Brizzo Lighting

Alex was great. He took the time to ask questions about the room and what I wanted. He then walked me through different options. He did not have the one I wanted in stock but he got it for me right away. Looks great, works well. One of the few times my girlfriend did not send me back to return something.

We bought a 12 light crystal chandelier from Brizzo about 2 years ago. Alex, the owner, recommended to go with LED bulbs, it was $ 150 more expensive than halogen but he told us that they will last forever. This was an important consideration, because replacing lights in a chandelier that hangs at the top of a circular staircase is not for amateurs.
To our surprise, 3 months after the purchase one of the LED lights died. A month later another two lights started turning off 5 minutes after we switch the light on. We called Alex and he came few days later and replaced the lights. In a year, we got another 4 dead lights and another two that would turn off after a few minutes. After few unsuccessful attempts to reach Alex by phone, my husband just went to the store. Alex was apologetic but told my husband that it is probably due to overheating bulb sockets and he cannot do anything as the warranty period for chandelier had passed…
My husband ended up renting scaffolds and replacing all the LED bulbs with halogen ones. This was 6 months ago, so it looks like these last longer and we don’t see any lights turning off from «overheating». These LED lights that Brizzo sold us must have been defective…
We will certainly not buy anything from Brizzo again, we ended up with a lot of headache and paid $ 300 more than should’ve: $ 150 extra for LED lights, $ 100 scaffolds rental, and $ 50 for halogen lights to replace the LED ones.

Added (after I received response by the owner):
The response by the owner (Alex) on «savings» is total nonsense, I have halogen pot lights all over the house and we change the bulbs once every 5 – 8 years in average. Besides, we had to rent scaffolding to replace faulty LED lamps anyway. Hence, the cost «neutrality» suggested by the owner is clearly not appropriate.

Great store, a lot modern style light fixtures. Very pleased with advise received at the store — Alex was very helpful, gave a lot of tips about sizing for our new dining room chandelier. His licensed electrician arrived to install it after just couple of days and also did an outstanding job — very professional, cleaned after. Overall a superb shopping experience — made my wife and me very happy. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and come back myself!!!

Worse terrible online lighting purchase I have ever experienced in 10 years. The lamp I received from purchasing online at Brizzo was broken in pieces and Brizzo refused to refund, even though I immediately took pictures and sent to them. I had purchased lamps online from other lighting stores and none of the lamps received were badly damaged. Other lighting stores provide much better services and stand behind the quality of their products.
