Bon Sushi

Great sushi, good service, have been here about 8 times since moving to the area 3 months ago. The only problem I have is they don’t always honour their hours. Twice we have shown up 20 minutes before closing time and were not allowed in. One of the times as we were walking away, a large family went to the door and they were turned away also.
That is bad business — we are never there for more than half an hour anyway. If you close at 9:30, you should still let people in at 9:10, or alternately, post closing hours as 9:00.

Been getting takeout from here for years and have yet to have a bad experience. They offer a large selection of rolls, and will even whip you something up not on their menu if they have the ingredients. The restaurant is a bit dark, but with only a 15 minute wait time for pickup, it is our go to when we want some sushi at home.

I only went to Bön sushi once for a small and simple order but was not impressed enough to return.
The restaurant was very nice — pleasant, clean, and modern. It was a bit dark for at atmospheric setting.
I only ordered miso soup and a salmon roll for a light meal. I usually order salmon sashimi but I found the sashimi more expensive here than it typically is elsewhere. When my order came, the miso soup was good but the salmon rolls were subpar. The rolls were loose and the rice was undercooked. So I ate loose salmon rolls with hard chewy rice. I told the cashier when I paid, she smiled and said she would let them know. But I still won’t go back, there are way too many good sushi places around that get it really right for me to spend money here again.

I ordered a yam tempura roll and a California roll.
The yam was hard as a rock and wasn’t cooked long enough. Not appetizing what so ever.
The California roll tastes so bad and seemed like it was a little bit of fake crab mixes with a ton of mayonnaise.
The Miso soup was decent.
Service was horrendous. We ordered water and had to ask twice for it, as they never brought it.
My friend ordered her favourite sushi that she usually orders to go, and it wasn’t up to the to go standards she said, plus she ordered a green salad and they brought her some sort of eel salad instead. Got part of her order wrong. She then ordered to go sushi for her boyfriend and we brought it back to him. It looked and tastes way better than in the restaurant. Still wasn’t the best sushi.
