Went there for the first time with friends this past weekend for dinner. The place is in a strip mall on a very residential street and hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area. The menu is good especially the pasta dishes and the service decent.

La Socca is well hidden neighbourhood restaurant.
Their food is overall very nice. I can’t pretend I have experimented entirely with the menu, but my dining partners have been always happy with the pasta dishes and salmon tartar. They also have fresh oysters to start the night with although the three dollars per oyster yesterday seemed a little bit overpriced. Most of the dishes are offered in two sizes, appetizer and main course version, perfect way to control you calories intake or if you want to deviate from the kids menu for your little ones. The goat cheese filo salad during my last visit was delicious.
The wine list seems to be dominated by French choices, more then a half of the wines are available by glass, so you are not obliged to go with a bottle.
Service is friendly and polite.
The best is the terrace during the summer, you can dine or just grab a beer and appetizer outdoors.
La Socca may not necessarily deserve a trip to Nun’s Island from faraway neighbourhoods, but it is a wonderful dining option if you are nearby.

We arrived in Montréal late and we were trying to find someplace close by to where we were staying to eat. What a find we found here. The owner seated us and waa extremely helpful in helping us pick the perfect dishes. Food was amazing service was impeccable would definitely come back again on my next visit to Montréal

J’habite sur l’île des soeurs depuis un bon moment et je n’avais vu ce restaurant qu’en passant en jogging. Il s’adonne à être vraiment à l’écart c.-à-d. hors du secteur commercial.
L’été, ils ouvrent une grande terrasse à l’extérieur et, rapidement, ca semblait être très ordinaire. Bien, mais sans plus. Quand j’y ai mis les pieds, je dois dire que j’ai été grandement étonné. Je né m’attendais pas qu’un restaurant dans une zone aussi éloignée et obscure à Montréal puisse réellement avoir du punch.
Brièvement, le service était impeccable, la nourriture exquise et le tout à un prix fort raisonnable pour le type de mets qu’ils y servent. J’ai prit un carré d’agneau, du vin et un bon dry Martini. Ils ont une bonne sélection d’alcool. Le carré est servi avec un à coté de légume et une petite sauce bien agencée.
Bémol, je dois dire que j’y étais un lundi où il n’y avait pratiquement personne. Naturellement, beaucoup de restos sont inconsistant dépendant de la quantité de gens qu’ils doivent servir et pour le moment, je n’ai aucune idée si c’est leur cas. Je peux seulement vous dire que de mon point de vue:
La Socca, c’est la classe sur l’île des soeurs!
