Amazing how quickly customer service can change your attitude towards a business. I went into this store and the first thing I saw were racks of Miyuki beads in all colours, all labelled with their size and price. I got so excited and immediately wished that this store was located closer to me. However, it was all downhill from there. Other than the Swarovsvki crystals, next to nothing in the store is labelled and half the stuff doesn’t have any price tags. When I asked the proprietor the price of some metal cones(of an unknown material) she told me that anything that wasn’t ticketed was $ 1.00(there is no signage to indicate this). There is a wall of pearls with no descriptions whatsoever. There is a wall of semi-precious stones, again with no tags indicating what they are, their size, whether they are natural or dyed or anything at all. I asked if they had rubber earring backs for French hook earrings and she showed me one type of rubber backing, when I asked if she had a different kind her answer was a somewhat impatient«I have everything». Yeah, no, you don’t. This is where I got turned off; she wasn’t concerned at all about helping me find what I was looking for. Things they don’t carry include: spike beads, superduo beads and cylindrical rubber backings. The do carry price tags(1 type), gift boxes, plastic beads, chains, leather cord, some silver findings and a limited selection of display items. On a positive note the ring finding that I was looking for was $ 1.00 as compared with $ 4.00 at Kutie Cute, although the one from Kutie Cute is rhodium plated whereas the metal of the Fabucraft ring is unknown. Also a 30ft roll of .018″ 49 strand Beadalon ‘bright’ wire is competitively priced at $ 16.90, but they don’t have it in ‘Satin Silver’. At the check-out the owner informed me that once I spend $ 200(cumulative) at the store I can get a card that entitles me to 50% off regularly priced no-name merchandise. There is also a discount on the Swarovski products. There is a sign in the window that says the store is moving a few units over January 2013; when I asked the owner about it she said they were behind in the renovations and currently scheduled to move within 2 weeks.
