Lush oh Lush, you have amazing products and your customer service is really as good as it gets !

I love Lush and what it’s all about. The staff are always friendly but sometimes when i go in I get annoyed they persistently harass you.

I am a sucker for bath products so Lush is a very dangerous discovery for me. I was first introduced to Lush last year while I was in Victoria. The staff is great, they really seem to love the products and more than anything they want you to try them and love them as well. Working in the medical field my hands get best up washing them and using hand sanitizer all the time. The helping hands product from Lush has been a lifesaver, my hands are now nice and soft instead of dried and cracked. They have great soaps, shampoos and so many other products.

I have been ordering from Lush for almost ten years, but I have never actually stepped into a store. The staff was super polite to help me find what I was looking for, and they even gave me and my husband samples to try out. I would come here regularly if I lived in Vancouver.

My grown daughter and I were in Victoria for a quick post-Mother’s Day trip and stopped at the store on Government Street. She was looking to wash her hands, and a sales woman washed and massaged them for her, beyond her expectation, so of course I followed suit. We saw one of their staff giving a foot massage in front of the store, and made an appointment for a foot & leg treatment for us both, and a face treatment for me. We had a wonderful time of it! Blissful. Not only was it a kick to be having our feet washed and massaged out in the open on a hot day, the fellow was so nice, thorough, gentle, informative — no pushing of product. I bought three products I was impressed with, and have been using them at home since, to my delight. My skin is extra soft. Thank you Lush!

I like LUSH products and am pretty familiar with them. I walked out of this location because I had a rather annoying staff member being pushy, asking me too many questions and really, I just wanted to be left alone. Can I please pick out a bath bomb without having to answer twenty fuckin questions!!!
I felt so overwhelmed by this staff member that I held up my hands and walked out without a bath bomb :(

I love going in to Lush, it’s always fun looking at all the fun products they have. The staff is always super friendly (sometimes too much so: S) and, the ones that have been working there for a while, are very knowledgeable.
Unfortunately, they can be quite annoying, following you around, pressuring you into trying everything, and trying to get you to buy everything. I like to go in knowing what I’m after and prepared to say «no thank you» a lot.

I love Lush products and I’ve been buying them for years. My experience with Lush employees at their stores in Vancouver has been slightly irritating but tolerable. I’ve become used to their slightly over the top and pushy sales pitches… Their store in Victoria is just awful though! I’ve never felt so bombarded and stressed out with customer service staff in my life. Several times I said «no thank you, I just want to get what I came for» but they STILL forcefully shoved soaps and lotions into my face. I was so irritated I almost felt like leaving without buying anything! Luckily for them I truly do love Lush so I bought what I came for. However my experience at this location really has me reconsidering buying products from them ever again. Do they really think this pushy service is appealing?

I’ve been going to Lush regularly for almost a year now, and I love it even more that I did before! So much so that I feel compelled to update my review:
If you shop at Lush, you need to understand what you’re in for: extremely friendly, amazingly helpful staff who actually want to have a conversation with you about products (and yourself). It’s not the usual retail employee/​customer interaction. They want to make sure that you’re getting exactly what you need and frankly, there is so much to choose from and so many new products all the time, I like having someone take my hand and say, «Can I show you something?» It’s like going over to a girlfriends house and, lucky for you, that girlfriend just happens to make the best body products around. Everything I’ve purchased has been well worth my hard earned pennies, and I can definitely admit that I am a member of the cult of Lush.

I went into Lush a couple of weeks ago to try and get a good moisturizer. I’ve always loved their products but had a hard time with how over the top the staff are.
On this trip they were so over the top I had a hard time actually getting around the store. I would have loved to have just had a nice browse with appropriate and respectful service but instead I was so bombarded I couldn’t believe it. I don’t honestly know how it’s possible to train people to be like this.
After leaving I went to Origins at the Bay and got some amazing products and good service and won’t be back to Lush for awhile, unless I send someone else in to do my purchasing for me. Lush has great stuff– they should be more confident in letting the product speak for itself.

We enjoy using Lush products in Seattle but this store was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We did the «hot legs in the city» where they wash your feet and massage your legs with their product. Definitely a must after a long day of walking around town!

I hardly ever go into Lush, I find the smell overpowering and offensive and I often find the constant selling and pitching me on new products and activities more abrasive than their exfoliant.
However, yesterday I decided to put aside my judgment and try to find just that, a good exfoliant. The woman who greeted me right away took me to the body wash and scrub section and proceeded to demo three different options, explaining the pros and cons of each treatment. She seemed really knowledgeable about the interaction of the different ingredients with the different substances I might be exposed to throughout the day and the best combination to ensure satisfactory exfoliation and moisture retention (for example their Sea Salt rub has vodka in it which helps get rid of strong fish or garlic smells and is a hit with chefs scrubbing their hands after a long day of work).
I was really pleased and left with Sugar Bebe scrub (which has to be smashed at home, super fun) and almond and coconut smoothie (an amazing body wash that has left me smelling like a good cookie). I also grabbed Honey Trap lip balm because it smelt good and I’m fresh out.
All in all I’d say this was my best experience in Lush, I left with pretty much what I wanted and had a pleasant chat with the sales associates.

What a cool store! I would have never known there was also one right near my office in Beverly Hills had I not walked by while in Victoria for a day on vacay. Awesome products, fresh/​organic ingredients, even better staff. The gentleman who showed us around the store was fun, knowledgeable, and totally fabulous. I hope this local LUSH store in CA are just as great!

very helpful. They recommended a conditioner (rethread) for my hair
and I have been using it since.
