Excellent service at this shop. From booking my appointment to the septum piercing I got from J. P, everyone was friendly, enthusiastic and always kept communicating with me. JP has a lot of passion for his job. He is a lovely man, very caring and methodical in his work. I have definitely found my go-​to place for piercing and perhaps tattoos as well. I would love to see pictures of piercings he does on Instagram, as it’s currently all tattoos. I’d also love to see some interesting, top quality jewelry offered after my piercing is healed like flaming bones or BVLA septum clickers.

I got an upper lobe piercing here from Jean-​Paul a few days ago — he was excellent. I came in at about 1pm on a Saturday and he offered me an appointment at 4. When I came back, there was quite a line-​up of people wanting consultations, jewellery changes etc — I was at the back of the line and ended up having to wait 40 minutes. A little annoying, but the staff were very nice about it and there are worse places to kick around for a while.
The actual piercing part was easy — JP was great at suggesting placement and went out of his way to show that everything was being done hygienically etc. He managed to place it in a way that avoided the cartilage, which was ideal. He’s been doing the job for decades and is obviously hugely passionate about it. He even went as far as to recommend a place in Vancouver (where I live) where they can help with any future piercings/​after care. It’s now a few days later and my piercing seems to be healing well.
I also appreciated that he didn’t try and sell me any overpriced aftercare rubbish — he just suggested salt water twice a day. The whole thing cost $ 30 — great value.

I got a tattoo from Corey a few months ago, and I am very happy with it. I even brought a friend of mine in to get her tattoo at Painted Lotus when she was visiting me from the mainland. The place is clean, the people are friendly, and the prices are not ridiculous. A friend of mine got her nose pierced by JP while I was getting my tattoo, and was also very happy with her experience. Would definitely recommend.

I got a couple of dermal anchors from Jean-​Paul today and it was my best piercing experience so far (and I have over 10 piercings). JP was super sweet and explained everything in detail before the piercing, he showed me the jewelry available and made sure the placement was perfect. I could not be happier about the way my piercings turned out! The studio was clean and the staff was friendly as well, I highly recommend this place!
