I bought a mattress at the branch on Douglas Street for a wall bed. Never took it out of the plastic wrap. When the wall bed was installed a week later, the installer said he wouldn’t recommend a foam mattress. I called McGeachie’s to see if they would take it back. They wouldn’t. They also said there is a no-​return policy clearly stated on the invoice, which is not true; if there had been, I wouldn’t have asked about returning it. This rules-​are-​rules approach (especially when they don’t tell you what the rules are) is not customer-​friendly, in my opinion.

Ten months ago, my husband and I looked all over Victoria for a reasonably priced natural latex mattress and wooden bed frame, and ended up in Langford at McGeachie’s Foam. It’s not a fancy-​looking place but if you are like us, you’d rather pay for excellent quality goods rather than a slick store. Delivery and setup were free and everything arrived and was done on time. The only problem has been the bed frame is about 3″ longer than the mattress so the mattress tends to move, but we haven’t bought the headboard yet and I believe that will take care of the gap. We LOVE our latex mattress, couldn’t be happier. The service and quality at great at this business, we will be back for that headboard and soon will replace our daughter’s bed with latex from here, too.
