at the truck. No big deal. What was a big deal was that it took 30 minutes for my breakfast sandwich to be made. Something’s not right there in terms of logistics — don’t know if they were just training someone new? The sandwich I had was delicious — one egg, with double smoked bacon and arugula, as well as aged cheddar, on an English muffin. Oh baby. So good. So good that I braved the possible wait to go back again today — had the same thing, and it was just as good — and the wait was a much more reasonable 10 minutes. I don’t mind waiting 10 minutes on a sidewalk for freshly prepared food — but 30 minutes is entering«I should be seated at a table in a restaurant with a beverage» territory. Too long for a truck. Also had the Earl Grey/Honey Lemon iced tea today, which was delicious, not too sweet, and very refreshing. Bottom line? Food = amazing. Wait = hit or miss. Suppose it depends how much you’re craving that poached egg!

Well unfortunately we had a terrible food poisoning experience at the food truck about a month ago. My spouse had eaten a raw breakfast sandwich which we waited 30mins for so was a bit confusing. Picture of meal is attached. After he ate half the sandwich it caught my eye :(He became ill by the evening but nothing serious was fine the following day. The Yolks owner was contacted and was very apologetic and understanding and picture was sent to him and he did say he spoke to his staff regarding the incident. He then sent us a 40 $ gift card to his restaurant location where we have always had a pleasant visit but will be sticking to chicken and waffles from now on.

Saw their second white truck near Burrard and W Pender. The light blue cart is still by the station on Dunsmuir. Menu is basically the same from when I went last year, so I got one of their specials on my latest visit in late November. FRASERVALLEYDUCKCONFITSANDWICH: It was $ 10.95 for one egg and $ 16.25 for two eggs. Poached egg, cart-made Hollandaise, spinach, crispy cracklins, and cart-made marmalade. Loved the toasted English muffin. Perfect poached egg. Cracklins were amazing. Marmalade brought everything together. The spicy ketchup is delicious. It’s more sweet than anything else, but still goes well with the sandwich. HOTCALLEBAUTCHOCOLATEMILK: $ 3.50 for 12 oz. A total win on a chilly morning. Much pricier this time around because of the special, but still five stars in my book!

If there’s such a thing, how about a 3.25? With all the hype, maybe I expected too much, but really, it’s nothing special. You can get nice poached egg in a sandwich, burger or whatever, but the challenge is when/where, esp. when you’re in a rush, going to/from the Chinatown skytrain… So for truck food, it’s one of the better hyped ones… but other than the hype, I didn’t find the ciabatta all that special: double everything, but the bacon strips were tiny! And for $ 10.75, I’d walk down another block to Frankie’s Italian Kitchen for some real food, like their pasta, for yes, $ 5 more but for sure you’d be full and satisfied. I went to Hai Phong just down the steps shortly after lol. So the 3.25 is better than OK, since there’s worse food trucks out there.

Tried the food truck out on a Wednesday morning around 10:30 am. I had the hand carved honey ham with aged white cheddar on truffle-lemon hash browns, and my boyfriend had the double smoked bacon with hollandaise benedict style with a fresh squeeze OJ. I had 2 eggs and the serving size of ham and hashbrowns was perfect. My egg centres weren’t runny like they’re famous so that was a bit of a bummer, other than that, they were cooked and seasoned well. Their house made dijon was really nice and the aged white cheddar was tasty too but I would have liked much more. I was most excited to try the hashbrowns, the lemon flavour was different in a good way, but I couldn’t taste the truffle at all so that was disappointing. I had a couple of bites of my boyfriend’s benedit and the english muffin was toasted to absolute PERFECTION. It’s such a simple thing, but really, the english muffing base even after being piled with runny eggs and sauce was just as deliciously crispy near the end of the meal as it was at the beginning. I’m definitely getting eggs benedict style next time.

I never knew that such high quality breakfast could come from a food truck. My double –smoked-bacon eggs Benedict on a whole wheat ciabatta bun with creamy hollandaise and arugula zapped my taste buds awake before my eyes even adjusted to the morning light. I’m now officially ready for anything that this day throws at me. Shout out to Unilocaler Lindsay Woods(from WRG Mag) for turning me on to this place.

Had the pork belly confit special and it was AMAZING. I substituted the muffins for lemon and truffle hashbrowns which were crispy and so flavorful. Topped with white cheddar and hollandaise and a poached egg, this breakfast was worth every calorie. A lot of calories. The pork belly was sooo tender just that I expected a crispy crackled skin. It was just soft. still very good. I would love to come back for the stacked pancakes. I’m sure those would be great too.

Tried the Hand Carved Honey Ham with fresh spinach & Yolk’s made Dijon on an english muffin with hollandaise. I found either the ham or the dijon tasting a little off but overall it was a solid benny, the Portobello Mushroom is a better choice in my opinion, The Truffle Lemon Hashbrowns are definitely worth trying, a zesty twist on a brunch classic! Tried the Belgian Waffle with the Salted Caramel at the Food Cart fest and it was disappointing as the sauce was bitter, maybe it was burnt. My neighbour’s French Toast looked amazing though. I came at around 1:30PM on a Sunday and the lineup took forever, 5 stars any other day but it wasn’t worth waiting 45mins+ for on this particular Sunday. Edit: The chicken and waffles here leave more to be desired, waffles weren’t crispy and the portion is small. If you want a really good one give Joe Fortes a try at brunch. Honestly a lot of their business is based on hype, everything I’ve tried so far is pretty average.

Location=Tumbs Up! I discovered the food truck at the corner of Dunsmir and Beatty St. few month ago. It’s like two blocks after BC place on the way to Stadium sky train station. Very friendly opening hours. Til 2pm including Saturday and Sunday. Amazing staff! And, and, and Chicken and Waffles! Hooray for a dish with chicken instead beef and other kind of meat… Am I dreaming right now?! AMAZING deep-fried chicken+ Belgian style waffles+REAL maple syrup. Good price. Convenient location. Highly recommended.

walked over a mile just to try this! It’s a truck that’s parked on the corner of Beatty and Dunsmuir. Great place to get some food. It does take a while to make, so don’t get this unless you have at least 5 minutes to wait. There’s a menu posted on the side of the truck, and how it works is you choose what type of meat(or vegetable) you want, then you choose what type of sauce(hollandaise or cheddar), then you choose whether or not you want 1 egg or double everything. If you chose 1 egg, your food will come between an English muffin. If you chose to double everything, you get to choose between Benedict style or on Chibatta. I got the Ham/Hollandaise/Double everything/Benedict style, and it was amazing. I engulfed my food, and it goes GREAT with their orange juice. Freshly squeezed and perfect for the morning. I also recommend getting the Truffle-Lemon Hashbrown Skewer. It comes with about 5 or 6 pieces of potato on a skewer, and they go great while you eat your poached egg(especially once all that yolk has dripped out!). The problem I do have with this place is the price and the portion size. If you just order what I described above(with NO drink or Skewer) and you double everything, it comes out to OVER $ 10. Not only that, the order is pretty small. Even after my double everything, hashbrown skewer, and orange juice, I was still a little hungry and dissatisfied. Nonetheless, this place is more about quality than it is about quantity. Make sure you double everything though!

Wow, who knew a food truck breakfast could be so awesome? Yolks has it all figured out and is a definite«must-visit» on our frequent trips to Vancouver. First things first, their coffee is AMAZING! I can’t remember the brand, but it’s awesome, and I like to get a big cup to sip while awaiting the yummy goodness that awaits. For our first visit to Yolks we shared a breakfast sandwich and their famously fantastic truffle potatoes on a stick — the taters are worth the trip, and are delicious. The sandwich was also amazing, with a perfectly poached egg nestled between two crisply english muffin halves, garnished with thick bacon, and doused with creamy hollandaise sauce. On our next visit we fully intended to enjoy another breakfast sandwich, but when we found out they had pancakes on the menu that day we ordered those instead — again, we had an overwhelmingly wonderful breakfast experience(which is saying something since you have to sit outside on a wall to eat it — this place is THAT good). Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. Prepare to wait in line, but they get your order out as quickly as they can(and nice and hot). Damn, suddenly I’m craving one of those potato skewers again!

If Yolk’s truffle-lemon hashbrown skewer were a man, I would be too nervous to talk to him. Unless I was tipsy, and then i’d say something wildly inappropriate. Seriously. I have a mad crush on these potatoes. I’ve heard the buzz on Yolk’s for quite awhile but never had the chance to stop by until Food Cart Fest. On launch day, by the time I made it back for a meal they were nearly sold out and so i hastily ordered what was left — a double smoked bacon sandwich with two poached eggs & hollandaise sauce on ciabatta. The potatoes were an after thought. And thus began the obsession. First off, my spud crush is deceivingly simple. When I got my rather plain looking skewer of nugget potatoes I thought… well nothing really. It was a stick of potatoes. How magical could that be? Turns out, very. These potatoes are some of the best things i’ve eaten this year. Well cooked and SO flavourful without being super overpowering. I could have eaten four servings, no problem. Damn fine spuds. Whatever you happen to head to Yolk’s for, grab a skewer and see for yourself. They were out of the chicken and waffles so I settled on a double smoked bacon sandwich with two poached eggs & hollandaise sauce on ciabatta. Ddddaaammmnnnnn. I was a darn fine sandwich. And I finally understand the mention of «Yolk fingers». Those eggs will explode in yolky goodness and make this a messy but ultimately insanely satisfying experience. The sandwich was SO good that I made an extra, out of the way trip, back down this past weekend to relive it. But word of warning — take multiple napkins and perhaps not order this if you’re in your Sunday best. I’m so looking forward to trying out the rest of their menu in the coming weeks because so far, Yolk’s can do no wrong.
