This place is AMAZING! The people that work here are knowledgeable, friendly, and super fun to be around! The store is filled with unique tea mugs, thoughtful little gifts, and the best travel mugs on earth. I have been here twice and both times they were decorated for the season. In the summer time they had tons of fresh fruit teas out that I loved and for the holiday season I fell in love when I walked in. Tons of fun holiday mugs, and tea that made me want to stay here forever! I had the same girl help me twice and she even remembered me, which is impressive because my visits are six months away from each other. She(along with her whole staff) is patient, helpful and love finding the right teas! I thought it would be annoying to ask to smell so many teas but she made me feel like she was having fun with me! They have white tea, green tea, oolong tea, black tea, herbal tea and puyreh. They have plain leaf tea and flavored ones as well. Their canisters open so you can smell the teas and even see the texture. They always have samples that are fresh brewing, which are always so delicious and you can even get a tea to go! Their website is awesome, and will deliver to the states! Try them!

I really wanted to go to a loose leaf tea shop while I was in town. This is the first one I had walked into. The staff was very friendly. However, I would not consider this«real» tea. C’mon… Who has Peanut Butter Tea? Sounds like something you’d eat and not drink. That didn’t sound very appealing to me. I prefer the authentic Asian teas, middle eastern, etc. The décor was more of a modern minimalist. The space was very open. There were couches on one corner and a few chairs/tables. Not somewhere I would want to cozily sit to relax with my cup of tea. It seems they are catering to the younger crowd. I didn’t stay very long after looking at their selection of teas. They were a majority of tea blends.

It’s great to stop in here for a tea. in the summer they offer a fun iced beverage called a tea pop! In the summer they have comfortable chairs to sit outside and people watch. And the employees are really passionate about tea. This isn’t a traditional tea British or Asian tea experience but it is fun and great for a quick tea. They do not offer any food only beverages. I usually stop in here when I visit BC

Hm… I was greeted, I was handed a sample and it tasted similar to Teavana. NOTIMPRESSED. Typical sales gimmicks saying their loose leaf teas are the best. I asked them where in China their Chinese Green teas came from and this one guy started to look in his manual, then name off all these random places in China. Yeah.sorry bro. I don’t buy tea from people who can’t give me a straight answer. The tea smells O-K. Some were fragrant, but looking at how they brew their tea, you can clearly see coloration crystals staining the water right away. I think I’ll pass…

This place has such a different vibe from other tea shops I’ve seen! It seems so young and hip and vibrant! There are so many teas. A lot of them seem very flavored and often had names that did not give me much of a clue as to what they were, but you can smell everything and the staff was quite helpful. I had a tea pop with a citrus tea, which is essentially carbonated iced tea($ 4). This was interesting and different but not sure it would ever be more than a novelty item to me. I also has a jasmine hot tea($ 3), which was very good and excellently brewed! You just can’t get tea like this is the states! The staff was helpful and friendly. Apparently there are now locations in San Francisco so hopefully we’ll continue to see expansion into the US!

I love Davids Tea on Johnson so much. The staff are excellent and have even given me a tea«on the house» when I was having a bad day. Haven’t been recommended a tea I didn’t like. Just a really great place overall. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a fun tea to try. It’s a little bit pricey though and if you’re just going for a cup of hot tea, expect to pay about $ 3. I think it’s worth it though.

I usually frequent the Hillside location, but felt that I needed to give kudos to this location, too! My daughter and I went in a week ago and were served by a very nice young woman(I’m sounding old now) who knew her stuff. She was good at her job; picked up on the cues of what I was interested in, made some suggestions and I walked out with three bags of tea, instead of just the one I came for. And, I’m no sucker!(or am I? heh) I went in for the Creamy Earl Grey(my reg) and walked out with the Read My Lips and Santa’s Secret. Thank you!

Knowledgeable staff, bright open atmosphere(so much so that it’s feels a little sterile) and delicious smelling and tasting teas available hot and cold. With all the tea options in Victoria, it sure is difficult to decide where to go. Davids Tea is a great option and worth a try especially if you’re looking for something a little different. :) Very little seating but f you grab a spot, it’s spacious, comfortable and opens onto the street adding to the vibe. However, if you’re expecting a cosy atmosphere with comfy seating, go somewhere else.

There’s tea here. You can find a David’s Tea anywhere now. There’s a Murchie’s Tea around the corner as well.

Hmmm… Yeah their tea smells good and stuff but there is just something«artificial» about this place. I feel like I am in a Starbucks or a Fast Food Restaurant. The tea that they sell here just seems a bit too«tutti fruity» for my liking. What can I say… this store just reeks of Toronto. If you like being served by summer students who learned everything they know about Tea from a 1 day training workshop, then this is your place. There are better places to buy tea in Victoria though. The Queen of England has a residence here for goodness sakes!
