Considering this is a registered massage therapist, I found this to be the single most odd massage I have ever received. I had strained my back on the weekend, and was unable to get hold of my regular massage therapist. Being in tremendous pain I made a few calls around town almost everyone being booked up, until I called Alfa. They were able to fit me in quickly, although they did seem fairly busy when I arrived. A woman came out from her massage, and said it was good and even decided to sign up as a member while I was filling out the standard paperwork for a first time client. I wrote on the paperwork that it was my left side low back that was causing me issues. But Shawn, this all seems like normal practice. After finishing the paperwork I was brought in to the room by the receptionist, where the«therapist» was standing holding a golden coloured blanket, «does he need this?» to which the receptionist replied, «no, he’s with insurance.» I was then instructed to remove all my clothes except my underwear, I thought this was odd, I’ve never taken off my pants for a back massage before, and wasn’t prepared to do so this time. When the«therapist» came back in, it all started off normal enough, she asked where my back was sore, kinda poked around that area, then proceeded to tell new an hour was too long, she could have my back done in twenty minutes, then she inquired why I still had my pants on, I’m not sure she understood my explanation, but kept rubbing my back. She then started using her forearm, and asked if the pressure was ok. I replied that it was fine and she proceeded to use her forearm fort the remainder of the time on my back, then she moved on top neck, then inquired about my pants again, this time she offered me paper underwear, which she opened I front of me. She told me to put these on and left the room. When she came back she proceeded to work on my legs and feet. Sounds good, right? But it’s my back that is sore. She followed this up by lifting the covers and telling me to roll over, which was difficult with my sore back and all. She stopped my cheesy with coconut scented oil, she claimed it was coconut, but the scent was to strong for it to have been the real thing. She rubbed my neck and her finishing move was by far the strangest thing I have ever experienced, from my neck she went to my ears and scalp, ruined my scalp, then started flicking it like there were bugs on it, then slapping it, I thought to myself at this point I was on a hidden camera show, and I’d be asked to sign a release form after. So, let me explain, up until the flicking of my head, it was a fairly relaxing massage, off that’s what I was after it would have been great. They give you a spa like experience, they give you slippers at the front door, they have hot rocks, paper underwear, golden blankets which I don’t want to know the meaning behind. Unfortunately, I was after a real massage therapist, that could focus on the area which needed treatment and this place didn’t give me the experience I was after, in fact when I left I questioned how it was possible that this was indeed an TNT that I dealt with, although language was a hefty barrier here as well. The most important thing I learned from this experience is lucky I am to have found Veritas, and Anna, and I will never stray again.

I would not recommend this place. I went there for a «relaxation» massage and was very disappointed. I wanted registered, and the person they called in to do the massage was late so I was left sitting and waiting. They told me that someone else would be doing it so I agreed and got ready in the room. The woman who gave me a massage left the room THREE times! It was unbeleivable! It was not relaxing at all, I felt uncomfortable each time she opened the door. She later explained to me that it was the receptionists first day! And to top it off the worst part about it was it wasn’t even a full hour!!! I looked at the clock and was floored! I would never go back to this place and wouldn’t recommend it to others!
