My family of four stayed one night during a short stay in Victoria. Based on my experience, I would go back. The double-queen room was just fine for my wife and two young kids. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The full kitchen(stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, dishes, cutlery) was especially useful as we don’t like to eat out often due to dietary restrictions. Breakfast on the road was pretty much exactly what we would eat at home.

We came in with very low expectations because of the brand, outside look, and price. All we wanted was a clean and safe place to spend two nights while we tour the city. Our room was on the first floor and we expected noise from the cars, pub patrons, and upper floor noise as they had a soccer team there. The room turned out to be pretty quiet. The king bed was very comfortable. The room was adequately furnished with a desk, flat screen TV, fridge, safe, coffee maker, tea kettle and plenty storage for clothes. The location is very convenient and we love the Gorge so we really enjoyed our stay. Free parking and WiFi made it pretty sweet

The lodge is decent value overall for the price. It is very outdated; the carpets are nasty, the gym/pool area needs upgrades, and the heating/cooling system in the rooms is really bad.

Would not stay here again ended up leaving early and checking into a different hotel. Not the best of beds but fine could live with it, stingy on the pillows. Bathroom was a nightmare, I don’t know what was wrong with the shower when we were there but one minute it be what you set it at the next it be scorching hot then cold. The hotel overall needs a remodelling. The pool is at far end of hotel with gym. Where our hotel was situated I had to go upstairs and then down again and around corner to get to laundry and ice. Every morning the housekeeping would come and ask ‘to early’ yes to early i was trying to sleep it’s like we were always the first room so then we either wouldn’t get room cleaned or get asked if we need anything which is fine I guess I’m not to much or hey I need my bed made etc everyday but at same time I don’t want to have to nail our a list when I’m just waking up. Ended up staying 4 days of that when we were planing a wk and half

The fam and I have stayed here every year for the last few years on our annual journey to my second«homeland» to see my dad for the holidays. We always reserve their largest room, which has two queen hide a beds, a seperate bedroom with a queen bed, and a kitchenette. THis hotel is just a few minutes from both downtown as well as the new Uptown Mall and is within walking distance of Mayfair. Our room has always passed the«white sock» test — carpets are cleaned and maintained. The kitchen helps keep costs down, however their pub is da’bomb for some adult time close to the tweens. The pool is also well maintained, although the pool bathing area could use some work(which looked like it was in progress). We have never been disappointed and, for the money, I highly recommend as it is absolutely perfect for familes!

Four stars only because this property lacks an elevator and complimentary breakfast. What a great find! We don’t usually stay at Travelodges but had read positive internet reviews so decided to stay here. Only hotel that we were interested in for less than $ 100. It is just north of the Inner Harbor, about 2 miles, and half the price of Inner Harbor hotels. The rooms have been recently remodeled, new linen, four new comfy pillows and nice towels. Room is larger than most and very clean and comfortable. WEWOULDSTAYHEREAGAINANDWILLRECOMMENDITTOFRIENDS!!! They do not have breakfast, however they do have a restaurant on-site for $ 6 breakfast, plus beverage. If you don’t have a car, they do offer 4 shuttles in the morning and two in the late afternoon. The rooms are quiet, however they do not have an elevator — it has three stories. The staff is VERY helpful — Peter at the front desk really cared and was able to check us in at 10:30 am after arriving on the early morning ferry from Port Angeles. Plus they have free newspapers in the lobby to take to your room to enjoy your first cup of coffee. (The Travelodge in Courtenay is a «normal» Travelodge — just«okay», nothing special.)

Rather pleasant stay here. No discrepencies here. But I must say, the room was a tad on the small & cramped side. But I could live with it for a one night stay. The room was clean with just a few spots here and there in the bathroom that they can obviously improve on. But you can tell they tried. Oh, and another thing. They only give you two pillows at Travelodges! Well, I’m just assuming because I had stayed previously at a Travelodge in Richmond, BC and they only gave two pillows! I don’t mind much, but still. Bring on the fluffy pillows, Travelodge! But overall a nice place. We got here before the check-in time but they told us one of our rooms was ready already so they let us get the room key for one of them to drop off our belongings so we didn’t have to lug it around town. How fab of them.
